The ingredients tasted fresh but it didn't have any wow factor which you'd expect from an authentic restaurant. The other dish, petto di pollo portobello, was a lot more flavorful and rich which was somewhat redeeming. Our waitress was very nice, though.

Veal piccata is a classic Italian dish made with thin, pounded veal cutlets that are lightly dredged, pan-seared until golden, and simmered in a tangy sauce made of lemon juice, white wine, butter, and capers. It is celebrated for its bright, zesty, and savory flavors. There are NO Tomatoes, there is NO Garlic. Thanks for ruining a couples night out to dinner together. We will happily never return to your establishment after tonight's experience.

Great spot for groups since most of the menu lends itself to sharing. The Neapolitan pizza is the real draw here and it earns the reputation. We went with the pepperoni and it was very good. Well executed, properly blistered, the kind of pizza that reminds you what pizza is actually supposed to taste like. The whipped ricotta and honeycomb appetizer was a genuine standout. Creamy, sweet, deeply flavorful. Only complaint is that the bread situation did not keep pace with the amount of ricotta they give you. Send more bread, please and thank you. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. One honest note for families: the menu skews mature and there is no kids menu to speak of. A cheese pizza is about as far as the options go for little ones. My son was not exactly inspired by the choices. For a restaurant this good, a little more consideration for younger diners would go a long way and open this place up to a whole new crowd of regulars. Worth the visit, just know your audience before you go.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.

She told me all meat plates come in 1/2 pound but I could order sliders that came in 1/4. That's why I went with the brisket slider and pulled pork slider. The pulled pork slider went extremely well with the Carolina Vinegar sauce like it should. The honey BBQ and hot honey BBQ were better matches with the brisket. I loved all 3 sauces but was most impressed with the Carolina Vinegar. The meat and sauces were impressive but the sides over all were underwhelming for me. Something to note was that this might be the only BBQ joint I have ever been to with so many sides and baked beans was not one of them. The slaw was all right but adding the Carolina vinegar took it to another level. The potato salad was homemade and actually cost an extra $1 for some reason. But I didn't like it because I don't like celery. That one is on me because other than the celery, it was all right. But the side I was most disappointed with was the mac and cheese. The lady behind the counter told me they do not make it in house but buy it frozen and smoke it. They need to find another formula for it because this was not worth $5 for a side of Mac and cheese. The noodles were too doughy and could tell it was indeed frozen at one point and the cheese was more like nacho cheese than real cheese. I couldn't even finish it with how disappointed and disgusted I was with it. Despite the sides, Matt's gets the most important part of BBQ right and that's the meat. The meat and sauces were top notch and I truly appreciate them letting bring in my own sweet tea.

The house salad was great, just wish I got the dressing on the side. We had veal Marsala and salmon with crab and roasted veggies. It's like a flavor explosion. So tasty and done perfectly. Otto is hands down a great server, we have always enjoyed him and his fun stories. Everyone else was kind and attentive which is an added bonus! It's a cute restaurant tucked away in an unassuming corner of willow springs. Can't wait to head back for another enjoyable meal, a great glass of vino and wonderful staff!
