Stay FAR Away from Car Outlet Factory - Worst Dealer Experience of My Life I purchased a vehicle from Car Outlet Factory on February 25, 2025, and it's now mid-June--I still don't have license plates or registration. My temporary tags expired on June 6, and I can't even legally drive the vehicle I'm paying for. That means I'm missing out on thousands of dollars in business each week because I run a logistics company and rely on this van to work. They didn't send me the title registration paperwork until April 29--over 60 days after the sale. Then they had the nerve to pre-fill the wrong date (the day of purchase) on the documents, and when I correctly signed with the actual date, they rejected it and told me to backdate a notarized legal document. That's shady and borderline fraudulent. Even worse, after all this, they didn't send the paperwork to 50States until May 30--more than 90 days after I bought the vehicle, which violates Florida law (you're supposed to register within 30 days). I called 50 States DMV Services, and they confirmed all of this. They've lied about timelines, made excuse after excuse, and have zero accountability. Their negligence has cost me $3,500-$5,000 a week and counting. I've filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and their surety bond provider. I did an interstate purchase from this dealership. The video they sent me did not disclose some of the damage to the inside of the vehicle and when I received it, it had trash in it so had not been cleaned very well. Additionally, when I first drove it, I noticed there was a strange feeling when it changed gears. I have since had it looked at and the transmission is well and truly on its way out. I did have a pre-purchase inspection done on it and the mechanic didn't note it either. When my local mechanic looked at it, he told me that the check engine light and code had been cleared a certain amount of days prior. This day fell right on when the vehicle was at the dealership. When I went through the selling process, the salesman was pushy and the finance guy ran my credit against my strict orders not to until the inspection was completed. The GM called apologizing and said I would deal with him directly from there on, which lasted that phone call and then I was handed off to someone else. They were also super slow sending the title and it took a full month before I could register it in my state. I have tried contacting the GM a couple of times since the purchase and for the most part, he ignores me. This dealership is the epitome of why used car salesmen have the reputation they do. I did not get a positive/welcoming vibe from the Mgr (guess that's what he was)- and the guy that helped me excused himself twice- then on the 3rd time never came back. After driving out of town on a work day to go see the car, I get there and they don't have it. It was at a completely separate location over an hour away. They then told me they'd have the car here for me in two days. I called and called trying to get in contact with anyone at the lake worth location with no luck whatsoever. When you call for service they connect you with your salesperson which Is trained well to lie, delay, and avoid you. A tried to contact other locations to speak with and anyone manager that would honor what they advertise but the calls go to a central hub so they would not transfer me. Instead they said that the Manager Geovanni was on vacation for the next 2 weeks. Amazingly the salesman Leo (which means Lion or Lying in this case) was also on vacation. I finally received a call from a different manager or so he claimed (Jose) he seemed helpful and requested I bring the vehicle back for the fifth time. So I did again just wanting the to fix the issue with a timing sensor that caused the light. when I arrived they did as trained, and told me that Jose was out sick by Leo. But low and behold with bad timing Jose walks out to speak with their next victim and noticed that I notice him. Once again I leave the vehicle and once again it was short lived. Keep in mind that I originally requested returning the vehicle after the second attempt and well within the 7 day return policy they obviously don't honor either. They promised that they would fix it. Or as Jose says "Sir we have too. It's our commitment" At this point I will be having the vehicle repaired by another mechanic. At my expense. All I can hope is that future customers read this and the other reviews that show a pattern and they spend their money at a more honest dealership. Jose and Leo thank for wasting much of my time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DECEPTIVE ADS AND PRACTICES!!! The 2020 Ford Escape was listed on their website at $17,491. When I got to the dealership, I was told that price reflected a 20% down payment. You had to click on the small print on the site which said "View Payment Disclaimer" under the price to find this. So the actual price of the car was $21,863. The dealership advertises that the car comes with a "Lifetime Warranty." You actually have to pay $899 for an Inspection Fee which activates the warranty with repairs available only at their dealership. They claim no Dealer Fees. I was also asked to pay a Reconditioning Fee of $770, a Transportation Charge of $995, a Certification Fee of $799. They wanted to charge $149 battery disposal fee (actual state fee is $1.50), $50 County Tax (there is none.), $574 for registration, title and tags which cost $174 per the Martin County Tax Collector. You also have to pay additional sales tax on all those fees. Bottom line, the $17,491 car would cost me just under $29,000.
