Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure

Different cheesesteak #1101 in the last five years. The Creole seasoning has me wanting to go back to St Georges Country Store with more people and try every cajun dish. St Georges, DE, the center of the DE cajun food and blues music scene. Full house on a Tuesday night. I got the Creole Cheesesteak. As a cheesesteak I liked, $11 for a bar cheesesteak, came with chips, the creole seasoning, great vibe and I could dollar cost average down with $6 drafts. You can look at the pictures and see what it needs.

Doesn't even resemble crawlfish etffouee!

The food was TRASH! I ordered two things off of the menu, and both of them should not have been horrible, but they were. The crawlfish etffouee and the New Orleans style BBQ shrimp were my choices. I wouldn't feed that crap to my dog! From reading all of the other reviews of how great the food was made me think that.....maybe I ordered food in the wrong place/area of my town. Maybe some people are still color blind in the year of 2022?! This is NOTHING compared to Cajun/New Orleans cuisine. They got my money now, but will never get it again!

Service was good and the food was great. This place is definitely a Diamond in the rough. Take a walk next store for ice cream after dinner.

My new favorite spot!!!! This is my 4th time and each time I've had a great time! The food is awesome. The live music is the best! When you walk in you get a feeling of a hangout in New Orleans. This place certainly gives the feeling of authentic New Orleans from the food, to the music. They have a wide selection of artists. Some you pay and others free. They post a calendar online and seem to keep it updated. Not sure at the writing of this review if they update menu often, I will everyone posted. As pictured, I recently had the Gator Sausage Sandwich and the Turkey Sandwich. Both were delicious. I have had the BLT and a few other selections previously. I met the owner in my first visit a year ago. She is awesome. She was warm and friendly. She really made me feel at home. In my recent visit, I met and had great conversations with both bartenders. They both were warm and friendly as well. I will definitely return and will bring friends!

Good angel hair pasta and meatballs, great deli sandwiches. Great place for live music in a small venue. People and staff are always nice.

A small eatery, but they pack the place when the bands play, great deli sandwiches, very nice staff and owner.

Enjoyed the Jambalya and the musical nights offered. Nice area near the water and the days that outdoor entertainment is offered.

We love the venue for live music. Food is scratch cooked and good. Also fairly priced which is hard to find these days.

My wife and I loved this little place. It's homey and rustic, just like you might expect. Really good food, really nice staff.

Border always delivers the goods. The food is always good. My family has tried most of their meals…read moreand they're always tasty. I usually get the blacken salmon with black beans and Jose rice. Try it for yourself you won't be disappointed

If I could give them zero stars, I would. The food is absolutely horrible. I used to go to…read moreBorder Cafe all the time, as I loved the way they did their fajitas. Well, everything has changed. I ordered the chicken fajitas with no peppers, only to be told that they coudn't accomodate that request. Apparently they don't cut their own onions & peppers anymore, it comes in as a mix. I'm sorry, but if someone orders no peppers, accomodate them. The fajitas came out not sizzling and stuck to the cast iron skillet. Chicken was lukewarm so it was sitting in the kitchen for a bit. The tortillas used to be in a basket wrapped in a napkin to keep them warm & soft. Not anymore. They came on the skillet with the lukewarm chicken & they were hard around the edges. More evidence of food just sitting around. I loved the chicken fajitas there, that place was what made me even like fajitas. Unfortunately, they have lost me as a customer. They've even changed the way the do the tortilla chips. I don't think they're homemade anymore. They taste like they were dumped out of a bag into a basket. I'm sure these decisions were made to save money. Well, in an attempt to save money, you have sacrificed the quality of the food. Horrible!!!!!
