I went in on a Thursday around 11am, and it was packed! Honestly, I was a bit surprised that every chair was taken. After checking in, the front desk lady told me to wait outside. Eventually, another woman came to get me. I booked my appointment a few days in advance, so I wasn't expecting to wait outside, but I understand that the business was very busy. To preface, I enjoy getting pedicures, but I don't use polish or gel because I prefer not to have anything artificial on my nails. My service was done much sooner than everyone else who had been sitting in the chairs before I arrived, possibly because I didn't use polish or gel? The chair was comfy, and the person who did my pedicure was kind, but it felt rushed since someone else was waiting for a pedicure chair. While I enjoyed the experience, I didn't think it was worth $50 plus tip. Overall not a great experience. Wanted a nice French manicure for my daughter's graduation. I have short nails, so asked for tips with both the receptionist and technician. Was dismissed by both. Felt like they just wanted to get me in and out. Gel hasn't even lasted a week. Several nails are chipping and one nail is completely lifting off. Safe to say, we will not be coming back here. Have been coming here for over two years for pedicures and gel manicures (builder or hard gel) when I was local, but will still stop by when I'm in the area (just moved away recently). I have really high standards for my nails and The Nail Bar has always delivered! Their team has been able to deliver on every nail art request I've had. Their owner helps you connect with the tech best suited to your request. Their expertise helped me to identify that hard gel is best for my line of work (frequent hand washing and sanitizing, heavily physical at times). The hard gel never lifts no matter the growth, it's filed thin and natural looking, and the beautiful nail apex they create is probably the reason I have never had nail breakage-- of the gel or my own nail-- despite my work! Recommendation for new customers: definitely make an appointment or call before coming, whether for your full set or your repairs! While they take walk-ins, they are a BUSY salon. They are very accommodating, as they've done repairs for others in-between my own manicures. I came here probably 2-3 years ago and had a bad manicure experience (I think they took the review down but when I went to write this review in 2025 the old manicure photos are popping up). I had a friend want to do a group mani/pedi date recently and she was told by a friend to go to The Nail Bar. I was hesitant because of my experience here in the past but figured since some time had passed I'd give it another go around. This time I went for a gel French pedicure. My pedicure was 7 days ago (last Wednesday). Since Monday night (5 days after my pedicure) FOUR of my TEN toe nails peeled off! Mind you I've been doing my own Japanese hard gel Russian manicures & pedicures at home since 2019 and I've gotten so good at it, this is why I am hesitant going to salons now because I often walk out feeling like I would've done a better job myself with the prep/attention to detail (which is a bummer because pedicures are nice because of the massage too). When I do my own gel pedicures at home I could run a marathon on the beach barefoot and my gel on my toes lasts at least a month with zero chipping! Needless to say I'm disappointed yet again by The Nail Bar. My toe cuticles hadn't even been pushed back prior to trimming, and to top it off the fact that 60% of my toe nails are now peeled off just 1 week after is extremely disappointing after a $100 total service including charge + a 20% tip. I am a second time around lost patron after hoping to give this place the benefit of the doubt :( read more

2 stars because ladies are very nice and knew their colors well.. But my basic gel manicure 1 solid color was 60$ with removal + tip began to lift the same night.. she drilled off my old gel (which I had for about 4 weeks + swimming in Hawaii at that point with no lifting at all done at all salon in LA for 30$...) there were still specks left on my nail of my old polish! Some nails look like they will last a while but 4 are lifted from the cuticle area and it's been about 3 days. I feel that my tech definitely went too close to my cuticle but I thought they would know better than me so I didn't say anything... I did not like the drilling of my old gel and some other aspects but may be will try a different technician next time if I reaaaally need a last minute nail appointment. ----- I reached out and they happily fixed my nails !!! So far so good, will keep update how this one lasts. But already longer than the other manicure! read more

