We ordered pick up from JoJo's a few days ago and were impressed with the food. Cheese bombs were delicious - garlicky and buttery with gooey melted cheese in the middle. I would have loved to see a side of marinara sauce come with them for dipping. White pizza was delicious although the edges of the pizza were a little on the chewier side. I would've loved to see more ricotta cheese in dollops rather than evenly spread out. Also topping it with roasted garlic would enhance it. I ordered from JoJo's recently on a whim, a local pizza place that we could order through doordash after 10pm, when many of the cuisines we like to order from are closed - as in, I could not order sushi on a Friday night after 10pm, but here was the pizza! We were pleasantly surprised. The listing on Door Dash calls this JoJo's New York Style pizza. The crust is really tasty- and even though it is thin, it stayed fairly crisp for arriving in a box. Although the 12 inch sizes are super expensive, They start at $20 each, which is hefty. Then I made one a veggie by adding on basil, mushrooms, and spinach, and this combo was delicious! Everyone in my family ate it (including my kids), which is saying a lot, and they even ate it the next day. My only pet peeve is the cost - for kinda random pizza without apparent-to-me distinction (not organic, or sourdough, or water flown in from nyc or flour from italy, etc)- a 12 inch starts at $20 for a plain cheese. This is a price I will gladly to pay for a large hole-in-the-wall pizza. Rude employees. Had a large takeout order so I checked all the food to make sure it was all there. One paper bag had two hot aluminum foil containers that contained marinara sauce which was leaking through the bag. I was not putting this bag in my car like this. I ripped the bag open to find that the weight of the top container opened the bottom one, which caused it to leak out. I asked for it to be put in a seperate bag that was not messsy and a new container that was not punctured. The man behind the counter then argued with me saying it spilled because I ripped the bag. Not true. Took lots of going up and back before he agreed to give me a new bag and container. Good food tho, just no customer service. read more

What do a JoJos pizza, and the beach, during a tsunami, have in common? The tide goes out on the sauce, and the sea, too far. Unlike the sea though, there is no rush of sauce and cheese where the pinchpenny pizzaiolo shorts you product. His pizza crust is over mixed. A high gluten flour doesn't need to be kneaded until it can stop a bullet. If he wants to sell it to the police as Neapolitan Lexan, cool. It's not supposed to drum up business for tooth replacements. They sell by the slice. The slices are almost the size of a small pizza! So JoJos arrives from the Hollywood with some promise that needs to be fulfilled. That they're in a building, which has had more cursed pizza places than Tom Selleck has had TV shows, has not helped them. Neither has the fact that the brick, in brick oven pizza, is the round in the box, not the oven. They have a menu of the usual pizza, pasta, wings etc. The toppings are top grade. All they need is someone to live the ingredients into a quality product. The pizzaiolo is just going through the motions. Parking is limited. They do have seating. Service is poor yet earnest. Got there at about 1am, pizza was soo good , wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was lol but me and my girlfriend found it as a nice surprise ! Corn nuggets were the best we've ever had , empanadas were perfect too. Definitely recommend ! Also , the pizza is very much worth the price ! read more

I was in town for work and decided to get a quick meal one night and ended up getting their stromboli with Mike's Hot Honey drizzled pepperoni and I was pleasantly surprised, I usually can't finish a whole one but this one was just really good and I just kept wanting to take bites. Very well made and baked. Perfect drizzle of honey that you get the sweet and savory flavors with the kick of heat without the overbearing honey taste that can sometimes occur. I received notification my pizza was delivered, but I never received my pizza. I contacted the company around 9:20PM to figure out what was going on. A Young girl answered the phone and refused to assist me. She was very rude and told me it was delivered and it was not their problem. She blamed it on the Uber driver. I asked her several times why they don't care that their customer never received their food. She kept insisting it's not their problem and she does not care. I asked to speak with a manager several times. She told me there was no manager in the store. She hung on me. I called back 10 minutes later and asked to speak with a manager. The same young girl replied the only person we have speaks Spanish only. I can hear in the background several English speaking employees laughing and making comments. She refused to refund my money and apologize for the mix-up. This young girl who answered should be FIRED. If they deliver your pizza to someone else, they will charge you for it. If you call to complain. They don't care. If you want a refund for services and food you never received, they will not refund you or apologize. I am extremely disappointment how I was treated and from reading other comments on the internet it seems this has happened to several other people and with this same GIRL. If this was my employee I would fire her. If this was my family member, or daughter, I would fire her! This attitude is unprofessional and unacceptable. If a food restaurant does not have a manager at the store at all times, this says a lot about the owners of this business. THEY DONT CARE! I had tried to find out what people thought who had gone there, but the only opinion I got was "not bad". To me, that is NOT a ringing review. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were extremely hungry and it was late in the evening and cooking something was out of the question. So Pizza...always a good go to. Except this time. Wanted to go to Brick Oven, but parking on Lake is difficult on a Saturday night and we couldn't park and walk. So we figured we would try JoJo's. Called on our way there and ordered a large pizza. In the NY metro area, pizzas were always just pizzas, there was no "size". It was one size fits all. Years ago pizza places started making small, medium and large. The problem I found is that most of the time they use the same size dough for each pie, and just stretch it more depending on the size. This results in thicker crusts than a NY pizza should have. Anyone can call themselves NY Style. But it doesn't make it so. Picked up the pizza. Had to wait a minute for it to come out of the oven. Took 5 minutes to get it home, and it was already cold. It was also TINY! This is large? This is the size of a frozen pizza from the supermarket. This is NOT a LARGE NY pizza! On top of that it was dry, the dough wasn't cooked enough and it was basically tasteless. Found out they have 5 sizes!! Small, medium, large, x-large and 3x large. ????? It's no wonder I never see any cars in the lot and they have a food truck there most of the time. I would NEVER get anything from them again. JoJo's can GoGo. read more
