So, for starts let's get the pros out of the way since there are some... it's a smaller bank feel, where you will be remembered, and treated more like a person then a bank member. This has its flaws as I want professionalism presented over the phone, which the last several times have not been, I'm not trying to provide information like mothers maiden name, social security, etc over a damn phone call... Ron also does a decent job keeping the place together. The dividends offered are okay, but I can get that through almost any brokerage. Let's get to the cons and my biggest issue(which may be a good thing for others) Online banking, their security is so damn overkill if you typo your password once, you're locked out and forced to contact them directly and provide all sorts of information(that again should not be done over the phone, it's 2020. Things stick. Learn a bit more about cyber security, please.) Sorry, but I'm not trying to call and take 10-15 minutes out of my day every time this occurs. It does not reset after a time, and is heavily annoying. Almost enough to make me drop the bank all together, I simply do not have this issue with my other debit cards. Also; if you wish to have the bank take from savings if you do not have sufficient funds in checking automatically you will have to contact them and enable this function. Sort of silly. Lastly, I don't like being put on hold and consistently taken off hold to tell me the representative required to speak to will be with me shortly. Get an automated system, it's a bit annoying. So are automated systems but not as much. I'm just trying to navigate the system as simple as possible with as little interaction and effort as possible. I'm sure there are other pros as well as cons I could provide, just not at this time. As this review is getting lengthy. Maybe if things improve in the future, I will come back to this review and update it but for the time being this is my opinion. She was very competent, kind, understanding and showed she cared. Took us through everything to be sure we were well informed and understood every aspect of what was going on and gave us many options. She also gave us other ideas to help in general for things to do when someone is scammed. Covered all the bases. It was a hard process but she made it seem like it was it was no problem. When she got back she went to the bank and picked up the check to send to Toyota Financial. Then she saw her due date is in 10 days. She called NFCU and the man said he would extend the date out one month. A few days later her due date on the loan never changed and when she called back she got nothing short of absolutely total rudeness and they said you signed the contract, and if you dont like it then you can withdraw the loan and go through the application process again just to have the due date one month from today. I did my loan through PenFed. Much better service. I asked to have my first payment pushed out a week because my car was being delivered to me and they extended it an additional 4 weeks in less than a minute. The choice is clear who im doing business with from now on, Yes to PenFed, heck no to NFCU.

I have an auto loan with AAA Banking, it is on auto draft…read morefrom my checking account. I had been paying $400 extra to pay the load off early. On June 17 of this year I got statement showing I only owed $457.90. On July 14 AAA banking drafted 857.90 from my account. On July 25, I called AAA Banking, I sent them proof of the over payment. I called back on August 6th and was told everything would be sent back to me. On August 13 there was a draft from AAA on my bank account pending for $401.14, I called and AAA said that it should be rejected and put back into my account. On August 14 that $401.14 came out of my account. I called AAA again and spoke to a manager, the manager said she would look into it, that I should be the $401.10 and the overage of $00 back. Today August 15, the money is not back in my account and again I called AAA, AAA says I should only get back $377.10 from the July draft of $857.90. and they rejected the $401.14 and if its not in my account I have to dispute that with my bank.

I lost a job in that time and rather than truly work with me, they allow me to keep falling behind on my payments. I have racked up almost $500 in late fees and haven't been able to catch up. If you need to ship a payment, they want tons of paperwork and for a committee to decide your fate. Rather humiliating. When I had a previous loan with Nissan, they allowed you to take a skip a pay up to twice per year without penalty. If you do the paperwork and get "approved", you get to pay a $35 fee. As I said, I'm only a member because my loan got shopped to them. I suggest that if you have a choice, do not do it. Stay far away.
