We decided to celebrate my daughter's birthday at Sedona Taphouse last Friday. We actually came here for her birthday a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it so we were excited to return. Since we were informed that we couldn't make reservations on the same day, we did have about a 45 minute wait when we got there but we didn't mind. We were sent a link to track how far we were in line, which I thought was very helpful. Once we were seated, our server came over right away with waters. She was extremely nice and gave us time to look over the menu. The Potato Leak Soup was on their March Specials Menu so we decided to order that with a Bread Basket to start. The bread was delicious, very soft and warm, it was served with a whipped, honey butter and herbed oil. Unfortunately, the soup was cold when we received it. I'm not sure if it had been sitting a while but we did have them returned. Oddly enough, they were returned in a larger bowl, not the same size cup, but with the same amount of soup lol. It definitely was weird but it was indeed piping hot and the soup was delicious. The Crab Stuffed Mushrooms were great as well. I decided on the Crab Stuffed Shrimp, my daughter chose the Chicken Marsala and my sister went with the Hand Cut NY Strip. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp, the flavors were great and the NY Strip was cooked perfectly. My daughter wasn't a fan of her Chicken Marsala but they did switch it out for some Salmon. Overall, my daughter had a great birthday dinner yet again. Our server was new but we couldn't tell because she did a great job at making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious! I will always recommend Sedona Taphouse for anyone looking for a great meal and dining experience. read more

Sedona Taphouse was delicious! My filet was incredibly juicy and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was attentive and offered great suggestions, which we appreciated. It was pretty warm inside and felt like there wasn't much airflow, and the tables were a little rickety. That said, the overall vibe was nice, not too loud and great for groups. A friend and I went here after work for dinner. We arrived around 6pm and there was absolutely no parking, but the restaurant wasn't too crowded inside. We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and ordered some yummy drinks. Once seated, we decided to order the Goat Cheese & Tomato Jam Bruschetta. The flavor was really good, but the bread was pretty soggy (I'm used to bruschetta being crispy). I ordered the Roman Parmesan Crusted Chicken, which came with garlic whipped potatoes and delicious roasted brussel sprouts. The chicken was good, but the overall portion size was on the small size (it didn't help that it was served on a large plate). Overall, it's a decent place to grab dinner and the staff was pretty friendly. read more

Food was amazing. We got seated and it took about 20 minutes for someone to come over and greet us. It was a Monday night and it was not crowded so I was a little disturbed by that however when the waitress did come over, she kindly took our order. We had the Buffalo cauliflower with ranch dressing however when it came out, it had blue cheese crumbles all over it so I had to send it back as I had already explained to them. I did not want blue cheese. I want ranch. The prickly pear margarita was great. And the regular margarita was good as well. Great idea We ordered the hangover burger which he enjoyed but he ordered medium rare and it arrived well done I had the chicken which was really good, crispy and the brussel sprouts were delicious. Deeply disappointed with the fact that they advertised an event that would benefit the Colonial Heights Food Pantry and could not deliver. They told us one of the dishes ( the flat iron steak) was frozen!!! This place is nothing less than chaos!! And it's way too loud. Won't be back. read more

Extremely disappointed in my latest visit to Sedona taphouse. First, we ordered the guacamole. For the premium price they charge, I was expecting something remotely resembling a finished dish. Instead, we got a single avocado, barely mashed, plopped onto a plate. That's it. One lonely avocado for the price of an actual meal. Then came the highlight of the evening: the chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps. They were DIY lettuce wraps. You get this small dish of chopped up chicken and shrimp. And if you enjoy a little extra grit with your dinner, you're in luck, because the lettuce came generously sprinkled with dirt. Clearly no one in the kitchen thought to wash it. I'll add the photos When I pointed this out, I expected at least the bare minimum - a manager coming over, an apology, something. Instead, I was met with complete silence. We were visiting the area and decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. Our appetizer arrived before we were given silverware, so we had to ask for it, we had to ask for straws and we also had to request drink refills several times instead of them being offered (my husband had water). We even had to wait just to pay our bill. The food itself was just okay. The bread and wings were good. We both got the land & sea that was ok. The service was terrible and the food was ok. Decent food although in the pricey side and I do not like eating seafood with mashed potatoes. Bleh! Offer rice...pasta, quinoa but mashed potatoes do not go with seafood IMHO. I also found it rather loud inside and I was just to chill put after a ling day. I had salmon. It was good though hardly exceptional. The server was friendly and pretty knowledgeable about the beer offerings. The beer was actually pretty good. Ordered the cowboy butter NY Steak (medium rare) and some Thai Shrimp. Very tasty!!! Steak and Shrimp was beey tasty. Highly recommend sitting in the outside bar where they have TVs to watch sports and a great atmosphere. Great service from the waitress and a Military Discount of 15% off. There is a Sedonas near me but was happy to find the other one as I traversed a foreign land.... Ate at the bar and had a good experience. The burger was good, cooked like I requested (medium) fries were good and I ordered a beer which was good. The bartender was friendly but appeared to be overwhelmed w serving both those inside and the parties at the outside bar. Made it difficult to ask questions about the area or other menu options. Don't think this is bartender issue maybe a staffing issue. Not a bad experience and would recommend anyone to visit. It was an average experience. read more

