Super busy deli - would recommend! My husband got the roasted red and said it was really flavorful and refreshing. I got the all American turkey and added prosciutto. The only thing I would sub next time is the house mustard - it was super spicy and I ended up taking the lettuce it was mixed with off for the second half. read more

They have many unique drink options with a variety of chocolates, canned fish, bread and cheeses you can select from. They said my sub would be ready in 7 minutes and they were quicker than they said! Luckily perusing the market kills time. Appearance - If it's a nice day don't skip it out on sitting on the shaded patio. The food looked yummy!! Taste - I came once before and ordered The Caputo. Unfortunately, it was very bland for my liking. I'm usually a Jersey Mikes girl and like a lot of juice and this sub had no flavor. However, I do believe in giving restaurants a redemption round. I heard many positive things about the meatball sub and decided to send it. And boy am I glad I did! I loved the sauce and the mini meatballs made it even better. I can't even tell you how often I crave a deli sandwich from Caputo's. Although the downtown location is my go to, this one is located in a cute and quaint neighborhood, and it's much smaller in size. We visited on a Saturday afternoon when it was absolutely slammed inside! They still carry some really unique items that are fun to browse while you wait, and speaking of, we waiting for maybe a half hour to get our sandwiches on this busy busy day. I ordered the Old School and loved how stacked it was with meats. They go a little heavy on the lettuce, so next time I might request light lettuce, but otherwise, they were delicious and you can't go wrong with that Italian roll. read more

I've been to other Caputo's in SLC but this is the only one that has an exculsive daily specials sandwich menu. When I saw this menu, I knew I had to try the Heroic Italian. It has all the best Italian meats, cheese and a giardiniera. The service was great there. Everyone is very helpful. It's a small little italian market that also sells sandwiches. There are a few tables in the back and there are even more tables outside in the patio. We got a table in the patio. I waited a while for my sandwich but this place was really busy on a Friday for lunch, so it was expected. The Heroic Italian is a pretty expensive sandwich at $21.99 but it can literally feed 2-3 people. The meats were sliced thin and very soft and all the flavors worked together. The yellow mustard and truffle mayo gave it such a great flavor too. One of the biggest sandwiches I've ever eaten. Get lots of napkins because this one can get messy. If you are looking for a big Italian sandwich, made by real Italians, with all the meats this is it. I'm super excited to try all the other daily specials so I definitely will be back. read more

It has been a while since I have visited this location and mostly avoid it due to traffic, congestion, and having difficult time finding parking. Very hard to get in and out of as the location is a 2 Lane Rd. only one lane on each side. They do, however, have good sandwiches and prices are fair and comparable to other locations. read more

We had a year we went back to SLC every two months, for my husband's cancer treatments. He just completed a course of treatments, and what he wanted to eat afterward while recovering was Caputo's hot pastrami. That was the sandwich he had a day before his first treatment. So I drove over there, feeling a bit nostalgic. The service is great, offering is excellent, and the hot pastrami totally made my husband a happy camper. Food: We had the Ole' School, and the Muffuletta. They were just OK. The portions were generous. My hub felt the Muff did not have the proper meat to olive ration, with the olives being to much. I liked it more than he did. The Ole School was missing something...the problem with takeaway is that you are not really compelled to go back to ask for whatever you think might bump it up to your expectations. My husband liked the Ole School better. Ambiance: There was both a small inside dining area & ample outdoor seating. It looked clean, fresh & modern, with a Euro vibe. This location is close to my work and let me just say that anytime I suggest Caputo's for lunch, no one ever says no. I wanted to keep this place as "my spot" for lunch but I just had share with my coworkers because it's not fair to keep anyone from not knowing of Caputo's sandwiches. With that being said my go to is the meatball sandwich. That sandwich is a beast! It's like the size of a 9 month old baby! If you're visiting SLC, Caputo's is a must!!! It had been a while since I'd been, but I'd woken up craving their Feta Tomato sandwich. When it was t on the menu, I was heartbroken! The amazing staff, seeing my desolution, asked what I was after - and once I told them they explained I could still get it - as "the Greek" off the secret menu. Caputo's has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've been going here since I was a kid, and it's become woven into a lot of our family traditions. We get their take home lasagna every Christmas Eve, and for dinner and birthday parties we always pick up one of their charcuterie boards (they are beautiful, generous, and always a hit). And I'll always have a special place in my heart for their meatball subs... comfort food perfection. On top of all that, their selection of fine cheeses and chocolates is unreal (don't be afraid to spend a little on their artisanal chocolates, it's totally worth it). Caputo's has been around awhile. They have dialed in their Italian sandwiches. I picked up a takeout order for my family. We had the meatball, Caputo's Original Italian Sub, Muffaleta, and a Fior Di Latte on focaccia. They were all huge! Order a full if you are really hungry or a half is perfect for most mortals. The fresh mozz on the fior di latte is delicate and delicious. Goes perfect with focaccia or ciabatta. Not to be missed is a salted chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The 15th & 15th Location doesn't have much indoor dining as the market fills most of the space, but has great outdoor dining. read more

This place is small and doesn't have all the meat options that their other locations have. Only one mortadella, for example. They are nice, but very slow for ordering meats by the slice. We also noticed there were flies everywhere...a little gross. They also weren't worried about wiping the blades after using meats with nuts, the downtown location was a lot more serious about this last time we went. Didn't bother me, but hopefully it doesn't impact a person who has nut allergies. The store portion with jarred and dry goods was okay...but again very small. We won't be back here, we will just go downtown since we are driving anyway. The people within walking distance probably appreciate the food option nearby....but go to a different location if you want more variety. They have a decent sized patio too, which is probably nice if you are ordering food to eat there. read more

Customer service is always very friendly, energetic. I've only been here once so I was a little confused on how to order. So I ordered the Caputos sandwich which comes with Prosciutto, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, olive oil & balsamic. But honestly didn't seem like any balsamic was on it. The Greek salad was delicious the salami was fresh but the sandwich was very bland. The total for these 3 items was $18.00 I felt like I should have omitted the salad and gotten the other half of the sandwich. Caputo's is a great market where you can find tons of artisan ingredients that would be difficult to find in a store. The staff was extremely nice and greeted me as soon as I came through the door. I only tried their chocolate chip cookie though, which I would say is just ok. The good, their cookie is better than the bakery right next door. The bad, you have to like you chocolate chip cookies with a sprinkle of salt on top because they don't offer a version without. They also have bits of dark chocolate in their cookie, so if that's your thing, then you'd appreciate it. I would say the cookie was slightly above average but not by much. read more

I got the muffuletta. The quality of ingredients is good, but a big miss on the bread. Spongy and soft crust. That's not ciabatta.

Not gonna lie this was not the 1st choice for supper last night but Mezza was jammed so we hopped in here. I ordered their Caputo Sandwich and Mo did their Pastrami (pic not included so shame on me). My sandwich was delicious as the bread was super fresh and the giardinera on the side helped a ton! I love the outdoor and indoor eating options along with a nice selection of cheeses, crackers, sauces, pastas and various items to make cocktails. A fountain dispenser in the back is appreciated as well! There are only a few tables inside but while we were there, a lot of take out ordered were happening. Starving after a hike? Solution = meatballs and lots of them, plus bread and perfect tomato sauce "sub" style. This place is in my hood but I hadn't been in a while due to the allure of central 9th. I digress. The service was friendly and consistent and the store was well stocked. I got to try a new flavor of my favorite Spanish potato chips and they had the really good local kombucha in a can (white peach and champagne by Hans). Makings for a perfect lunch for sure.
