We tried to eat here last night (Saturday, July 9, 2022) before attending a concert (Clint Black) next door at the E Center. Understandably, there was a long line, since it was a busy concert Saturday night, and a manager came out to tell everyone waiting in line that it was taking at least 35 minutes for orders to be made due to how busy it was. But here is the big problem - it was a busy Saturday night, there was a big concert next door at 7:00pm, yet this Capriotti's location CLOSED AT 6:00PM! This makes absolutely no sense. read more

I'm so glad to have found this place early on my trip to Laughlin. There is not much in Laughlin, so this sandwich shop is a blessing when you did not want overpriced mediocre to bad food. This shop usually has one person in charge of the register and the other in charge of most of the sandwich making. The first time I went, this older gentleman literally took 40 minutes to order for what I'm assuming a large group as he kept the order list on a tablet and reading off it slowly, while asking questions or just making conversation in between? After standing behind him for 15 minutes, I got annoyed and started downloading their app, placing my order (there was a new signup discount as well), and getting my order before he even finished order. I ate half my sandwich when he finally finished and paid. I returned the next day and placed an order as I was riding the water taxi. Terrible customer service. The old woman with the glasses ignores people that are on the line waiting to order. She acts like she is busy but she's not. The 5 stars are because it waaay exceeded my expectations and was delicious. I had taken a look at the menu and found I could do 2 of half a sandwich, soup (cup) or salad for $9.95. You know how sometimes we spend too much time checking menus on our phones and then they are out of what you want? Well, they were out of tomato soup. Lol. No biggie, I'm flexible. I ordered a souper (see what I did there?) Philly Cheese Steak and a Blue Cheese Steak Salad with WAGYU beef!! The salad was entree size, with WAGYU BEEF! For $9.95!! AND, it was FABULOUS!!!! Covid has nothing to do with the fact that this sandwich shop hires horrible employees and they choose to not have products that are wanted by their customers. I feel bad for the few people they have working here, the ladies were very friendly but they seemed overwhelmed which is probably why the food quality was so poor. The sandwiches get a 5 but this location and their hours get a 1. They say it closes at 7pm but I have been there at 6:50pm and they were closed. So I came the next day at 6:05pm and guess what... they were closed and cleaning up. I guess I will try 5pm the next time. read more

My absolute favorite sandwich...and I just found out that there is a location not too far from me!!! I don't know what to say...pastrami, cole slaw (which I am not usually a fan of), Russian dressing (I assume), cheese, and scrumptious bread...just the BEST. The employee was super happy when I told him that I have the Capastrami every time I'm in Laughlin. He gave me some info on the California locations which I didn't even know existed! If you are a sandwhich connoisseur this is a must try. This Capriotti's is in the back of the Edgewater Hotel- so you will need to trapse through the dingy casino to get to them. The treck is worth it. I appreciate the diversity of the menu. As all of my posts reflect, I am always on a qwest for that next great vegetarian sandwhich. Pretty upset I walk from my hotel to get a sandwich I was craving all day and checked closing time only to find them closed an hour before stated. I had actually got there 50 minutes before closing 910pm on a Saturday and they had this sign up and quite rude when I asked if they were closed. The Edgewater and Colorado Belle properties did some housecleaning in 2013. At the Edgewater was a trio of fast food places: McDonalds, Sbarro, and Nathan's Famous. The McDonalds was always busy. Sbarro was, in my opinion, an exercise in desperation, and Nathan's while hit or miss, would satisfy your hunger. All 3 were closed and the replacement was Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. On our last visit in March, we attempted to try this new place at 10 pm on a Thursday evening - but they were closing. The hotel casino's only late night option was Coco's downstairs and that was simply not a fast food option. Sigh... Thursday we tried again. 3 of the 4 sandwiches I wanted to try all had Russian dressing and I was leery. The Italian consisted of genoa salami, capricola and prosciuttini without Russian dressing so that was our choice. Since there were the two of us we had a choice of 9 inch, a 12 inch or a 20 inch, the best "bang for the buck" is the 20 inch and split it. As it turned out, that 20-inch sandwich can satisfy the hunger of 4 people for a quick snack to hold a crew over until a dinner extravaganza. We ordered the 20 inch and their computerized menu allowed our gracious and helpful order taker, Joey, to specify "quarters" and they then wrap up two halves of 10-inches halved again in the two wrappers. They included a bag without us asking that came in handy later. Perfect! We ordered one drink and it was $18. We sat down and each had a quarter sandwich and I packed the remaining quarters up to our room for a midnight snack. We got a free sample of the Russian dressing (spicy and flavorful) so that answered that question for future sandwich orders and a sample of the cole slaw that they offer on some sandwiches as an integral ingredient. They took our name and they really work at building a great sandwich. They offer it hot or cold. While we don't' understand why they dumped McDonalds (that the young kids appreciate) this new fast food restaurant is a refreshing new addition to the hotel/casino and we highly recommend them. read more

Love going to Capriotti's because they have vegetarian "turkey" meat and their sandwiches never disappoint. The small sandwich is a 9" and I am able to eat half and save the rest for a second meal. The Bobby is hands down their best sandwich--soft fresh white roll topped with sweet cranberry sauce, warm stuffing and I have it with the veggie turkey. It's like having Thanksgiving dinner whenever you want! My only gripe about my experience was that I visited this location on a Saturday night (mid-summer) so it was extremely busy. They only had one cashier and she was new so when I placed my order, she initially refused to substitute the turkey meat for the veggie turkey meat in The Bobby because the protein didn't "look" the same (the real turkey is shredded vs. the veggie turkey is sliced). After telling her several times that it wasn't the look of the sandwich that I was concerned about, it was that I didn't eat turkey, she finally asked a manager what to do, who then showed her how to input the protein substitution. Service is really good and staff are very accommodating with special requests. The veggie cheesesteak and the veggie turkey slices werent available so I got the Impossible Burger in the veggie cheesesteak instead. I do not recommend this as it is in small pieces a little bit bigger than ground beef. It kind of had the texture of a sloppy joe. It wasn't like I could bite into a piece of the veggie meat and have the texture like I'm biting into cheesesteak. The Impossible Burger is really oily also. I can tell why it's called impossible cheesesteak. It's because it's impossible to believe that this could be cheesesteak. I will call and make sure that they have the veggie cheesesteak meat before I go next time as they didn't receive their shipment this week. So me and the hubs went here today 11/12/14 no line so no wait we got a foot long (12 inch) pastrami sandwich I was greattttt I'm not huge on meat especially pastrami I've never been fond of it but my hubby convinced me after having a bite of their pastrami last time he had it and I was wow best pastrami I've had and today also it's very good everything is so fresh!!! We hit this place up twice in 2 days... yes , it's that good ! I had the 12 inch bobby which is turkey ,cranberry sauce, stuffing & mayo .. the bobby tastes exactly like you would expect- it is the celebration of leftovers known as the day after thanksgiving.. I can see why it's one of their most popular sandwiches. Next up i tried the 9 inch Cheesesteak with onions & sweet peppers. For me , this sandwich was the best ! Both visits my husband had the turkey sandwich. The cold turkey sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, salt, pepper, mustard & oregano. Do yourself a favor & Order a size smaller than you think you can handle , because these sandwiches are huge! Next time I would like to try the soup of the day .