Arrived and was seated immediately next to the kitchen. Got drinks water and a soda fairly quickly. Soda was flat and it took a good 15 minutes before the waitress returned. She apologized took the drink and came back 5 minutes later and said all the sodas flat and we don't know how to fix it. Offered water instead. Later came back and offered to bring the premium craft soda ....no thanks . Meal was ok steak and mashed potatoes and limited veggies it came with ,so it was a lonely plate for the cost. Veggie burger and sweet potatoe fries were good but again for the cost not worth it. Wanted the chocolate cake to celebrate birthday but alas just like to soda it was not available....so value was meh. Service was lacking including the loud argument by several staff we got front row seats for.....so overall for the cost and bad service I would not return. read more

Food is fantastic and so is the wait staff."However, on 12-13-25, the waiter was uninterested in serving us from start to finish. It took 7-8 minutes to even be recognized and another 10 minutes to get a glass of water and a tea. Then, of course, the order was wrong, and the server had an attitude about sending it back. It was less than subpar. We did speak with the manager and she was apologetic and was nice enough to give us a gift card. I should have know better. I am always disappointed with Cesar salads at mainstream restaurants. I was intrigued because the menu said house made, but it wasn't very good. It was very thin and quite yellow in color. The taste was kind of sweet. Did not remind me of a savory Caesar dressing. I added chicken and the chicken was a bit dry. The patio is spacious and allows dogs, which was great because we had our dog with us. There is a fire pit and space heaters. They also give a 15% military discount which we appreciated. The food was average. The butter and herbs were very good, however the rolls were not properly warm and were rubbery due to microwaving them. The asparagus were not grilled, but stringy. I was seated promptly upon arrival, which I appreciated. However, after waiting 20 minutes without being greeted, I had to seek out a server myself. While the server who eventually assisted me was polite, my order was incorrect--I requested two 7oz filets but was served ribeyes instead, and I was charged for them. Additionally, there was an unexpected meal tax added to the bill. Overall, the service delays, incorrect order, and billing issues made for a disappointing experience. Great place for dinner! We had a very attentive server and our food was great. I had the pumpkin ale to drink and it was smooth and flavorful. The bread basket wasn't complementary, which I always find kinda disappointing since it's an easy starter. It was delicious however and the honey butter was amazing. The olive oil mixture was also great. Next we tried the wings - these were awesome!! I enjoyed the smoky flavor and crispy texture of them. I think they could've given a few more wings for the price, but again - delicious. For my entree, I tried the French quarter pasta dish. It comes with shrimp, mushrooms, andouille sausage, and spicy Alfredo sauce. After the bread and wings, I could barely eat much of it but it certainly was flavorful and very yummy. The spice level was a perfect balance with the creamy sauce. Would definitely get again. And we loved the Halloween decorations and festive staff. This place is horribly bad with service. I went down here with my girlfriend's family recently and they order plated meals. I'm talkin about some main protein item alongside two sides on a plate. Fancier-ish dishes. I got the only burger. Tell me why.. I can tell they made my burger immediately. Sat under the heat lamp for 20+ minutes at MINIMUM. I can tell because i was once in the service industry for 5+ years so i know dead food when i see it. On top of that i ordered my burger to be cooked medium and it was torched. WAY ABOVE well done. Fries were lifeless like that one scene in the spongebob movie where spongebob and patrick are sat under a lamp in the gift shop. Orders took 40+ minutes- upwards of 50 minutes to come out. Everyone at my table that didnt have a drink to compensate for the flavor of the food- had said it was bland. HONESTLY FOLKS... just take the extra drive to Yard House. The Manager Nigel came and spoke with me about the issue stated below and apologized. It's good to know that a situation can always be corrected. Thank you Nigel for caring about your customers. We will be returning in the near future. Always great food but extremely disappointed with the customer service for when we called to make reservations and told that there is no wait and reservations was not needed.
