Paying for refills on soda (Diet Cokes) and Arnold Palmers may not seem like a big deal, but when you pay almost 50.00 for a family of three that is absolutely ridiculous especially when staff was eager to ask us if we wanted refills and no one said we would be charged. If you are going to charge that much you should train your staff to address it appropriately prior to asking if you want a refill and not shock people at the end with the bill. The manager and owner Andy didn't try to do ANYTHING about it. This is the third time he changed the name of his restaurant. From Capri, to Capri Xpress, now Cucina Capri. If you have a solid and honest restaurant you shouldn't have to change the name nor the location. read more

Another great meal at Capri Express. We called a bit late (1930) but Andy was able to provide a nice table for 4. Generous portions and absolutely fabulous food and wine. All of us loved the meatball appetizer, salads, and of course our entrees. Four completely different dishes to share and "taste test". I have never been to a restaurant that was BYOB, my friends I went with were. There were 3 of us, 2 of us each brought a bottle of wine, my bottle was a screw top, the other had a cork. When we sat down, I'm assuming the owner, came and took my bottle of wine from me and unscrewed it and poured me a glass, then he uncorked the other bottle. When the waitress came to take our order, we specifically asked if she could do 3 separate checks and she said no problem. When the check came the owner stated that they weren't able to do separate checks and that we would just have to divide up the check 3 ways. Upon looking at the check, we noticed 2 $15.00 charges, when we questioned it, we were told that was for opening our 2 bottles of wine ($15.00 for each bottle) we were appalled at that charge and that it was outrageous and was told they were sorry but that's what they charge, mind you my bottle of wine was a $6.00 screw top bottle, so it cost me 2 and 1/2 times the price of my bottle to open it. I will NEVER return to this restaurant ever again, talk about price gauging. Food was just okay, my dinner special was supposed to have chicken in it, and I only had 2 little chunks in my dish. The little garlic bread slices were very good. So, when we divided the check, we each owed $58.00, and that was just for an entree, no appetizers and no dessert. CRAZY!!! read more

I stopped in to purchase a gift card. Although it was early I decided to stay and order dinner too. I was warmly greeted and served a basket of garlic bread pieces and a bowl of 2 meatballs. I order wine then studied the menu. I decided to order chicken Marsala for the dining room and ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce and this version includes crumbled sausage as well to bring home for the next day. Meal came with choice of soup or salad. I chose salad. Very tasty balsamic vinaigrette. I usually am not a fan of meatballs but I found these to be very tasty! My dinner of Chicken Marsala was delicious. 3 decent sized chicken breasts over linguine pasta. Chicken was moist and sauce was light and very tasty. Dessert I ordered tiramisu. Large portion and nice and lite. Ordered cannolis to bring home. I will definitely return to try other items from the menu. I felt portions were generous and prices were as good or better than some of the other Italian restaurants I have been to in the past year. My food was fresh and hot. In today's climate a lot of restaurants are pre cooking and reheating at least that's been my experience. read more

Hidden gem for authentic Italian food. recently came back from Italy and could not believe how closely the food from here tasted like when in Rome! The owner was overly helpful with our larger dinner party and accommodating us in the smaller space. everything from the bread/oil on the table to the appetizers, salads, main dishes and desserts are put together with care and all six different dishes we had at the table had immense flavor and each was better than the next. I tend not to eat in Italian restaurants because I grew up in an Italian household with good food and restaurants usually miss the mark. I don't know why Italian American restaurants insist on smothering everything in cheese and oil. That is not how they do it in Italy. This place was no different. I thought I'd give it a try because the menu says the pasta is homemade, and they supposedly have a chef from Italy. This is one of the worst Italian restaurants I've eaten at. Don't let them tell you the pasta is handmade. It's from a box. Sauce was bad- totally bland like tomato sauce straight out of a can. I can whip up a homemade sauce 100 times better in just ten minutes. What a giant disappointment. Oh, the cannoli were the worst I've ever had. Everything was just bad. If you want real authentic delicious Italian food from a restaurant, your only hope is to go to the city. read more
