I'm insanely picky with my nails and because of that I like to try out different places in the area. I used to be a regular at Capri, but of course, I cheated. The only complaint that I have about Capri is the price point. However, it is in the Silicon Valley, and most nail places around here are at the same price point. I came in after going to another nail salon that didn't want to take off my acrylics. I came in at around 3pm and asked if they could take off my acrylics and do dip powder instead. I LOVE the receptionist at Capri-- she is so sweet and helpful. They had time for me and worked on my nails right away. Kim was so gentle with the drill and definitely knows what she's doing. I always am picky about small details with my nails but she filed them the exact shape that I wanted. This is my first time doing dip powder, and the glossiness and durability is insane. I love how beautiful they look, and to get my acrylics removed and do the dipping powder was $45. Not too bad for the amazing service that she did. I recommend coming to Capri. I went to Capri Nail Spa once before about three weeks ago to very satisfactory results for my first time experimenting with Dip Tip Nails. As it was my first time, I mistakenly went too light (you could see the added tip), so I was not able to achieve the look I was going for. So, this was my mistake and did not think much of it. However, this time I did have a different nail tech and was disappointed with the results. After about 3 hours (nails were done at 6pm) the nails started to get dents in the polish. It was a different process than the original manicure. Just a clear dip with polish on top. However when I called it seemed as though I could have just gotten them filled. I should have done more research into the maintenance Dip Tip required. Yet, when I called it sounded as though you would be able to get a fill like an acrylic or gel manicure? This is not the case and ended up paying $35+ for this style manicure. I would suggest going with the dip tip regular powder colors if you're going to go for this as again, it's now been 4.5 hours and the manicure is not holding up. Late review. The only reason I stopped here was because it's close to my workplace. I had quite a disappointing experience. The lady at the front desk was perfectly polite but I found the other staff quite unprofessional. Multiple times I noticed that when my nail technician asked me something and I responded, he and the other technicians would start talking in another language and laugh. This also happened almost every time another client said something. Maybe just a coincidence, but definitely didn't make a good experience. This salon is near my office so I decided to try out one evening before I had to head to an event. The staff was not very friendly. The woman who did my nails barely spoke to me. Another staff member came by and tried to up-sell me on other services, namely eyelash extensions. I told her I'm very happy with the person I go to, and she still tried to convince me to come here. I had to say no several times, and did not appreciate the hard sell. More importantly, the woman doing my nails did not do a great job; I got a gel manicure and it began chipping V in less than a week. I've never had a gel manicure chip before. And at $35, it was more expensive than most salons I've been to of a similar caliber. Bottom line, I don't recommend this place at all! read more

The first manicurist applied uneven layers of shellac with loads of airbubbles. Van does an excellent job on my powder dip nails--if I'm having trouble picking from one of their large selections of colors she always has suggestions that will look good with my skin tone. I feel truly pampered after having my nails done. I also enjoy the pedicures--especially with the hot stone massage. A luxurious experience and not be missed. They take covid seriously and I appreciate that. To be honest, the price doesn't bother me. They take their time and I never feel it is a rushed job. Got a powder dip manicure and it looked good although they 1) cut one of my thumbs doing it and 2) dip your fingers directly in the powder jar which is warned to be unsanitary. They also made accidental cuts in two of my friends that went with me. They next day, one of my nails came completely off. I went in and the fixed it right away for free, which was nice. However, the next day THREE MORE nails fell off. Not sure why-- I wasn't doing anything crazy. Didn't want to make the time to go back to fix. So, a total of 4 nails came off. I caught two of them lifting a bit so those weren't a surprise, but the other two I didn't even notice they were gone until I looked at my hands. :( read more

