I can't speak for "dine in" but I have ordered takeout a few times... each time I did I liked Capri's more and more. I didn't even have to call as they have support for mobile ordering. Capri is a cute old school Italian place. You can tell it is an older restaurant but it is not unclean. We went in looking for pizza, when we saw mussels on the menu as a appetizer we had to have them. They were VERY good. The pizza was good and fresh tasting, except for one thing. I ordered the vegetarian individual pizza, which would have been perfect had they not used frozen broccoli. Using frozen vegetables on pizza makes the dough soggy! I know fresh produce is expensive, but it's the middle of the summer. This restaurant is located in a rural area with many farms nearby. Unless I found out they started using fresh veggies I probably wouldn't go back. read more

We love Capri. We've been going there for years. It's probably our family favorite restaurant all around and definitely our favorite Italian restaurant. You won't find better linguini and clams, whether you get the red sauce or the white sauce. The zuppa de pesce is generous and full of delicious flavor, actually all the portions are generous. Our other family favorites include eggplant parm, chicken parm, and home made raviolis, and the marinara sauce, Alfredo sauce and blush sauce will make you want to lick the plate and the guys in our family always order a meatball on the side no matter what they get. They have great rustic pizzas as well. Some of the negative reviews confuse me because it's as if they're reviewing the wrong place since what they describe comes nowhere close to the restaurant and dishes that we've had so many times over the years. An added plus is that we can support a small local business and not break the bank. read more

We chose to visit this restaurant due to all of the positive Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, our experience couldn't have been any more of a contrast from the other reviews. Perhaps we just visited on the wrong day and ordered the wrong things, but somehow it didn't seem that way... This place was not clean and the atmosphere was strange. When we walked in, the hostess couldn't be bothered to speak to us, and when the waitress came to our table she said nothing other than asking what we wanted. The salads were generous, but simple iceberg lettuce with bottled dressing. The chicken tender appetizer was obviously from a bag in the freezer, as was the chicken that topped our flavorless, watery margherita pizza. I've never paid for a meal that was such a disappointment from start to finish. We like to support local and had high hopes based on the other reviews, but I feel the need to help others avoid the same experience we had... Perhaps this is the type of place that has great takeout pizza when you order your "usual" every weekend. read more

A couple weeks ago we ordered a pizza for pickup. After getting home and opening the pizza there was a puddle of very watery sauce in the middle of the pizza. All the cheese had shifted as well. I called to let the restaurant know as well as told them I was not coming back out for a new pizza and the woman on the phone stated they would take my name and the next time I ordered they would give us another pizza. Well tonight we tried again and ordered...my boyfriend picked it up and the bill was still $27 (we added on a side salad and zucchini). When I called to ask about the free pizza the woman was very rude and told me they only credited me $5. This is not what they told me when I called the last time about the pizza being not up to standard. She basically fought with me on the phone and said that is all they were going to do. After this treatment we will not be going back there. When you spend that kind of money you should get quality food as well as someone that speaks to you as a customer and is not rude! read more

We just moved to the area and are thrilled to have a great tasting mom & pop nearby. Bread was brought to the table, the waitress even brought us meat sauce & marinara to try. We had fried mushrooms to start, similar to dairy queen recipe. Which I love. Served with meat sauce. Fried whole. Then we got a personal size white pizza and an 8 cut thin with pepperoni and mushrooms. The white pizza was 4 cut. Easily could feed two for lunch. The crust was buttery and light. I will definitely order it again. The 8 cut thin pizza was good as well. A little greasy, but I didn't order it with the intent of counting calories. The waitress was great. She was so helpful. It's a real family atmosphere. The seating is a little close, especially if the table next to you is loud. This is our new go to place locally! read more

Got some takeout from Capri and it was OUTSTANDING! We ordered three lasagna dinners and each came with salad and bread. The side salad was very good with black olives tomatoes and purple onions. The bread was plentiful and thick and reminded me a little of pizza crust - also good. The show stopper was the lasagna - the dinner size is literally a two-portion size covered with glorious melted mozzarella cheese. All three of us left the enormous second half of the lasagna for tomorrow. Oh and a side note, arriving in the place ia a delight - it smells so delicious. The smaller size of the restaurant and its dimly lit diningroom makes it unpretentious intimate, and warm - our own little alice of Italy right in the natty heights! read more

This is THE place to get pizza. I always prefer thin cut, but Capri's dough is so exceptional that it's almost sacrilege to get anything but the thick cut. The ingredients always taste fresh, the chicken wings are good, this place tastes like they cook with love. I've loved out of state for years, and when I visit home, I make sure to always try and stop at least once. I've never had a bad meal here and I've tried more than a handful of their dishes, my favorites being Eggplant parmigiana, Zuppa di Pesce, and the gnocchi in blush sauce. This is the best kept secret north of Pittsburgh. It is 100% authentic Italian cuisine at fraction of the price. This is a family owned and operated location that serves nothing but high quality food. They speak Italian behind the counter, give portions that are so large that the 'to go' bag comes with the order and actual haven't changed the menu in 20 years. Everytime I am in Pittsburgh I make an effort to visit the Capri. The pizza is my absolute favorite. Thin or thick you will not go wrong. It's a sin to make pizza this good and for the price, it's unheard of!
