We LOVE the chicken buffalo dip, the salsas and the creamy Tuscan chicken. Now, fair warning, this isn't the cheapest option around. In fact, it can be very easy to get carried away and drop $100 without too much effort. But you're generally paying for items that you'd have to drive a couple of towns over to get --- assuming those places offered the same items or something similar. This market, in combination with the liquor store in the same complex, can help you pull together a fun night in pretty short order. One of my favorite places.

Unfortunately that's where it ends. Service is a 1-star. There seemed to be a language disconnect with the server. An overall near-zero experience. Our server was attentive to other tables seated after us who received their desserts before our entrees. Not one table check-in before, during or after the meal. Had to actually get up out of the seat to make sure the drink order was understood and it was right because the server did not seem to understand. Maybe that put the server off. We also flagged down other servers for assistance during the meal and even for ordering dessert. It took a long time to take payment for our bill. We almost got up to pay at the bar. Thus the crap shoot gamble at La Sponda. Atmosphere a 2.5 star. Loud atmosphere with a heavy metal music rotation. Good music, just not for this dinner atmosphere. Easily one of the best meals we have had in a long time! We were visiting Havre de Grace for our wedding anniversary and use the restaurant's toast app to make the reservation. It asked if this was a special occasion, and I entered "anniversary" when I made the reservation. Upon arrival we found that they had held the best seat in the house for us: a great table overlooking the water plus an unexpected congratulations note for our anniversary signed by the staff and a beautiful handmade Maryland tree ornament. We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey.
