EVERYONE we met with was exceptional friendly and did not rush through explaining the services needed. I might also add that the appointment was made two hours before their closing time and on a Saturday at that. In a day and time where customer service is not always at the forefront of concern for businesses, Car fix seems to still value it. Highly recommend. Mr.& Mrs. Jerry Williams

Car Fix Troy - October 2025…read more VALUE - Highly Suspicious & Questionable. Hourly rate for service $200 per hour - You pay for overhead. I'm deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Car Fix Troy. I brought my vehicle in due to an ABS warning light. The salesman looked up the dealership model, found what the cost of a new replacement part was, to use that as the "Shock Price" in my case a new ABS Module was $1800. However, Car Fix of Troy offered a "deal" at over $300. That sounded promising--until another employee admitted the job should've taken no more than 1.5 hours and explained that I was being charged $200 per hour. I knew something did not seem fair. When I protested, explaining that is unusually high for labor - $200 per hour, the salesman promised me before I approved and left my care with them, he assured me they'd revisit the labor charges. He justified this with vague references to overhead and reprogramming costs, saying he had to purchase programming access from GMC. The job was supposed to take five hours (according to the salesperson) but stretched overnight due to "reprogramming issues". I wasn't contacted until well after the promised time. But, the next day, he was cold and dismissive and decided he would give me $50 off. I was actually charged $200/hour for labor totaling $400. He took $50 off the cost of the ABS Module. In my previous encounters, they had me run SNAP financing. From that time, it felt like my pricing was based more on my financial approval than the actual work. Every time I've brought a car for attention by Car Fix of Troy, I've had to return for additional repairs. I allowed them to do other work on this car that was over $4,000 initially. However, when their next quote was over $5,000, conveniently aligned with my approved financing and spotless payment history, I declined. These experiences have eroded all trust. I won't be returning.
