I spent over $70 here to try 2 of their lobster rolls and some side items. The rolls themselves were on the smaller side and just ok in terms of flavor, if not somewhat bland. I've had lobster rolls from dozens of places and I consider these pretty forgettable honestly. I'd also avoid the lobster bisque as you can't even taste any chunks of lobster. What I think is supposed to be the lobster is so pulverized that it just taste like a plain bisque. I really don't enjoy ragging on restaurants, but for what I spent I just don't feel I got my moneys worth. The portion and taste were lacking and it'd be hard for me to give them a second chance based on that alone. read more

My friend and I just had lunch at their place in Paoli, PA, where we ordered the lobster roll at $19.75, plus opted for the 50% more lobster for $5.50, bring the cost up to $25.25 before tax. What arrived was a 5" long hot dog roll with a decent amount of relatively good lobster salad. Our immediate reaction was "For $25, where's the other half of the sandwich?" After eating $25 of food, we were both still hungry and I ordered a serving of Clam Chowder for $8.50, expecting a bowl sized portion, but what I got was a cup sized portion that was very bland. Add in a bottle of soda and tax, and lunch cost $39 before a tip. After reading all the glowing reviews, we were completely underwhelmed and very disappointed in the experience, and don't expect to return again or recommend it to friends. I've been a loyal customer for years and always love your food. However, when I ordered a lobster roll a couple of days ago, I noticed the portion size was about a third smaller than usual. Has there been a change to the recipe or sizing? They look like miniature lobster rolls. read more

Nice fun little brightly lit establishment. Very friendly service right off the bat lobster roll is everything you could imagine it is buttery so sweet huge portions. This is my first time here I got the recommendation from traveling passports a couple of blog about Food in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. These guys have partnered with stake Brothers and are also pumping out cheese steaks. Haven't tried the cheesesteak yet, but my mother says her chicken cheesesteak is fantastic. I love lobster rolls. Decided to give Quincy's a try. I had both the Classic Lobster Roll and the Connecticut Roll. Both rolls were very good. They rolls were overflowing with large chunks of lobster. Each roll was drenched in butter which seeped through to my to-go bag. Watch out where you put your to-go bag because of the buter. Nice place, nice cheesesteak. Inside seating and a bathroom, two things I like. They put napkins and ketchup in my bag, nice touch. I got a cheesesteak with cooper sharp. Sarcone's roll. The bread was airy not like dense Sarcone's roll I've gotten in the past. The roll had great flavor. Lots of very well melted cooper sharp. The meat, when I tasted it, had a nice flavor. The meat to bread ratio is out of whack. The roll has a nice flavor but I want to taste more meat. I think the big pieces of fried onion are a distraction. read more

We had the sliders one day- while things tasted good, I didn't get a good meat to bread ratio and it's pretty pricy especially for the fries. Good news is a 4pack will be more than filling for the day! Service was beyond expectations and I'd definitely be willing to try again if convenient. There's a few places to sit inside and out but it's mainly a grab and go type spot. read more

I loved Quincy's at their other locations. So this had to be on my radar. Tried the surf and turf combo so I could get a taste of the Grumpy Guys slider side too. First off, since I lived in Boston for many years and visited Maine often, I am a bit of a lobster roll snob. I do consider this a quality roll. I mean I can't expect the freshest stuff to make it down here but what they serve is definitely tasty enough. I polished it off happily. The fries were a surprise. Huge with a unique crisp, they are an unexpected star. The slider... I'm calling it decent not great. Nothing wrong with it in particular, but the flavors combined with the onions didn't quite come together for me. Plus it was automatically well done. I don't know if I could have requested it differently. I didn't think of it at the time. But I did polish it off too so my complaint is minor. Your palate may disagree. There's no question that I'm coming back for the lobster roll. I won't say no to the sliders but I won't crave them either. Next time I'm just going with the jumbo lobster roll and loving life. read more

Ok, I HAD to update my review, and remove one star from the five that I initially gave it. Why? Because I found a nearby clear winner in local lobster rolls that deserves a full star higher! (See my review of Cousins Lobster Roll Food truck that is an intermittent guest at the east side drive around Exton Mall. Sorry, Quincy's, but Cousins exactly duplicated the previous iteration of Quincy's with 100% claw meat ( you now add some non-claw) and a fatter, more generous portion of lobster ( I estimate an easy 25%+ more). Of course Quincy's is available 7 days a week ( remember the recent weekly delivery date of fresh lobster there is Tuesdays), and Cousins must be followed on Facebook to learn when they pop up in Exton. read more

The Connecticut lobster roll was small and flavorless. The French fries were good though.

