Everything great. I have a lot of pizza in my life, NY style, Chicago style and all things in between. We arrived hungry and needed a quick meal, so we chose pizza. Seriously good pie. This pic is mentally 5 minutes after I arrived back with it. It went quick, should have got two! Crispy crust but still NY style, folded and ate. Sauce was delicious, very flavorful but not overwhelming. Right amount of cheese and legit pepperoni. Seriously- well done Captiva Island Pizza!

We got some takeout pizza one night while staying on South seas. The pizza was pretty tasty and ready right on time. It's a good option for some pizza on a night when you don't want to go out for a more expensive dinner. There was a gentleman working there that made it a very uncomfortable experience I must report. So I said hey can I have some Parmesan cheese and some red pepper seeds to which he responded no we don't have any and he said your pizzas over there and there's the door and looked at me like he was going to kill me...... Fearing for my life (seriously) I left but I was definitely a bit taken aback. Also the guy in front of me spilled a drink and he basically threw a mop at the customer and told him he better not miss a drop I really don't want to take this out on the restaurant because it most likely doesn't represent the owners philosophy so I'm gonna keep the rating high and chalk it up to he's having a bad week.

    Outside door.

I've never left a negative review on yelp. I try to use this app as an opportunity to brag on good experiences I've had. However- Today after making around 12 phone calls to this place, we decided to walk in and order. We were immediately asked by the man with a ponytail behind the counter to leave the building and "wait 5 minutes" before we could come back in. Confused I asked him if we could give our order and he replied "no, I asked you to go outside and you're still standing here staring at me". The man was belligerent, short, and threatened me. I legitimately thought he was going to fight me in the restaurant.... And frankly I was angry enough to oblige. I'm not the only one who's encountered this- I attached a snapshot of another review. We walked outside and waited 5 minutes (partially out of spite). He then opened the door and lied about being out of pizza dough- denying us service. I can say though..... the pizza looked/smelled good while I was being threatened.

Good solid pizza. Quick to-go order, picked it up hot. A bit over-priced but it is Captiva.

The Jaws pizza was good. Decent thin to medium crust, fresh toppings, and I'm such a sucker for ricotta on pizza!

They gave us the wrong pizza and didn't realize until we got home but it was delicious anyway.

Well, the pizza at AJ Moonspin was worth our drive up from Tallahassee! It was so over the top that we drove up again a few weeks later to bring family to try it as well. If you're a fan of sourdough, you will fall in love with the crust at AJ Moonspin. The tart bite of sourdough flavor permeates every bite of their crispy crust. I usually only eat the middles of my pizza slices, and leave the crust on my plate. This time... I ate every last bite. My husband went for classic pizza flavors with the Hunter's Moon , I indulged in lighter fare ordering the Harvest Moon. We should have brought a spare tummy with us because after we devoured the cheese bread, we were ready to roll out to our car. Regardless of the pizza you select, you will be "over the moon". Both of pizzas arrived quickly and well-made. Despite being very busy, the service was outstanding as there was always someone attentive to our needs. We brought our leftovers home with us and enjoyed them again the next day where they were just as good as the dining experience. You always know your food is well prepared when you can reheat it at home and still enjoy it as much as you did during a dine in experience. Helpful hint... Use your air fryer to reheat your pizza slices and the crust will stay crispy. If only the restaurant was closer to home, it would become our new takeout spot. Definitely put AJ Moonspin on your list of pizza joints to try. Your experience will be out of this world!

I simply asked if you could use Alfredo sauce instead of ricotta on a pizza you already make. After a bunch of back-and-forth, she finally said she'd "see if it was possible," while telling me it wasn't "authentic Italian pizza." I've been eating and making Alfredo pizzas for over 45 years, all over this country. I even made them for thousands of customers at three different locations down south. This isn't some weird request. You already have the Alfredo on your menu -- I just asked for it on a pizza instead of ricotta. Meanwhile, in Italy -- especially Northern Italy -- they have white pizzas with cream and cheese all the time. They just don't call it Alfredo. They call it things like: - Pizza Bianca - Pizza alla Panna - Pizza con Besciamella - Pizza al Burro e Parmigiano That's literally butter, cream, and parmesan on pizza -- which is Alfredo in everything but the American name. The original Alfredo even comes from Rome, from Ristorante Alfredo alla Scrofa, and nearby Roman pizzerias make Pizza Bianca al Burro e Parmigiano, which is the same thing. So if a customer wants to give you $50 for two large pizzas and asks you to swap ricotta for Alfredo -- something you already sell -- that should be an easy "sure," not a bunch of sighing and "I don't know, that's not authentic" like I'm asking for ketchup on a steak. I even said I'd pay extra so I wouldn't have to stop at the store to buy cream, butter, and Parmigiano just to make a white pizza at home. And honestly, with all the hate, tension, and things getting worse in this country, it's exhausting that I can't even call a local pizza place and feed my family without it turning into drama. People are already dealing with enough -- food should be one of the few simple comforts left. We're in Perry, Florida, not a Michelin-star restaurant in Rome. I'm not pretending to be a master chef -- but neither is the person making the pizzas. As a business, I would think you'd want to make sales instead of running customers off over something this simple. Customer service used to mean trying to make people happy. Whatever this was... wasn't it.
