Gosh we love this place and all the specials change thru the seasons always something new to try, my favorites are always the pizza and chciken marsla, crab cake are divine, really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They have a watermelon gazpacho for the summer specials right now that is so light and refreshing to start with. It definitely a must try if you haven't done so and kids eat free on Sundays. Great family restaurant

First time in and mixed reviews.. Started with a side salad which is just fine. I mean it's a salad. I went with the Chicken Marsala which wasn't bad. Chicken was hot, good sauce and mushrooms. As a side I decided to do the Risotto which wasn't great also not bad either. We also tried "Louis Favorite" pizza which was not good. The sauce was very bland and the pizza dough was also very bland. Now the crust was thin and crispy so positive there. Will probably skip this one in the future. It was just ok.

Food was delicious. Loved the crab cakes and crab stuffed mushrooms. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service.

Cast Iron Glazed Brussels Sprouts...don't do it.

The Cast Iron Glazed Brussel Sprouts were horrible. They were so mushy I couldn't even eat them. I've had cast iron glazed brussels sprouts elsewhere and they were firm with a little char. These taste like they had been soaking in balsamic vinegar all day. If you can mash a brussel sprout flat with a plastic fork it's trash. One star is generous. The pizza was good and a 4. The crust had just the right crisp, the ingredients were fresh, and the right amount of sauce.

The experience working with Capricci's for the rehearsal dinner was amazing. They were so accommodating and helpful. Very easy to work with. Made the day super special. Staff was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers and meal. All hot and served timely. Delicious desserts. Consider your event or even just dinner at Caprriccis True Italian.

This place is lovely! We came with a large group and they were able to accommodate us with a reservation. Ambiance is relaxing and not overly fancy, but still nice feeling. Food was good all around and the staff was incredibly attentive and caring. I got the crab cakes and Brussel sprouts and I think I got the best dish in the group. That sauce on the crab cakes was golden.

Great eggplant parmigiana... ok pasta dishes... excellent service from Melanie. The atmosphere is ok... nice restaurant, but very close seating and crowded. Hard to talk... extremely noisy and a bit chaotic. Enjoyed ourselves and the staff was very nice to my mom (celebrating her 80th). Had some extra items on our bill that I didn't order, but paid it without comment (again, good service and veryyyy busy... not worth it at that point). I would go again if there were just a couple of us... wouldn't recommend for large parties unless you're more about the scene than chatting. Trust me and get the eggplant! :)

This place was wonderful and charming. I was a part of a large group and we were well taken care of and our food came quickly. Our group did have a few minor issues, but they were handled quickly. My dish was supposed to come with pasta and didn't, but it was quickly remedied. I also prefer my chicken parm a little thinner and crispier than this was prepared.

Yuck. That's the word that comes to mind. We gave them two chances over the last couple of months,…read moreand I could not have been more unimpressed. The first visit was for brunch -- except there was no brunch. It's advertised as brunch, but the menu was dinner only. Pasta at 11am? We passed and left. So, dinner it was. They market themselves as Italian-inspired cuisine. If this is Italian, my foot is an eggplant. I rarely write harsh reviews, so bear with me while I go into detail. First, the cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned. The older gentleman behind the bar -- who I believe is the owner -- should not be making cocktails. If you're going to charge $20-25 for one, do it right. Invest in a mortar and pestle, skip the premade mix, and don't use bargain whiskey. Smoking the glass doesn't hide premade bitters or cheap bourbon. Second, the bread. No real Italian restaurant would serve this. My family and I genuinely wondered if it came from Aldi or Lidl with a dusting of flour to fake an artisan look. Third, the appetizers. We should have stopped here and gone elsewhere, but we pushed on. The calamari was rubbery, soggy, and greasy. The crostini was fine -- though it's hard to mess that up. Fourth, the entrees. I ordered the ossobuco. One look at the sauce and I knew this wasn't going to be right -- ossobuco shouldn't be sweet, and this was. The meat was okay, but the sauce ruined it. My wife saw my face and started laughing -- until she tasted her own dish. A real Italian restaurant should be able to make a proper tri-color tortellini. This one couldn't. The kids weren't impressed with their pasta either. The staff, though, were good -- no complaints there. Given how cramped the space was, we were genuinely impressed by how well they maneuvered around. In closing: beyond the questionable food, there was an off-putting vibe we might not have noticed if not for the manager's belligerence toward his staff -- we could hear him yelling at them in the back. Odd, considering he spent the whole time sitting at the bar while the owner flirted with one of the waitresses which was the only thing funny about this dinner. Overall, this is one of the rare times I'll say: avoid this place. Questionable food, questionable behavior. Our waiter, at least, was great.