I've been a long time customer and fan of Quincy's, going back to their original location in Berwyn. My personal favorites are the Connecticut roll, lobster bisque and the Old Bay fries. Best of all, the service is very good, and done with a smile. In terms of lobster rolls, this is great value for your money. Also, in terms of value for money, if you upgrade to a jumbo roll you're looking at $23, versus a smaller and lower quality roll at Panera for $25. read more

The food was magnificent and the lobster was so fresh and buttery. The roll was buttery and crispy on the outside. The Connecticut roll was very warm and delicious. Worth going out of your way to visit would definitely recommend. read more

So this is technically two restaurants in one--Quincy's Lobster Rolls, which used to have a location in Wayne, and Grumpy Guys, which does burger/sliders. All the same company and you can mix-and-match items from each menu. This place JUST opened and there are some obvious (but typical) growing pains. The good: the lobster rolls. Man, they're good. I got the Connecticut roll, my partner got the regular roll--first one's warm, second one's cold. Meat was great, roll was good. My partner had a piece of shell in her's, but the menu clearly states that's a possibility and that is a risk with Lobster Rolls. Still wasn't great, but the roll was good enough that it didn't take away from the experience. I liked the fries, she didn't. Staff was still learning the ropes (again, JUST opened), but did a great job all around, I'll share more about that at the end. The not-so-good: the price for the quantity. Any lobster roll veteran knows they're expensive, but I have to point that out. Still, we agreed next time we'll get the rolls jumbo sized. Other negative, the shell in my partner's roll, obviously. Finally, the menu board and website said "coming soon" for the sliders, but people were ordering them, so we were confused about that. Like I said staff tried hard and overall did good but one kid delivered stuff to wrong table, and the woman taking orders didn't seem to know the menu all that well. That all may not sound great but honestly the location was clean, the employees nice, and the food quality very good, shell notwithstanding (look, MINE was awesome, and the bit of her's I had was too). This place is going to be great with time, just know what to expect as it is opening. Here's my story: as good as the place was, the other customers were OBNOXIOUS. Quincy's clearly brought New England with their lobster rolls. The staff dealt with them all well, hence the positive remarks about them. One complained about whether the mac n cheese was homemade, another made custom orders. The worst of all: an incredibly abrasive guy who was so delusionally entitled, I truly believe he thought that Quincy's, the staff, and everyone else in there existed solely to make his life better. Dude takes the turn around the building like a numbskull, staring at us as if us standing by our car on our way in was inconveniencing him and almost runs over my foot as we were walking in. It was a decent crowd and the line was at the door and as soon as he walks up he abrasively announces "HEY EVERYONE, please shift the line inside so the door can close and we keep the cool air inside." Dude, YOU were the one holding the door open! You could have just gone inside and stood to the side yourself, which oh, is what happened with every normal person who came in after you. This guy felt the need to interrupt people's meals and talk to them about the food, clearly not taking the hint to leave an old couple alone, talk-shouting the whole time (no inside voice on this guy). When he gets to the register, he feels the need to talk through the whole menu, then asks if they have a rewards program, then really abrasively argues with the girl about how he should earn rewards NOW--even though they are for future visits--and tries to argue with her about it to such an extent someone from the back came up to deal with it. The girl handled it like a champ, though. After this idiot tried to game the Quincy's Lobster Rolls rewards system unsuccessfully, he complains about not having room to wait, hovers around everyone impatiently, and awkwardly tries to chat up the girl he clearly felt guilty about harassing, asking her name and being really confused by it, so he asked how to spell it. When the dude finally gets his order (to go), he announces he's leaving and jokes how everyone is probably glad to see him go. Yeah, we were. Did I write this review and create this business profile just so I could complain about this guy? Okay, yes. But I'm not taking away a star for that, obviously not the place's fault. Again, they're just opening and clearly are off to a good start. But I share these experiences to show what to possibly expect at this early point in what is hopefully Quincy's long life at this location. Also? I hope that last guy sees this and makes a conscious effort to change his behavior. You were AWFUL, dude. Not awful: Quincy's Lobster Rolls! We'll come back. read more

I can't speak to the lobster rolls, because we stayed with the grumpy's side of the menu, but it wasn't great. The fried pickles were terrible. We order these everywhere, and these were about as bad as they get. They are from the freezer, and were mushy, soft and mostly breading. There was shriveled up pickle spears in there somewhere. The fries were not very good either, and the menu was a little misleading regarding them as well. The menu says they are "boardwalk cut". They were absolutely not boardwalk fries. They were frozen food service fries with a slight coating on them. Everyone knows what boardwalk fries are around here, and you should not be advertising that when that's not what you are offering. Lastly, the sliders. They were actually pretty good, but way over priced. Two little sliders that equal to roughly half of a normal restaurant cheeseburger were 10 bucks. That's essentially half a cheeseburger for $10. Also, the rolls are too big for the amount of meat you get, creating a lopsided meat to bread ratio. Then add five bucks to add the fries and a "fountain soda" that is not actually from the fountain made it $16 total. So basically 16 bucks for half a cheeseburger with fries and a soda. Service was friendly and prompt enough, but I don't plan to return. read more