Pedi's are relaxing and pleasant, and being married I don't really have to care what people think. Men who are too "masculine" for a pedi are idiots. I am masculine enough not to care what they think. I ran the Camp Pendleton mud run in So-Cal in combat boots, and went for a pedi right after. I was having a stressful month, what with taking care of my grandma, piling workload and soon to be quitting my job to move clear across the country (West Coast to East Coast), yep, you could see why my stress level was going through the roof so I decided to treat myself to a pedicure (basic). The nail salon is clean and bright. There are several spa pedicure chairs along the walls and manicure nail stations in the middle. It's advisable to make an appointment. I was a walk-in so I waited at least 20 min. before getting service. They did an excellent job on my toes, so good, that the polish lasted without any chipping for about a month and half. I have been to this place for service almost once a month (that's my frequency for having pedi/mani done). I like this place because it looks clean to me. I did the SPA pedi/mani before. they did put salt rubbing your hands/feet...and then later on they even put your hands/feet into a plastic bag with warm liquid that as it cool off, it's almost like a wax. My skin was so soft afterward. I usually have the basic pedi/mani package. I don't do french nowdays. However, they have amazing service! I always have a hard time to decide what color - so they will let me try a few :) Once I picked a soft pink, they even asked me if I wanted to do an extra third coating to get have that opaque outcome. But the biggest surprise from this place was the eyebrow waxing. I actually received compliments from my friends saying my eyebrows were shaped beautifully (not knowing I pay someone else to shape my eyebrows). I like this place. It looks clean. And the big windows help to keep the shop bright and clean. :D sometimes I just like to stare at the blue sky from the windows. haha! I see alot of its customers come for gel nail. so I think they must be doing a great job - if not, people wouldn't come back for it. I even saw them doing pedi/mani for little girls!!!!! Filthy. Not just dirty, but flat-out sticky, crusty polish, toenail remnant, don't let the blue light fool you gross. But don't take my word for it, refer to the photo I loaded titled "Filthy-Dirty-Gross". The name says it all. My day at the nail salon started as many Yelp-adventures do.... with a 4-star promise of perfection. I made an early morning appointment for a full mani-pedi and was one of the first to arrive... surely the time when the salon should be the cleanest. The first sign things were amiss was at the polishes: a jumbled mishmash of random brands in random order, many who had their lids caked and stuck from any lack of cleaning. And they were displayed with a bold sign stating if I dropped one it would cost me $10. Charming. I'll be careful. Then I was lead to the chair, and I brushed the fingernail shards away before I sat down. For some added humor, the nail remnants were scattered around a notebook logging "cleaning times" that proudly sits in each chair. Maybe this notebook is to give false hope or reassurance, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with cleaning. The mani-pedi itself was a good job at a fair price, which will keep me from reporting them to the health department. I really like this place. It is VERY clean, always smells great, and the staff is really friendly. They always treat you as though you are a loyal and life-long customer, even if you're like me and only go once in awhile. I like that. Despite how busy it gets, they always seem to fit you in. This doesn't mean that anyone ever gets rushed, or they leave you waiting like some other places. They seem to have billions of employees waiting for all of us customers. I had one of the deluxe manicures, and it was fan-freaking-tastic! The paraffin, the massage, and the beautiful manicure was exactly what I need that day. It was worth every single penny. Went here with five ladies to do a group pedicure for my bday. The pros were the it was super duper easy to get an appointment for our group (we usually get massages but it's such a pain to organize for 5 people). The spa pedicure was really cool... they do a scrub and the paraffin wax thing, which I've never done before, all for 35 dollars. At first I thought that was a little pricey but after I saw all the stuff they did to my feet I think it's a pretty good deal. I also got a flower on my big toes.. i gotta say it is the most awesome flower I've ever had on my toes. It even has a little gem on it... seriously beautiful BUT... it was $10 extra for it. If I had know at the time I don't think i would have gone for it. I was thinking 2-5 dollars max since other places only charge like a dollar or two for things like that. I think for $10 they should do all your toes with flowers right?? One complaint I have now looking at my toes is that a lot of them look like they only have a single coat of polish .. i'm not sure if that's just the polish I chose but it just doesn't seem as even as other places I've gone to. This is place is great! Across the street from my work, so very convenient. Always can get a same day appointment, and the lady up front is so accommodating. She remembers me, even if I haven't been in quite some time, and knows who and how I like my manicure done. This review is for how they handled a manicure that was done a smidge too thick, and therefore was peeling off within a two week time frame. I called and explained what happened, she was super understanding and scheduled me for appointment a couple hours later. Tiffany was my manicurist and she was great, even knowing that it wasn't a paid service, as they were repairing the last, and she wasn't the one who did my original peel-off one. She was super knowledgeable and did a brilliant technique of painting a couple, setting with heat, painting the other side, setting, etc. She was kind throughout and didn't seem agitated or rushed, she took her time and ensured it was the same service had I actually been paying for it. Hoping this one holds up, but if not, we'll know it was the polish and not technique. Any who, highly recommend and am thankful for their extra service today and going out of their way to make it better, even after the fact! :D read more