The food is over the moon delicious with plenty of options and reasonable serving sizes. Even with the slightly high price point, it is well worth every penny. And they take allergies SO seriously! Literally went through a bunch of ingredients to find what would and wouldn't be dairy-allergy safe. Atmosphere is fun but cozy, too. 100% recommend! In-depth: Postino has quickly become one of my favorite places in the CLT area after my 10/10 experience here. To start, the food. My word, it's amazing! Everything my friend and I tried was delicious. The bruschetta is 100% worth trying (the spinach artichoke one is my favorite), and the west coaster panini + romaine salad was tasty at every bite. Their wine is also good quality, with a decent-sized portion poured. Allergy safety is a major thing for them, too. Our server (Lee = the best waitress!) and her manager looked through their bread and ingredients for about 30 minutes to confirm what was and wasn't dairy safe (I asked how dairy allergies are handled for when I bring my husband next time). They also had quite a few gluten-free options, too. The manager explained that she wants people to be able to just come in and relax for a few hours without worrying if they'll get sick, which I truly, truly appreciate. Lee shared a similar sentiment, which was amazing. Now price... Yes, it is a *bit* pricey, but it is well worth it. Nothing felt lacking as far as flavor goes, and the allergy safety is a huge thing. This is one of the few places I felt my sandwich and salad were worth every penny, even if it was $17. Also, their rewards program is great. I got a free bruschetta board, and they offer several other perks. Make sure to sign up before or while dining there to get some good deals! In addition to their sincere care for allergy safety, the service is fantastic all around. They do group service, meaning you'll have several servers, and they encourage you to grab anyone if you have questions. This takes the pressure off of waiting for one server to walk by and really helped me relax. And the atmosphere? I could stay there all day! It's a really fun vibe, but the lighting and seating are very cozy. Overall, I've already recommended this place to 5+ people and will be returning soon

The staff was amazing and I was astounded by their dedication to their craft. The best part was the food. We started with the chefs board which had an array of cheeses and spreads. The most memorable was the whipped feta. OMG. The Ambiance was the only thing I feel could use some tuning as there's not enough sound deadening to make the music out? It sounds like a heart beat and makes it hard to make out conversations. Major shout out to Leigh for taking care of us all night and making it a memorable night. Thank you Aryanna. I had Shrimp Scampi ($19.70) on linguini pasta (you can choose your pasta) and a small salad with house dressing. All one price. It was excellent...no need to "get a box". Wife had Tortellini Alfredo ($18.95) with Italian dressing on her side salad, and she did need a box, as the portion could easily feed two people. We two had the left-overs for lunch the next day. No extra charge for the fresh baked, warm, basket of rolls or a clean, well-served, table. They do have a separate pizza business that punches out some really good pies. Can order by phone and pick up to take home, or sit, order and eat inside. Plenty of parking as Portofino's is in a shopping center.

We made a reservation because we weren't sure how crowded it would be on a Saturday night. Reservations weren't really necessary as the place was not busy. We weren't sure the dress code either, hard to gather from their website. We went business casual but we could have just done in our Saturday afternoon casual as it's not upscale but neighborhood comfortable. The decor is honestly pretty bland. Everything was just gray and there were no pops of color anywhere. The lighting was cool and the wine wall was nice but it just didn't have much character. We were greeted quickly by our server who was polite but not overly friendly. She gave us the drink specials and we got started with a few beers. A runner brought a basket of warm bread and butter which is always a nice start. We ordered the garlic bread and the zucchini fritti for appetizers. They came out quickly and presented nicely. The garlic cheese bread wasn't very garlicky, had more of a rosemary flavor so it wasn't our favorite. The zucchini was shaved and had a nice flavor. Because it was so small it was kind of hard to eat. I like my zucchini with some ranch and we asked for some and kind of got a weird reception from the kitchen staff. I mean we are in the south people - ranch is a staple! For entrees we tried a few different things. We had the white pizza, the chicken francese, the chicken crusted Romano, and the sliced beef rib cut. All the dishes came out warm and with nice presentation. The pizza was the most lackluster. It was just average and did not have much flavor. The crusted chicken Romano was a highlight with a nice flavor from the vodka sauce. The other two dishes tasted good but were nothing amazing. The mashed potatoes were the best side dish. The roasted potatoes were a bit on the burnt side and lacked any real seasoning. We had an overall pleasant experience but will not rush back to this spot. If you are in the neighborhood I'm sure it's convenient but if you want a great Italian meal this would not be my recommendation.
