I saw a commercial saying 25% more meat! I had stopped ordering from capriottis due to the lack of meat, so I was happy to reorder again, big mistake. My husband got to the store at 715, they close at 8 and the door was locked and he was told to go away they are closed. He proceeded to tell them the order was placed and paid for and he would like the Capastromi I ordered with the extra dressing on the side,they grabbed the bag and shoved it out the door without the extra dressing. He complained and they huffed and went and got the dressing. I had added a dollar tip, won't do that again. Opened it up when he got home and hardly any meat at all. I've been supporting Caps for years. But the chicken cheesesteak I ordered today was absolutely terrible. I typically order Italian from the other Bear location or Middletown. But I was closer to the Eden square location today and ordered there. As soon as I walked in to pick up my food I could just tell it wasn't going to be right. It didn't look as clean or in order as in the past. First of all they put my cold and hot food together. They didn't bother labeling anything. My cheesesteak was chewy all the way through and then I came across a hard piece that was super overcooked, literally black.The sandwich barely had meat , lack of flavor and it looked like something that was just thrown together. I did call and talk to the mgr he said I could come back and they would replace it. But I don't think I'd ever go back to that one again. Save your time, save your money. We stopped at this hoagie shop because my sister recommended their sandwiches. We had driven from our home in North Carolina on our way to Maine and were anticipating this stop with great pleasure. My GF ordered the "Bobby" and really enjoyed it. I ordered a cheese steak and an Italian to travel. The cheese steak roll had been over baked (the roll was a very dark brown, not the normal color of an Amoroso roll) and I end up throwing out the other half as I couldn't eat it. That night at the hotel when I went to eat my Italian it was evident that they had forgotten the cheese as well as other condiments that were requested. Sheesh!! Goodness gracious, this was the Sammie spot all my coworkers were talking about! They have this turkey sub that tastes like Thanksgiving dinner in your mouth. Hate to say this but, wagyu cheesesteak is the worst cheesesteak I've ever eaten, Cheesesteak should never be wagyu, and the roll is horrible. Gummy roll and wagyu beef is just a bad combo. This steak couldn't hold a candle to John roast pork, you have to try the best in order to beat the best. Kill that roll, and that wagyu beef. read more

It's apparent that the great Delaware Iconic Cappriottis is gone. I've been a customer for no less than 40 years yet now I'm going to move on to another sandwich shop, perhaps even Wawa. The last couple of years the sandwiches have gotten more expensive at the same time the content has become less. The best on the planet Turkey sub has all but evaporated, the Bobbie has become stuffing and cranberry (a different one) with a little bit of Turkey. Here's the kicker. We ordered a tray for 11-13 people. When I picked it up the total was $77. I questioned the cost and the boy behind the counter said that it was 4 large subs cut into 24 pieces. Upon opening the box we found 4" pieces of loosley made sandwiches. Lots of bread, not at all what I expected for $77. I'm done with Cappriottis. The dynasty has apparently forgotten what it was that earned them 40 year dedicated customers. Unseated by a gas station sandwich shop and their own lack of focus on what made them great. read more

What happened to Capriotti's? This place is terrible. Routinely takes an hour to get sandwiches I order. Complaint made directly to Capriotti's was totally ignored. Will not return after my last experience. They gave me the wrong sandwiches. Found out after I got home. Called them and was told "Yeah, your sandwiches are here, you can come back and get them. Make sure you bring the other sandwiches back". Seriously? Not even an apology. The problem is the management at that location. I will only go to Sunset Station location now and last time there the manager from this location was covering. The sandwiches took an hour. Obviously Capriotti's corporate is OK with terrible service at their locations. read more

I've been here before, many many years ago as a kid. I remember the subs being really good. This time, as an adult, it's sad that it really wasn't. My frame of reference is Roman Pantry in my hometown, which is just amazing! We ordered 2 large subs. Considering the mediums looked to be like less than half of the large, it's like it left you no option. We asked for a cheesesteak and a turkey sub with bacon. It was kind of busy, but the wait wasn't too long. Price wise, it seems a bit high than what I'm used to paying, like quite a bit. I'm used to getting 2 large subs, chips, drinks and candy for like less than $30, this was over $30 and I only got the subs and a couple drinks. We got our subs and went on. When it came time to eat, when I unwrapped, it was a let down. The cheesesteak was like barely full, I'm used to a lot of meat and cheese, the roll seemed half full at best. The steak was a little dry, not certain what cut of meat it really was either, off tasting a bit, not a lot of cheese either, no real flavor to it. Cut to the turkey sub with bacon...we got oil and mayo on it, lettuce and tomato...it was all there but the bacon, which frankly is key!! The turkey wasn't the deli style turkey, it was shredded turkey, like from a thanksgiving turkey and it was dry, smh. Yet again, NO flavor. It was one big blah, couldn't taste the turkey, barely the oil or mayo, tasted the lettuce more than anything. The Capriotti's chain is awesome, the sandwiches are made well. The capastrami, their custom hot pastrami sandwich is tasty. The sandwiches are well made and high quality. As far as Capriotti's go this one is in a fairly large strip mall so there is a lot of parking. The shop itself is medium sized with only take out. There are some benches to sit while waiting for your order but be prepared to take your food and head out somewhere else to eat. read more

On December 31, 2016 ~ This is the 2nd time out of the last 2 times we ordered 2 cheese steaks and the order was wrong....again. Our "check # 30048" clearly states no seasonings, extra provolone. I guess when the grill cook saw "no amer" they decided NO cheese at all and put seasoning on BOTH sandwiches. So not only did we get seasoning we requested NONE of - we paid for extra cheese but didn't get ANY.......we will no longer order cheese steaks from your restaurants (both this time and last time was at Eden Square, Bear, DE). The ticket was right, the actual end product was not. Why order what you want when asked how you want it if you get what the want to give you? Sent a message to their corporate office, as of January 4, 2017 ~ no response from them as to whether contact was made to the local restaurant.....wow. Had the worst experience there. We usually love Capriotis, but we got a cheesesteak here and it was horrible!!! It easy freezing cold when we got it and the meat was so hard, I think it had to have been sitting on the grill all day! We took it back and asked for our money back. The manager was so ride and cocky. He said no because a piece of it was missing. We told him it was because we threw it out! It was so bad. He said no way I will give you money back. The service and quality at this location as well as other Delaware locations has really gone to the pits. We ordered cheese steaks(2) this afternoon. One was a cheese steak with just ketchup and the other was with mushrooms and pickles. One sandwich was right. The mushroom cheese steak was wrong. There were no pickles, a third of the sandwich had mushrooms and it had ketchup. This is not was ordered. The receipt in the bag indicated a mushroom cheese steak with fried onions, so if this was someone else's order; it was still not right. This was the last time ordering from Capriotti's. It is so sad how this once beloved Delaware icon has gone downhill. Also, the sandwiches are much smaller now. Shame on the franchise for letting this happen. The are lucky to get a star. read more

Vegetarian subs are REALLY good fresh veggies and bread fresh and toasty, this branch is doing if well!

I love this place because I have allergies and they never complain about cleaning the area and showing the customer that they do have concerns about your welfare. They clean knife change gloves and what ever it takes to satisfy their customer. I also love their hogies it's very good, quality turkey meat yummy. I never gotton sick from this sandwich shop.