I can see why powder might be nice but this is the first time I have ever had to get my nails redone within a week in the 16 years I have been getting my nails professionally done. What a find! The vibe is very much like Lavande (spa style manicures at hole in the wall prices), but it is closer to my house, the staff is friendlier, and it is less crowded. I have been to several high end spas for manicures (including La Belle, which is supposed to be the best in the area) and this one blows them away. The owner has done my nails both times I've been there and both manicures were flawless. She put on the best set of gel nails I have ever had, and I am now going on two weeks with OPI's "I'm not really a waitress" red still looking great (no chips or smudges) on my fingers. The pedicure chairs are HEAVEN. They feel like the high end massage chairs in a chiropractor's office, not those rundown chairs that tickle your back in most budget nail salons. Just one word of caution: a different person did my pedicure, and the polish job just was not as nice. The best part about this spa is how sanitary they are. They leave the pedicure logs out so you can see that they really are cleaning between services; they use still water (not jets) for the pedicures because jets are hard to sanitize properly; and they sanitize the other instruments right in front of you. I always bring my own instruments to new spas, but I am comfortable enough here to leave them home now. Overall, it's a great experience. Capri is very new (just two months old) and in many ways I didn't want to write this review because I am really enjoying how quiet it is right now. But the owner is great, and I hope for her sake that others enjoy it as much as I have. read more

I've conducted routine pedi-checks on a daily basis - I absolutely hate walking around with chipped polish - it's tacky mctackster... So just a note that it's been 2 weeks worth of pedicure plus my wearing heels with nothing between the polish, the shoes and lots of walking, and there is still not ONE single chip....!!! My daughter and I happened upon Capri last December and we're really glad we did! I spent some time reading the reviews here before I put freshly acrylic filled nails/fingers to keyboard. I wanted to make sure that I saw both sides of the story, as I am quite biased about this place. The sisters that run this salon are amazing, and super sweet. I hate to say westernized, but they speak english flawlessly, which is a rare thing in a world of pop-up nail salons. Since we are there pretty much every weekend, and this isn't a joke, since I get my nails filled, need my various bits waxed, my daughter needs eyebrows waxed and the occasional manicure, and of course we sit and get pedicure's together, it really does seem like we're there weekly...we are literally treated like one of the family. Everyone is all smiles as we walk in, the technicians come and hug us as we talk with one of the sisters, always ready to have some good natured teasing along the way. I have to laugh now as I remember my experience with one technician. As she was doing my nails, she point blank said, "You should have your eyebrows done'...being the low key, take-nothing-personally sort, I just laughed, turned to Tran and said, well, she's a great sales person! I am sure that my interactions with the staff are a surprise to some of the clients that come to this salon. Since I basically know every single person that works there, we have a great playful exchange together, we're always laughing and having a great time...heck I even got my bangs cut by Kieu yesterday, much to the amusement of my nail technician and one of the owner sisters! I will probably never live that one down! Isn't that what its all about when you're spending the day getting pampered? Feeling comfortable enough to literally kick off your shoes and relax as if you're sitting around with your girlfriends gossiping? We've never had to wait for any service, even on the busiest of weekends, (perhaps because we're regulars) but we watch as people come and they are taken care of immediately, and I have sat at the UV bar with others and have heard how pleased they are with the service, how great the place is, etc. Definitely check out the spa mani/pedi's...they really are a thing of beauty...and yes, its cash only for tips...but that's cool with me, its worth it! read more

