Delicious, quick, and friendly. Not only do they make incredible sandwiches they also have the feel of a deli that takes their craft seriously. Place is clean and provides lots of options to shop for all your imported cooking good. The workers were friendly and efficient. 10/10 will be going back.

"Old School"

Cute little market with a mix of artsy local and imported goods. I stopped by during my lunch break and enjoyed sitting outside on the spacious patio. I ordered the "Old School" sandwich--it was okay, but a bit dry. I wish I had gotten it as a panini, but I didn't realize that was an option until I saw it mentioned in other reviews.

I've been to other Caputo's in SLC but this is the only one that has an exculsive daily specials sandwich menu. When I saw this menu, I knew I had to try the Heroic Italian. It has all the best Italian meats, cheese and a giardiniera. The service was great there. Everyone is very helpful. It's a small little italian market that also sells sandwiches. There are a few tables in the back and there are even more tables outside in the patio. We got a table in the patio. I waited a while for my sandwich but this place was really busy on a Friday for lunch, so it was expected. The Heroic Italian is a pretty expensive sandwich at $21.99 but it can literally feed 2-3 people. The meats were sliced thin and very soft and all the flavors worked together. The yellow mustard and truffle mayo gave it such a great flavor too. One of the biggest sandwiches I've ever eaten. Get lots of napkins because this one can get messy. If you are looking for a big Italian sandwich, made by real Italians, with all the meats this is it. I'm super excited to try all the other daily specials so I definitely will be back.

Muffaletta

Food: We had the Ole' School, and the Muffuletta. They were just OK. The portions were generous. My hub felt the Muff did not have the proper meat to olive ration, with the olives being to much. I liked it more than he did. The Ole School was missing something...the problem with takeaway is that you are not really compelled to go back to ask for whatever you think might bump it up to your expectations. My husband liked the Ole School better. Ambiance: There was both a small inside dining area & ample outdoor seating. It looked clean, fresh & modern, with a Euro vibe. Customer Service: Efficient We really liked the offerings in their market section. Lot's of hard to find European tinned, & jarred tapas. We loved the dolomites, boquerones, pepper & breads to go. These came in handy while continuing our camping journey. We would return & try another sandwich.

I can't say enough good things about caputos! This market has the coolest things from around the world. It's great for gifts or for something new to try in the kitchen. The food they make there is also filling, fresh, and a reasonable price. I particularly love their salads. We will be back again and again!

Such a great spot! I had the old school which was delicious and I added a side of pasta salad which blew my mind because it was so delicious. The pesto in the pasta salad really made it. The store is pretty cool too and has all sorts of specialty items like gourmet chocolates and olive oils. The staff were delightful and welcoming.

Great new covering makes the front porch the perfect fall lunch spot

I got the muffuletta. The quality of ingredients is good, but a big miss on the bread. Spongy and soft crust. That's not ciabatta.

I love this place. They have the best hot pastrami sandwich in Utah. And they're not bootlickers!

Do you offer a gluten free bread option?

Hi Andrea! Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, even after searching and searching for gluten free options that meet our high standards, we still have not found anything. However, we are happy to make any sandwich into a salad! Additionally, we…

They do full-service sit-down and to-go orders and have a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches, bagels, dessert, other New York/Jewish style deli foods, and beer! Sloppy Joe - 5/5 - A large (1/2 lb) double decker sandwich with pastrami and corned beef. There are 3 layers of bread. The meats are tender and flavorful and blend nicely together with the thousand island dressing and slaw between the layers. It also comes with a side, I picked the potato salad which was good too. Not too much mayo but it was still nice and creamy. I just wish I got a little more potato salad to match the portion size of the sandwich! Potato Latke Pancakes - 4.5/5 - They were nice, hot, and crispy. You get 2 pancakes which have a nice thickness to them too. The flavor was good, I just think you should get more sour cream and apple sauce. It comes with a small cup of each, but its not quite enough for the 2 pancakes and its 50c each to get extra! Matzo Ball Soup - 3/5 - The matzo ball and soup broth both had a good flavor. The proportions were just off however, a huge matzo ball but not enough broth. And the broth didn't have enough of chicken meat and veggies (carrot/celery). I basically had 1/2 the matzo ball left over at the end Attempted Murder Imperial Stout Beer - 5/5 - Its a vanilla cinnamon stout. The flavor is subtle but in a good way! Its not sweet, but has a smooth bitterness and mouthfeel with a slight fragrance of the vanilla cinnamon. If you like stout, def give this a try. Its a strong one too, 10.5% ABV! The restaurant was clean, service was good, and there is a good amount of seating and its decorated nicely inside. Def give this place a try!

Head to the back deli upon walking in and you will be asked for your order at the counter. I recommend your first order be a half sandwich - don't be macho like me and think you can handle a whole because you'll be wrestling with it all afternoon and possibly skip dinner. While you wait for the sando, browse the Asian themed market for a unique find, such as a flavor of Lays you've never tried (or seen!) or even a hot sauce from the many they carry. If it's your first visit, just know lunch works a little differently, you walk up to the counter and order from the deli case. We had no idea what we were doing at first, but the woman helping us at the counter was super patient and walked us through everything and gave recommendations. So Nice! I went with the mozzarella-filled risotto ball with marinara and a mozzarella tomato salad. Yes, it was a very mozzarella-heavy lunch choice and I stand by it. Also grabbed a fro-sè and kept it simple with a San Pellegrino. My other half definitely won the "better lunch" competition with egg salad sandwich, roasted brussels sprouts, and the pasta salad combo was ridiculously good. Parking was easier than expected too. There's a side parking lot we totally missed at first, plus a lot of nearby street parking. Definitely one of those places I'd go back to on another sunny day just to sit outside, snack, and slowly sip a fro-sè.

There's also a cute little bakery/cafe inside that I definitely want to try next time. Such a great spot to relax, have drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere. Already looking forward to going back for the full experience.
