We waited 30 minutes which was not bad for how busy it was, the service was horrible we waited over an hour for food and when everything came out it was obvious that either they forgot about us or something else not entirely sure. the scallops my friend ordered came out dry from sitting under the heat lamp along with 2 orders of grouper which where ordered blackened but came out just grilled and dry from sitting under a heat lamp. I ordered a seafood capri pasta dish the lobster was and rubbery and sour which ended up giving me food poisoning. Wanted to give this place a shot as we've dined at another spot just down the road. The vibe is chill here with some picnic tables in the sand and a tiki hut bar. We started with some rum punch drinks which were nice, especially when paired with the beautiful views. We visited at lunch, but I suspect sunsets must be very nice here. We tried the fish tacos, with grilled grouper. Pretty tasty, with 3 tacos and some nice fries on the side. Unlike other reviews, our food arrived in a reasonable time, however we only saw our waiter to place an order and then after we were done with our food. What a disappointment! Place doesn't look as good as it does on social media posts. Tables and chairs all wobble like your on a boat! Overall a good restaurant to visit for fresh seafood. Service and food served was good.

We beat a monster summer storm to our table, then enjoyed dinner with a show! Downed nice gin and tonic with black bean soup, followed by the fried grouper platter. While we were first timers, the mostly local crowd and hard working staff made us feel welcome Less crazy and much small than Island Gypsy. We can't wait to try more of the menu! read more

We started out ordering frozen concoctions... I got a pina colada, and hubs ordered a banana daquri. This place is literally a tiki hut with a little beach behind it, so you would think they would know how to make a decent frozen drink. Sadly, this is not the case. Ar least, not on our visit. They were the worst frozen drinks I have ever had... it had very bland flavor, the consistency was icy, not creamy, and I hardly tasted any liquor. Stick with beer, wine, or a standard mixed drink. Thankfully, the food was much better than the drinks. I didn't want fried food, but I was also not in the mood for a salad... so I ordered the seafood casserole, which was served with veggies & rice. It was very good with mahi, scallops, and shrimp. The veggies included steamed broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and yellow squash. The veggies were very good and not overcooked. Very happy I ordered this. Hubs ordered seafood pasta with garlic & butter sauce. He was very pleased with the flavor and the generous portion size. Our server took good care of us and noticed we weren't drinking our yucky drinks, so he took them off our tab. We were appreciative of that. We ended up getting takeout from Capri Fish House while visiting the area recently. It's a popular spot that gets pretty busy during peak times, plus it was a super windy day and they mostly have outdoor seating so we decided we'd rather eat at home. Our food was ready when we arrived. I also got a virgin pina colada to go, which was everything I dreamed of - sweet but not too sweet, and delicious. I ordered the grouper finger basket with onion rings, and Nate got the grouper sandwich with Cajun seasoning and fries. It's definitely always a bit of a gamble getting fried food as takeout, and my onion rings were really soggy after the 15 minute drive back home. They were still tasty, and the grouper fingers were the star of the show anyway. They were crispy on the outside with what seemed like a cornmeal crust, and the fish was flaky and tender. It was a generous portion, too. The restaurant has the best beach vibes with seating right on the water or on the deck under the tiki hut. They also have kayaks and paddle boards to rent which is really cool. read more

Arrived at Capri Fishouse with a party of 8. Let's get the ugly out of the way first. Parking is horrendous. Finally found a spot on the road in the grass. I returned after dinner to a 30$ parking ticket, collier county code enforcement tip. Several cars were parked in the same area and no visible no parking sign. Now the good: The receptionist was very friendly, cordial and accommodating. In addition The owner , Mike Castellano, welcomed us and escorted us to our table. Our server, Marbois is the best. Very friendly and patient(4 children under the age of 11). Timely service. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Ambiance was great, with old Florida vibe. Live music was great at the right decibel where we could enjoy conversation and also a good musician. My granchildren enjoyed themselves. Have friends that used to live there on the isles of capri. They told me they walked by the restaurant at night and found out they had a huge rat infestation next to their dumpster. We tried Capri Fish House for the first time on this year's annual trip to Marco Island. We arrived in time for Happy Hour and tried an appetizer and drinks at a good price before placing our dinner order. It was a busy night and our server did a good job inspire of the crowd. The view is nice as you are right on the water but the atmosphere is rustic at best. We choose to sit on the beach area picnic tables. You're right next to the water and have sand between your toes. Started with some drinks (recommend the Piña Colada). We ordered the coconut shrimp meal and fried grouper pieces. The grouper was nice and crunchy. The shrimp did not taste like coconut or have the traditional flakes on it. It was fried well though. Don't go during mosquito season - which is most of the year in FL. The staff will offer you Off bug spray but they believe there isn't anything more they can do. I beg to differ but I left 5 minutes after ordering and took it home. It's a nice spot though. The food is fine. The singer was awful. Btw plenty can be done to avoid mosquitos from causing guests to need a transfusion. What you allow continues. read more

We were very excited to try the Capri fish house. But we were very disappointed. The food was terrible. The prices were priced for a 5 star restaurant, but the quality was not there. There were 7 of us and all of our dishes were terrible. The house potatoes are instant potatoes!! The grouper Trinidad was raw. Vegetables were mush. And when asking for bill our server said she could not give us itemized bill, deleted by accident. When she finally gave us an itemized bill, they added on $80 tip, without our knowledge. Service: We were the ONLY customers there.There were at least 4 employees milling around doing nothing and one guy strutting up and down the dock on his phone. After we were served, the 'entertainment' arrived and the bartender chose to chat him up and totally ignore us. Food: The mushrooms were awful. The mushroom itself was small and chewy. The stuffing was heavy on breading and light on crab. The whole thing was topped off with a thick sauce which, I swear, was condensed cream of shrimp soup. Way too salty. Then , [since he couldn't ask the bartender, who was still chatting, if it was okay and because he saw the ashtrays on the bar] , my husband assumed it was okay to light a cigar. Did I mention that we were the ONLY customers? Yup...the ONLY ONES. Suddenly "Mr. On The Phone" comes into the bar area and dramatically says, " Who's smoking a cigar in my restaurant.? Didn't you see the sign? " Yes we missed the cutesy bear posted on the wall of the restaurant building saying ' no cigars please'. The bartender tried to tell us that it was the law. Hmmmm...But cigarettes are okay? We used to like to come for a drink or two and enjoy the view and the sunset. NOT ANY MORE The Capri Fish House is off our list. We have been coming here many years just for the view and enjoyed sitting with our feet in the water on Adirondack chairs next to the tiki hut restaurant. Most of the chairs are gone now. The tiki restaurant is mainly bar area with a few dining tables. The food is not worth the price you pay. We had the broiled seafood platter. Everything tasted like it was reheated leftovers. The rice and vegetables were overcooked and bland. Our waiter was busy serving in bar area and was too distracted to provide good service. We used to go for the ambiance but that seems to have disappeared along with the quality of the food. Won't be back. read more
