And when it comes to the core mission, East Side gets it done. The pizza is your classic neighborhood recipe: thin but chewy crust, slightly sweet tomato sauce, classic mozzarella (and plenty of it!), plus a decent coverage of toppings. We've tried a few combinations and liked them all. My order is always ready at the pickup time, and we've never had a pizza that was overcooked. One caveat: I tried an Italian Combo sub once, thinking they'd execute that well. They didn't. The bread was hard, and the meats too thick. Basically inedible.
