After a search of local installers I went over to Conejo Vacation trailer and talked to Mike. He went online, found the hitch specifically made for my car and gave me a quote. Next I checked with my local bike shop and they recommended Eckharts, a local chain so I went in to see them and was told they could only do a custom hitch which would run me $100 more than what Mike quoted. Mike's shop is a bit of a mess but don't be fooled by appearances--he knows what he's doing. He ordered the hitch, called me when it was in and promised me it would take about two hours. At two hours and 10 minutes I drove away with my new hitch and drove straight to my bike shop where I told the tech about Conejo Vacation Trailer. If you're like me you do what you can to keep the small independent businesses alive. Mike made me feel good about my choice, saved me money and it all went off without a hitch! Wait, that didn't come out right.

This month we were returning from a visit to So Cal and the passenger step into the cab of our Tiffin Wayfarer RV became so loose that it was in danger of falling off. At the recommendation of the MBZ dealer we went to Conejo RV without an appointment. Without hesitation, Kirk immediately got underneath the step and determined that the self tapping bolts (many missing) were no longer going to work. He had one of the techs immediately remove the step and refit with larger bolts. The whole repair was done within an hour. The step is now very secure. While the service we received blew me away, I was then completely taken back when he told me "no charge". My only regret is that we no longer live here as he would be my "RV guy" for sure.

Jeff, Dan and Jack have always been friendly and helpful. Their work has always been good quality at a fair price, and usually completed earlier than they originally promised. They keep you informed, and call when they say they will. Here's the latest example of their "above & beyond" customer service, that prompted me to finally write a review that I should have done a long time ago... The house batteries in our RV died when they discharged too far during storage, because the trickle-charger failed. Dan convinced the battery manufacturer to replace the batteries under warranty, even though the manufacturer could have refused since the batteries had technically been "abused". That saved me a LOT of money, and Majestic RV didn't make anything. They could have easily said that the warranty was void, and sold me new batteries. That's an indication of the reputation & relationship that Majestic RV has with their suppliers, and how much they care for their customers.

We did literally nothing but get him the keys. He transported it to his location, bought all the parts, fixed tires, sealing, etc. His communication was excellent. He took pictures of everything he did. There were no hidden fees. Everything was as expected. When we arrived to pick up our trailer, he could have just handed us the keys and driven off. Instead, he helped us hook up the trailer, gave us advice for the drive, and recommendations for things the he would upgrade/change if it were his rig in the future. He wasn't trying to make a future sale because he knew we were taking it out of area. He was simply going above and beyond. It took time out of his Saturday to help us - time we weren't paying him for. He did it because he takes pride in his business and he is a good guy. Is he pricey? We don't think so. But the most important one was to help the RV pass a smog test that had already failed. And while I had it there, I asked how much to paint the RV since they were supposedly the cheapest. The quoted me over $40k to paint it! But if I did all the work with them, they would bring down the paint job cost. I was quoted an amount for diagnostic work. Well, they charged the diagnostic fee multiplied by the number of issues I had. So the total ended being around $2000! Yes that included an oil change. And also they did connect the house batteries (one of the requests). But the rest was all diagnostic time. Unfortunately all that $$ was ONLY to diagnose, not to fix. So nothing else was fixed!! If I actually wanted to do the repairs, that was additional $$$. I paid and left. My RV still has all the problems. Beware! I will not come back to them and don't want others to get ripped off by them. Now the employees themselves are very nice and polite and friendly. Unfortunately I still was ripped off.
