It's timer. Very nice quiet cozy. The salmon salad was great. Sweet tea was actually sweet. Will return for sure.

I came in an hour before closing and they greeted me with a smile. My order did not take long and everything was hot and fresh. My waitress was super attentive and told me not to rush because I had plenty of time to sit and enjoy. My eyes were obviously bigger than my belly when I ordered because I only ate my scallops, some of the backed potato and a few popcorn shrimp. I even stayed a while longer after packing up my food to chat with the staff. This was my mom's favorite restaurant so it brings back good memories!

Not recommend. 75% of the staff was grumpy. However, my server Tina was very kind and I enjoyed her company. I arrived at 7:40p (google maps said they close at 9p) but they actually close at 8:30p. There was tension in the air from the moment I walked in. Multiple staff members (including an elderly woman who appeared to be the owner or manager) walked around grumbling about how they wanted to go home and to hurry up and get the remaining tables (customers) cleared. The clam chowder was very thin, bland and boiling hot; which ironically made it longer for me to eat . Their prices were a plus and they had a few beers on tap, but beware they close the bar early, about 30 min before posted close time. The establishment was clean and well lit though.

While I understand, seating has to be limited but I HATE being seated at a booth. I let that be known. Yet, still seated at a booth. Staff really needs to listen rather than doing whatever they want. The prices have escalated. You can no longer double up on the selections in create your own platter. Many of the meals have increased by $10+. After waiting 30 minutes to be seated at a booth that I didn't want and another 20 minutes for a waiter to come to then be told that I can't choose what I want on a platter. Eat here at your own risk. I no longer recommend them.

Love the food. Quick, friendly service. Prices are good for the amount of food you get.

The place is warehouse size HUGE, so i doubt they ever completely pack out. The low country seafood boils are amazing, and very generously portioned. My daughter opted for king crab legs and they were perfect. The seasoning and sauce was lick your plate clean kinda yummy! Me & spouse had the fried catfish, which was amazing. Perfectly fried and seasoned. Clam chowder was new england style. Delicious, but not hot. Just warm. We were so hungry we didnt send back. Got a local IPA on tap. It was warm & stale. Our server was so kind & honest about it. She shared that several people returned their tap beers that day because they were warm, and admitted she didn't know enough about beer to help me so the bartender would come over. Wow! That's outstanding customer service! Apparently the IPAs in bottles were EXPIRED as per the very nice bartender. So I got a Sam Adams instead. Whatever, you're here for the seafood and it is excellent. Just disappointed with a huge bar, you would expect the beer to be ok. Our server, i wish i could remember her name because she was so nice and smiley. Definitely would return here if in area again. This was a pit stop on a roadtrip vacation.

Low key damage control. I had the Famous Fish & Shrimp with a Caesar salad, yams, cornbread, and sweet tea. ‍ My mouth was watering! Everything was seasoned well, fresh, and definitely worth the wait. And of course, I had to drizzle a little syrup on that cornbread ... don't judge me! Yes, I would definitely return! Croaker's Spot did not disappoint. Overall: 9/10 #RossyionsVirginiaFoodTour #CroakersSpot #VirginiaEats #Foodie #GoodEats #OutsideTheUniform #LovingInVirginia #GoodFoodGoodVibes

Turns out I was exactly where I needed to be. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and they were phenomenal. The cornbread was incredible. I ordered the chicken and waffles. While I would've preferred a breast or thigh over the two wings that came with it, the waffle itself was one of the best I've ever had. It had crunchy, caramelized bits of sugar throughout that reminded me of cracking into crème brûlée. Easily an 11/10 waffle. My daughter loved the mac and cheese. The best part, though, was the people. Everyone was kind, the waitress was wonderful, and my daughter made a new friend before we even got our food. If you're driving through Petersburg, don't overthink it like I almost did. Stop. Order the shrimp and grits. And definitely don't skip the waffle.

Here is the combined, high-energy review that shows your deep love for the spot: **Rating: (5/5)** ### The Milk & Honey Phenomenon: My Official Hampton Favorite I came in with the mission to try everything on the menu, but I'm going to be honest--I'm already hopelessly stuck on my favorites! This place has officially become my #1 spot in Hampton. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is, the consistency, the 10-star decor, and the "royal" atmosphere always deliver. ** The Vibe & The Art** The atmosphere is like a high-end nightclub lounge meets a classy art gallery. Surrounded by phenomenal **Artbae** portraits of legends like **Prince, Duke Ellington, and Sammy Davis Jr.**, you just find your "lucky table" and soak it all in. It's the best seat in the city, period. ** Top-Shelf Service & The "Rewards Fumble"** The service is unmatched. **Taj** behind the bar is a master of the craft, staying in perfect stride with a buzzing Friday crowd while keeping things personable. **Pro Tip:** Don't be like me--**get your rewards points!** I have missed my "coins" the last couple of times I came because the second that food hits the table, it is so succulent and ready to be devoured that points are the *last* thing on my mind. Put your phone number in the system before you pull that door to leave! ** The Sweet Potato Revelation: Butter Glazed Biscuits** The **Butter Glazed Biscuits** are a life-altering event. Cinnamon-infused biscuits with a **sweet potato crumble and sweet potato butter**, plus that phenomenal cinnamon jam... it's a decadent masterpiece. It feels like a high-end cake met a breakfast pancake. ** The Battle of the Cajun Pasta** The **Cajun Pasta with Shrimp and Crab** is a heavyweight battle. * **The Succulent Giants:** Huge, juicy shrimp and a portion of crab meat so generous it's a struggle to finish. * **The Heat:** That perfect, "oily" spicy kick that keeps you twirling your fork even when your mouth is on fire. ** The Verdict: Phenomenal Value** You get 10-star quality and legendary vibes at a **phenomenal and reasonable price**. Whether you're finishing your plate or taking home a trophy bag of **Honey Bay Wings**, you're leaving happy. **Milk & Honey is the crown jewel of Hampton. Worth the trip, worth the wait, and absolutely worth the burn. 10/10.** *Love the art?