I came in for a spa manicure/pedicure--the service I received was outstanding--my hands and feet feel like velvet. I also brought my six year old daughter to get her birthday mani/pedi--she had such an awesome time. The Capri staff were very attentive and gave her the princess treatment. I also noticed a few other good qualities of Capri. On their downtime, employees are cleaning and sanitizing the store. (Great for me because I've heard too many nail salon horror stories--you will have no worries here). Secondly, the owners, stand by their work--they have their employees carry out the job to their high standards. (**In most nail salons, manicurists rent the stations, so they have their own techniques (which sometimes aren't the greatest). Here, the owners inspect their employees' work and make sure their job is solid and that you're satisfied. Prices are reasonable. They even have monthly promotions which makes it such a great deal. All in all, they are an honest business (not out to scam people like other places). Reviewers here giving 3 or less stars are just having a bad day. If you are not satisfied with something (within reason), then let the owners know and they'll help you out the best they can. I definitely recommend this place. I also suggest making an appointment instead of walking in as they are getting popular :) But if you were to talk in, mornings are best. read more

Went here for a mani/pedi on the recommendation of a co-worker...they have 10% off for Google employees so that was an extra incentive. Sadly, I was disappointed. Yes, they were very clean & the receptionist at least speaks English so making an appointment was no problem. I did like that they got both my manicure & pedicure done in just 45 minutes (they worked on hands and feet at the same time, which is good when you don't want to spend 2 hours at the nail salon). The bad....the tech who was working on my toes made a comment about my legs being hairy. Yes, it was true, but how rude is it to point that out to me? Also, the toenail polish job looked like SHIT. Let me explain that it may have been the fault of my weird toenails, which is why I wasn't bold enough to ask them to completely re-do it, but when I said "Umm, it looks really bad" you'd think they could have offered to try and fix it somehow. I even would have paid for the polish change, but they just sort of ignored the problem. The fact that I had to go home any completely redo my own pedicure gets this place 3 stars. I might try them again, but will pay closer attention to how my toenails are looking so I don't leave with a mess. UPDATE: Went here to get my arms waxed and the waxer girl was really sweet. Three sisters own this place and it's really clean, big and fresh. The spa pedi is really reasonable and it's a steal if you get a mani/pedi. I don't want to spill the beans and ruin it for myself later, but one of the sisters gave me the best manicure I have seriously ever gotten in my life! I don't do fake nails and the job she did was so meticulous and perfect, I couldn't believe it! The O.P.I nail polish I brought in was pretty translucent, so she did a third coat, no problem! And you know how those really fast inattentive manicurists will totally miss the edge of your nail with the nail polish? Okay, so she totally got all my edges. ALL OF THEM! But I'm not gonna tell you her name because SHE'S MINE! Also, my nail polish lasts three days without chipping, tops. Her manicure lasted a good five days before the first signs of chipping. I will never see another manicurist. I LOVE her. Also, they don't chat in Vietnamese under their breath and make you think they're talking about you. It might seem petty, but we all think about it and we all hate it. So there. I said it. They're totally nice and friendly. -------Update------- As of August they stopped credit card processing, but they do accept checks - for the time being. OK I had to completely redo my rating of this place... because I got the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life from here today. I get pedicure's regularly, and I've never been in as much pain as I was here today! I went with 3 other girls, and they seemed to be fine... but for some reason I got the pedicurist from hell. I actually flinched 3-4 times and pulled my foot away. I usually don't like the loofah - but it's never painful - just ticklish. Normal pedicurist use the loofah on the callous parts of the foot - the ball and the heel. For some reason she rubbed that stone on TOP of my foot and on my arch! There's no rough skin there! I'm all scratched up now and 10 hours later still red. I think she took off a layer or 2 off the top. The massage was torture - and for some reason she concentrated on ONE spot on my right foot about 90% of the time she was doing the massage. She was digging her nail into my foot. What the hell? I think I'm bruised now. Then she beat up just one calf. Why? AND to make it worse... she kept asking me to get a design on my toes. I must have told her no about 10 times. "Oh I can put diamonds and flowers - it will be very pretty." GOD DAMMIT (sorry God)... BUT I DON'T WANT YOUR FREAKIN DESIGN ON MY TOES! Just paint my toes the dark red I picked and stop trying to upsell me things! I have to say, my friends liked their pedicures. I just got a bad person. And, I can't complain about the cleanliness of this place. They really do a good job keeping it sanitary. But... I don't think I'm coming back. I don't want to risk getting the nail-devil again. read more
