My wife and I visited Dilworth Grille on a Sunday night of a Memorial Day weekend. They offer a decent menu with enough variety to make choosing a meal pretty easy. The beer selection was surprisingly mediocre, and they happened to be out of the first two beers my wife and I tried to order, which was a bit disappointing. I went with the barbecue entrée with a vinegar based sauce, which was alright overall. The sides were actually the highlight -- the mashed potatoes and broccoli were pretty good but the garlic toast was unpleasantly oversalted, enough to stand out in a negative way. My wife ordered a burger, and she absolutely loved it. In fact, she's decided it's her favorite burger in the Charlotte area so far. The atmosphere is great for sports fans. There are plenty of TVs, and we enjoyed watching a women's college softball game and a UFL game during our visit. It feels like the kind of spot where you could settle in comfortably for a big game. Service was pleasant enough, not exceptional but friendly and functional. Overall, Dilworth Grille delivers a solid experience with some standout moments. read more

My family and I ate there last night and was our first time to that location. My wife and I both ordered the pimento cheese burgers and we said afterward they may have been the worst burgers we've ever eaten. The pimento cheese may have been cheese whiz and tasted nothing like pimento and the burger itself wasn't good. On top of that the server came out 3 times after we ordered (to clarify the orders) over a span of 15 mins. Will NOT be going back despite the great outdoor seating. read more

2nd time stopping. No longer football season. Hoping it will be better. But no it wasn't. It was a semi slow St Paddy's Tuesday. We opted to sit at the bar. Sat there for 10mins. Not a single bartenders came by. She finally gave us our drinks. My friend opted for a Guinness and I just ordered a Coke. It took them another 20 mins for them to come back to take our food order. If we have cash, I would've just leave it and leave out. So we stay and ordered food. My 200 burger was mediocre. And my partner food was ok. Come to about $60. As much as he wants to like the place because it's convenient and has great tvs for games. It's not worth it. The ambience is hit or miss. Food is mediocre and both times customer service is more than lacking. And with the prices including tips. It's just not worth it for us to come back to deal with it just because it's convenient. read more

Consistently good! My long time buddy from EAL days was in town from RDU to see the Rams @ Panthers. He wanted to see the Carolina @ NCSU football game and get something to eat so this was our first choice. We got there about 730p on Sat evening and it was busy but not crowded. We were quickly seated in a roomy booth and greeted by Brittany who was just great, very friendly, professional with a great sense of humor. Loren had the waffle burger which he liked and so big he got a go box. I had the grilled salmon tacos with tater tots. Just excellent flavor with fresh avocado, chili lime sauce, lettuce & tomato all on flour tortilla. This was our first time trying Dilworth Grille at Baxter, which was a much better experience than our past couple times at the original Dilworth Grille with such bad service. We got there for an early lunch as we needed patio seating since we had our dog with us, which is dog friendly! It was a good thing we did get there early as the outdoor seating filled up very quickly due to it being a nice day. What we got: *Veggie pimento wrap: I'm not sure why I thought it would be grilled since it didn't notate that it was, but I still expected it since it sounds better than essentially just a vegetable salad in a wrap with a tiny bit of pimento cheese. It was a fine wrap for a warm day, and a a healthy alternative, but a tad boring flavor wise. *Greek chicken pita: This had a lot of chicken and full of flavor! The only issue was that there was so much liquid coming out all over the place, making it a very messy pita. *We both got homemade chips with our meals and they were as good as we remembered. They definitely know how to make some good chips! Service was friendly and fast. I look forward to coming back to trying something else from the menu! read more

Food was okay. Staff lingered frequently very closely to our table while having multiple personal conversations. We were in a corner which the restaurant somehow has significantly more than four of.... and multiple times they stopped mere feet from our table to watch the golf match above us. What is up with places in Baxter bringing main course while you still have half your app being worked on?? Anyway, the man at the door was great and that's about it for the service. My server was inattentive and blew me off when I mentioned getting my main while still working on my side. Twice the runner came with my drink and then my food but went to each other table around me, decided they couldn't find me (after ignoring that I was even there) only to bring the food and drink back to bar/kitchen then return with it to my table. The food, however, was really good! The Korean Ribs were waaaay better than expected and the Hoagie Melt thing was actually really well made and flavorful, if a little cold after sitting on the table while I finished my app. Overall the food didn't outweigh the sub-par service so this place is a pass and I will not be back unless I am looking for a purely sports bar atmosphere. The wings were dry and overcooked. For $18 for 10 wings they need to do better. I get that it's a bar food type of place but this is the second time I've got the wings here and I won't do it again. They have a great vibe in a good location but they food is just not good at all! I've tried multiple things (wings, tacos, black bean burger and a salad) and everything is mediocre at best. I've been to this location two times. There won't be a third. The first time I went (in March 2026) I had the beef tips, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The beef tips were "sour" tasting and the mashed potatoes were room temp and dry in spots. I guess that's why the waitress asked me if I wanted gravy on the mashed potatoes; I declined. It's a shame that the broccoli was the best tasting thing on my plate. Oh, and we had the Korean fried ribs for an app; what wasn't fat, was dried out meat. We went for a second visit for our son's 23rd Bday in April. The queso cheese pretzel dip was DELICIOUS. I ordered the Suite 200 burger, cooked medium/rare. It came out warm and brown all the way through. It had an odd consistency that led me to think that I was eating a 'beyond/vegan' burger. I wasn't going to make the rest of my party wait for a recooked beef burger. But I sure would rather have had a real beef burger. And, oh, can we have our drinks served in a real glass, and not an oversized souvenir plastic cup?!?! I included a photo of the plastic cup compared to a 16 ounce glass. My wife brought the plastic cup home to help her bathe our dog. On a positive note, the service was great both times. read more

