I was super excited to hear about a tapas stall opening in Optimist Hall! We stopped by Marina's Tapas on opening day because we were too excited to try it! The staff were super nice and helpful when we were trying to decide on what to order. We ended up ordering the Albondigas, Tortilla Espanola, Croquetas, Patatas Bravas, and the Calamares Fritos. 5 tapas was a good amount for two! And spending $60 on tapas for two is a great price IMO. The food was delicious! The standout favorite was the Croquetas, but all the other dishes we ordered were great as well. I am looking forward to returning and trying more items!

We arrived around 7:30pm and sat inside at the bar because it was raining but they do have a nice outdoor area too. This is definitely a fancier venue, dimly lit but still cozy and inviting. Service was prompt and friendly. We started with drinks - a gin cocktail for my friend and a wine flight (Hello, Old Friend) for me. We both enjoyed, enough to get a second round (I opted for a full glass of the sparkling wine from the first flight). For tapas, we shared the meatballs, salmon, and broccolini. The first plate came out very quickly, less than 5 minutes, and was piping hot. They were delicious and there was plenty of sauce leftover for dipping bread. The broccolini and salmon were done perfectly as well. Everything was super flavorful and it was just the right amount of food for us. A little pricier, but definitely worth every dollar- this is a great place for date night or a special/celebratory occasion. @azfitfoodfun

This is one of the best restaurants in the area, and a great option to take guests, friends/family, or a date to. Recs/what we got: - Tortilla 4.5/5: a staple, yummy. - Patatas bravas 5/5: my favorite! - Croquetas 4.5/5: my friends' favorite. - Hummus 4/5: the hummus was so tasty! They offered more chips to go with the extra dip for $1. - Spinach & chickpea 3.5/5: cool concept but was just ok - don't think I'd get again. - Paella (chicken, pork belly, etc.) 4.5/5: order these early because they take some time to come out! Very flavorful and delicious. - 3 half glass wine sampler: this was super special because they customize to what your preferences are and surprise you. Servers/managers were friendly, vibe was nice for a night out. Keep in mind it can get pretty loud when it's busy. I'll definitely be back to try more!

The space has this homey, rustic charm that's approachable without trying too hard, the kind of spot where you settle in quickly. The menu is plentiful without being overwhelming, which I appreciate. You can tell they've curated options that feel like elevated home‑cooking rather than restaurant theatrics. My trout and octopus were genuinely good -- fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. I'd love to see the portioning just a touch more generous, especially for dishes that shine as much as these. Service was great throughout, warm and attentive in that easygoing way that fits the restaurant's personality. Overall, Kid Cashew is a solid choice for a quick, comforting meal -- something that feels a little like home‑cook style but with a polished touch. Perfect for when you want good food before heading into the night.

The chicken skewers were especially great during earlier visits -- very moist, flavorful, and something we specifically came back to order again. Unfortunately, our last visit was really disappointing. The chicken was extremely overcooked and very dry compared to prior visits. The brussel sprouts were also undercooked and mostly raw. It's also worth noting they do not take reservations for parties under six, which can make planning ahead difficult during busy times. It was frustrating because we know the food can be much better based on our previous experiences. If the kitchen were more consistent, the rating would be very different.

Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. I hope this stays on the menu! So good. I'm so glad this place is still going strong and busy on a Monday night! I love everything about Chapter 6, such a great spot.

It can be hard to find if you are coming in from the main street as it is located inside a building that has other restaurants and stores inside. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.

Nice Vibe, But the Food Missed the Mark for Me…read more My friend and I stopped by Medusa Lounge for brunch after seeing some good reviews. Overall, I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. My rating is based mainly on the food, not the service or atmosphere. The space itself is small but has a nice, laid-back vibe. I could definitely see it being a good place to meet friends for drinks or enjoy the nightlife. For brunch, my friend ordered the shrimp and grits. She said the flavor was good, but the grits were much runnier than she expected. I ordered the waffles with eggs and bacon. The presentation looked great when it came out, but unfortunately, the waffle was cold, so I had to send it back. By the time it was brought back out, the wait had taken away my appetite. I only ate a couple of bites before I was ready to leave. The bacon was okay, but overall, the meal just didn't impress me. Our server was very kind, attentive, and apologetic about the delay, and I really appreciated her professionalism throughout the experience. Would I go back? For brunch, probably not. For drinks and the atmosphere, maybe. Everyone's taste is different, so I wouldn't tell anyone not to try it. Your experience may be completely different from mine. It just wasn't the food experience I was hoping for. If you decide to visit, I'd recommend checking it out for yourself and forming your own opinion.
