In the middle of the journey I felt vile, which my former love requested for assistance of a brown paper bag in return he got two asprins, a glass of Ginger Ale and four pieces of saltine crackers (all FREE)... now that is called excellent customer service. Amazingly there are still kind people in this world. I love Nabisco Saltine Crackers as it reminsce my sick days in my youth absent from school! Despite my motion sickness mishap, my former love and I were able to achieve our Pultizer Prize photo of a humpback whale's tale rising up in the Atlantic Ocean 50 miles off Provincetown, MA!

There was no expectation to even see any whales, because I know there are never guarantees with nature.. But it was a very special trip with our children and our neighbor from California who recently lost his spouse. I called after 10 AM when I saw there was a 1 PM opening for a private charter, Chad immediately called me back and even though it took me quite a while to rally the troops, he held this spot for us. He definitely went over and above. Then Captain Jesse I told him I'd write a Cell was the icing on the cake by his kindness, knowledge, excitement, and so much more. Oh, and by the way, we saw at least a dozen different whales. There was tail slapping breaching spy, hopping.... And since we were in a small boat, we were able to zip around to see everything. It is well worth the money to do this. Big boats are fine, but this was something that will be embedded in our hearts forever.

She was incredibly knowledgeable, full of energy, and genuinely passionate about whales and nature. You could tell this is more than just a job for her. She even had a whale tattoo on her leg, which made her love for these incredible animals even more authentic. We learned so much from her, and it was refreshing to have a guide so excited to share her knowledge. She kept pointing out the whales as they surfaced, and her timing was perfect, just when you thought the action had moved on, she would spot another humpback breaching or lifting its tail before diving back down. If you can, try to get on one of Sophie's tours. I've been on whale watching tours before, but I have never seen anything like this. Our four kids were beyond excited as we saw what felt like 40 to 60 humpback whales. The boat ride itself was fantastic, with the salty spray in the air and everyone crowding the rails every time a whale came up close. It was one of the most incredible wildlife experiences we have ever had. At first, I thought the tour was a little pricey, but as my son said, "Dad, this was worth every dollar. You should have paid more." He was right. We happily tipped Sophie and the crew on our way out because they absolutely earned it. If you are visiting Provincetown, do not miss this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would recommend it to anyone.

We ended up watching a beautiful sunset on the beach, enjoying the beverages we brought along. Personally, I'd recommend doing the Suburbans over the Broncos. We were originally disappointed when we realized we had reserved the former, but having done the trip, I'm not seeing the value of paying so much more for basically the same tour. Nico was quite accomodating about arrangements and answering questions. Our trip included fishing for bait, blue fish and an attempt at Striped Bass. He answered questions from teenagers and drove the boat fast and we even got a look at a large contingent of seals and a glimpse at some whales. We did make one large catch of a striped Bass and several of the blue fish which gave us enough for several meals (6 of the 7 of us went fishing). All the teenagers said they would be interested in doing this again with Nico in the future!

We went out there, saw a couple of whales, but to this moment I still wonder what type of whales did I see, where were we or what those whales were doing? This was a definite low point of my vacation on Cape Cod and wish it never happened.

We were greeted by a lovely lady who took our names and allowed us on board. Once on, we found perfect seating in the front of the boat and were informed that beverages were being served below. How fortunate that they had a really nice selection of wine, spirits and cocktails at a very affordable price. As for the trip itself- it could not have been more perfect! The boat ride was comfortable and our tour announcer, I did not get his name, was so informative and told us a great history of the area! He was so good that when we got back to our friends' home that evening we even watched The Final Hours co-written by Cory Sherman a friend of our guide. What a great way to end a beautiful day!