I want to like this place. I really do. They are just making it hard to do so. I don't do many reviews. I use Yelp! To find good places and avoid less good places. I'm doing this one in the hopes it helps improve things. I've tried it out about a half a dozen times in the last few months. The food is ok. Not fantastic, not horrible. Plain comfort food, which is fine by me. I'm not stopping in looking for a couple Michelin stars. There are something like 20 televisions and music played at a level that allows conversation. It's a place with a mellow sports bar vibe. Which is great. Where the wheels really come off is the service. While the wait staff is invariably friendly and polite, they are also colossally inefficient. Across the board. Walk in, the hostess may be there, but is usually MIA. The wait for her hoped-for-return can run into the 15 minute territory. Rarely, someone else will notice you slowly losing patience while dying of dehydration and seat you. Profuse apologies accompany, but the clock still ran on you. Once seated by wait staff, expect to be promptly forgotten. I've waited near 25 minutes in this Whirlpool of the Ignored. It can be beyond frustrating. Once ordered, the food generally arrives quickly and hot, which is nice. But pay your tab when it lands, as you will likely not see your server at your table again for 30-45 minutes. No joke. I've timed it. You may see her 15 feet away, engaged in a very friendly and animated conversation with other staff or patrons, but that's as tantalizingly close as they will get. It really comes across as a lack of staff supervision. The "not my job" disease is rampant and those who should be instilling a sense of customer focus seem asleep at the switch. My mom and I had lunch with friends here and although our server was fine, our food was not. My Caesar salad with chicken was not crisp and the chicken pieces were small for the price. Mom didn't taste any pimento in her veggie sandwich and the bread wrap was tough. Ever been toa place and want to love just because of the hype? This place was that for us. The wait was an hour but we figured it had to be worth it. We ordered the wings for an app and they've good along with the pretzel with cheese which was just mediocre. I don't usually write reviews, but I was disappointed with the service during our visit. With a one-year-old, we don't get out to eat often, so this experience was frustrating. I ordered a glass of wine that never came. I reminded our server when our food arrived, but still didn't receive it. My husband also wanted a drink, but no one checked back in on us after the food was served. It felt like we were being overlooked entirely. When I finally flagged her down after we had finished eating, I asked for the check and requested the wine be removed, which it was--but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation, which was the most disappointing part. It looked like something an elementary student would throw together as an after school snack. We went to this location on 3/14/26. This was our first time. We were excited to try it as our daughter went to another location and liked it. I ordered blackened chicken tacos. The chicken was lightly grilled with no blackened seasoning. They were pale and tasteless. But, worse yet was the Spiedies my husband got. I should say the one spiedie. I am from Binghamton NY and very familiar with Spiedies. Your menu references Binghamton, the home of Spiedies. I know how to make them. There was very little chicken and the flavoring was bland as if slightly dipped in Italian dressing. The waitress said they weren't typical spiedies. As more if an insult, a slab if processed american cheese was put on it. Spiefies marinate for 24 hours in a special marinade. Seved on soft fresh Italian bread, folded. His looked like a hot dog bun. I was horrified that Binghamton was even mentioned. Please change that. Lastly, it would be nice if the servers smiled, not just before it is time to get a tip. My husband and I had dinner at the relatively new Dilworth Grille at Baxter. We've eaten there 3 times already since it's opening. Unfortunately, we had a less than stellar experience this time. I ordered the Baxter burger and asked to switch the cheese from pimento cheese to American. Our server was happy to make the adjustment. When my burger arrived, I had to really look to see if there was any cheese on it at all and indeed there was a small square of American. I didn't really taste it, but it was officially there. My husband ordered the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch flatbread and subbed pizza dough. His meal was probably a little better than mine. Throughout our meal, our server was attentive and friendly. The issues began when we got the check. At first, I just tapped the card reader, gave our server a tip and settled up. Afterwards, I examined the bill a little closer only to find that I had been charged $1.25 to switch the type of cheese on my burger. I felt like this surely was a mistake so I took the check up to the manager/host desk. I made sure that the manager understood that I wasn't adding cheese. I just wanted to swap it with American. She went to her computer for a bit and then came back to say that the check was correct. She explained that the owner had done careful calculations on each food item and American cheese is more expensive than Pimento cheese (which I find a little hard to believe) and the $1.25 was the difference. Of course, I found this a bit ridiculous and made sure my feelings were understood. So first, we were allowed to make the substitution with no comment from our server as to an upcharge. Then, when I spoke with the manager, all she would say is that they will do better about telling their servers to let diners know of the charge, which she could only do herself after several minutes on her computer. I feel like this is poor customer service and certainly a rip off. During our meal, my husband asked for a little more ranch. Our server promptly brought out a little cup of ranch for him. We noticed that he was also charged $.75 for this. This kind of thing is more common. Still pretty steep, but at least more common than my issue. At the beginning of our meal, we commented on how many good appetizers the restaurant has on the menu and we would plan to come and just do a meal of apps. Unfortunately, after this experience, I don't feel like we'll be back. There are too many good new and tried and true lunch spots in the area for us to have to deal with these kinds of silly charges. This was our third time at Dilworth Grille, and it just keeps getting better. My daughters and I absolutely love the food, and we've already decided this will be our Friday lunch spot. They're big fans of the kids' pizza and quesadilla, while I can't get enough of the Carolina burger--it's always spot on. Growing up in the Binghamton NY area, I was thrilled to see and excited to try their Spiedie, which you can't find anywhere except from that NY area, was on the menu. It was delicious and spot on.