I've been going to nail bar for around a year and a half now and they are THE BEST! I've had Jessica, Ruby, and Tracy work on my nails multiple times (especially Tracy) and they always give me what I'm looking for. Five stars every time! Everyone is super accommodating and kind; and the atmosphere of the place is always super energetic while simultaneously maintaining its calm and peace. Gigi Is also the best shop owner ever! She is so kind and on top of it, like she ALWAYS picks up my phone calls whenever i have questions, need to move an appointment, need a last minute nail fix, or when i'm simply running a couple minutes late. The nail technician was very inexperienced. She cut my toe when trimming my cuticles too aggressively, but then tried to hide it by pushing my foot into the dirty water while I was working on my laptop. She treated me like I was overreacting when I asked her what happened. It bled for about 15 minutes, and stung for a full week after. I think the only reason I didn't get infected is because 2x per day, I put antibiotic ointment on the cut. So not ok. She also didn't complete the full service - I guess she spent too long mopping up my bleeding toe and wanted to get another client in to make more money. Really bad experience after going to this salon for a few years. Most of the technicians are pretty good, but this was a pretty big mistake on something that could have dire consequences (I've seen people with infections from pedicures and it isn't pretty!). The owner also saw it and said nothing. These guys should have owned their mistake and not tried to pretend it didn't happen. I am looking for a new pedicure location now... not going back. read more

Drive from San Jose was a bit far, BUT the service and cleanliness was excellent, all the staff were so patient with me plus the location is in a good area away from the neighborhoods and right next to mountain view. I made an appointment over text with the owner (Gigi), more than a week ahead of time. When I went in, they seemed to not be expecting me. I had planned on getting a full gel set of nails and was hoping they would explain the different options to me, and I found myself getting a full set of acrylic nails which was not what I wanted. The experience was dreadful. My nail tech (I think her name Keri), told me they'd look "natural," but they are thick and uneven. This review is for the nail tech , Tiffany. I want to preface this by saying that the business owner and salon are a five star but I had such a bad experience with Tiffany that I felt it necessary to share with others. And warn you if you book with Tiffany she may just storm off and ask someone else to finish your nails if you dare ask for a correction. My sister's wedding is next week and with all the preparation I realized today was the best day to make time for my nails. Simple nudes square nails with a hard gel refill. Tiffany completed most of the service and then asked me what I thought before polish application. I said great shape but can you clean in the underside of the nail , since I picked "love is in the bare " a very nude OPI color there was a chipped darkened corner of my own nail underneath that was visible. This could have easily been avoided if in the first step she cleaned and prep the nail correctly. This is for a special occasion and they need to last me through all of next week. 1. She used a cuticle clipper to try to pull up the darkened broken nail under need that she did not property prep before coating w the new gel refill. 2. She suggested that I could just fix it with lemon 3. When I asked if she could shave that corner down with the drill and re apply the gel she stood up angrily and left . My nails were still not polished and she was never to be seen again, "Someone else can do your nails , you always do this " she exclaimed in front of the whole salon and walked off into the back never to be seen again. This was at 7pm - closing time. I was stunned. I had been completely silent throughout the entire service until she asked me if everything looked ok. My usual nail tech, Lynn who is amazing , was finishing up her client . It was already 7pm and thanks to Tiffany , Lynn had to stay extra to finish the polish for my nails. I was so grateful to Lynn for being so professional and also to the owner who did not charge me for the service that I generously gave all of the tip to Lynn. I finally got a chance to try out the Nail Bar in Loyola Corners as I live right around the corner from them! I was easily able to make a reservation by texting their number and they are usually very prompt! When you arrive, you check in on a tablet. I think you get points from checking in (or maybe it is when you pay?) I am not really sure what the point of this is but I would love to learn more LOL. Queenie is my nail tech and she is the absolute best. She is attentive and has a strong eye for detail. I got a full acrylic set from and it lasted soooo long. I got a fill a little under four weeks but it did not budge or lift! So good. Queenie is super great with nail designs, and she does them so quick too. Each design is usually $5/nail on top of the base price. I think I paid around $90 including tip which is extremely high for a full set with 4 designs. However, for the length it lasts, it can be worth it! The Nail Bar is also located in Los Altos and is a more high end salon and it reflects in their work. The salon itself is super bright and clean. They have a plastic guard between the customer and nail tech to prevent cross contamination between the two people. The salon also has good ventilation because it never smells like nail polish/toxins. The Nail Bar is a super awesome salon for all your nail needs!
