I'm insanely picky with my nails and because of that I like to try out different places in the area. I used to be a regular at Capri, but of course, I cheated. The only complaint that I have about Capri is the price point. However, it is in the Silicon Valley, and most nail places around here are at the same price point. I came in after going to another nail salon that didn't want to take off my acrylics. I came in at around 3pm and asked if they could take off my acrylics and do dip powder instead. I LOVE the receptionist at Capri-- she is so sweet and helpful. They had time for me and worked on my nails right away. Kim was so gentle with the drill and definitely knows what she's doing. I always am picky about small details with my nails but she filed them the exact shape that I wanted. This is my first time doing dip powder, and the glossiness and durability is insane. I love how beautiful they look, and to get my acrylics removed and do the dipping powder was $45. Not too bad for the amazing service that she did. I recommend coming to Capri. They also do an amazing job with pedicures as well. Thank you Kim for your amazing service. You have me as a regular again.

3 hours for dip. It was the worst manicure experience of my life. And overpriced. Do not recommend!

Literally the worst manicure experience of my life. It took them 3 hours for a simple dip. They took off and put on the polish 3 different times. My nails and cuticles still hurt from the aggressive grinding off. And it's chipping by the end of the day. Overpriced on top of all of that. Horrible experience. Do not recommend.

I want to start by saying that I really didn't know what to expect about this place. I happened to be passing by it and thinking of having my nails done. I walked in to see if they would take me in. They were busy so I made an appointment for later that day. The lady was very sweet. Came back later for my appointment and showed the lady what I wanted. Kim did my nails. She was very sweet and did a great job. She didn't know how to do the art I wanted on my nail so she asked to another lady ( I don't recall her name ) to do it. I have to say I'm very happy how they turn out! I'm obsessed with my nails. I also want to say that I'm impressed with this nail salon. They take COVID very seriously. Everything is very clean. They checked my temperature and asked to have hands washed before my service. I'm definitely coming back.

It's been about 4 hours since I got the Dip Manicure and this just happened.

I went to Capri Nail Spa once before about three weeks ago to very satisfactory results for my first time experimenting with Dip Tip Nails. As it was my first time, I mistakenly went too light (you could see the added tip), so I was not able to achieve the look I was going for. So, this was my mistake and did not think much of it. However, this time I did have a different nail tech and was disappointed with the results. After about 3 hours (nails were done at 6pm) the nails started to get dents in the polish. It was a different process than the original manicure. Just a clear dip with polish on top. However when I called it seemed as though I could have just gotten them filled. I should have done more research into the maintenance Dip Tip required. Yet, when I called it sounded as though you would be able to get a fill like an acrylic or gel manicure? This is not the case and ended up paying $35+ for this style manicure. I would suggest going with the dip tip regular powder colors if you're going to go for this as again, it's now been 4.5 hours and the manicure is not holding up. Kind front desk and techs are nice but, not worth the cost for me.

Service was amazing, the ladies were lovely people and very welcoming. Only problem was that it was a bit overpriced, I paid 85$ (w/ tip was 97$) for a quite simple nail style.

We love Capri Nail Spa, the staff is always so friendly and their salon is so clean and pleasant.

Filthy. Not just dirty, but flat-out sticky, crusty polish, toenail remnant, don't let the blue light fool you gross. But don't take my word for it, refer to the photo I loaded titled "Filthy-Dirty-Gross". The name says it all. My day at the nail salon started as many Yelp-adventures do.... with a 4-star promise of perfection. I made an early morning appointment for a full mani-pedi and was one of the first to arrive... surely the time when the salon should be the cleanest. The first sign things were amiss was at the polishes: a jumbled mishmash of random brands in random order, many who had their lids caked and stuck from any lack of cleaning. And they were displayed with a bold sign stating if I dropped one it would cost me $10. Charming. I'll be careful. Then I was lead to the chair, and I brushed the fingernail shards away before I sat down. For some added humor, the nail remnants were scattered around a notebook logging "cleaning times" that proudly sits in each chair. Maybe this notebook is to give false hope or reassurance, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with cleaning. The mani-pedi itself was a good job at a fair price, which will keep me from reporting them to the health department. But I currently count myself lucky that I seem to have escaped without any communicable fungus or rot. But I won't press my luck again.

    Regular manicure (not gel) $17

I've taken my daughter here last year before school started, and had a great experience. She has…read morewavy hair, and had a female presenting stylist. So, I figured we can both come in today, almost a year later, for a touch up on both of us. I went in for a walk-appointment as we live within walking distance, and I was looking to reshape my hair for more bounce with my 3a/b hair (photos taken before, and even prior showing texture) I've been growing for three years. I do not use heat, except for low warm on a blow dryer to combat a skin condition on my scalp, at night, otherwise, air dry only. The only male presenting staff member in the shop was doing all the haircuts for today, and I should've known this wasn't going to go well when he began with a fine tooth comb to comb out my curls, (which was intentionally left, to show my hair texture). After switching combs, he has decided to comb from root to tip, and had passed the comb hard through my hair, which broken through any coiled together hair. I said that it would be best to use the comb at the the ends of the hair to release the coils, and slowly work up the strands instead of from the root. That advice wasn't taken. Next, the cut started fine, except there was no sign of a spray bottle, anywhere. Not once. Instead, he pulls what sounded like and felt like a blow-dryer, which he used on my daughter's bangs, and decided to use to smooth the back of her hair out which was not what we asked for, but was eventually being charged for (which I declined). Instead, when he is in my line of sight, I eventually see a two step process which is a teal/blue straightener chased with a tong-like smoothing brush (two smoothing brushes inward like tongs). By this point, half of my hair was already "stretched" by what I now realize was this method. I settled in thinking it won't be that bad, but towards the end as the straightener is closer to the front of my face do I begin to notice the heat must be really high, as it the smell of burn/over heated hair is prominent. It was too late. I thought nothing of it, as couldn't feel how hot as it was on my roots, however, after being able to smell it, I knew my curls were subject to damage. After sitting with it for 5 hours, and still smelling my singed hair, I decided to wash it, gently, and with cool water, and my curl structure has now changed from 3a/b to 2c hair. This may not seem like much, but the entire point of my visit today was to lift my curls up for more volume and framing my face, and now I am left with wavy hair. I wasn't asked about using heat. I now have to figure out how to undo this texture damage, as I hardly ever use heating tools except occasionally at the roots due to scale psorasis and not having wet scalp helps heal it. Knowing I paid $15 tip for both cuts/trims, $20 for bangs, and $55 for my cut, a total of $90, I am upset. I feel like I should have been asked before even considering using even a blow-dryer, let along a straightener, or at least tell me that my hair texture is unfamiliar, or decline me completely if not knowing how to work with curly hair. I have always had stylists and hair dressers use water after brushing out to stretch the hair. Never using heat. Even at the end when they want to show texture, they ask if they could us a blow dryer, which I usually decline. I would like to have this fixed somehow with a treatment for moisture or a refund.
