I would give zero stars if I could. I want to warn everyone of an experience that I recently had with this business. I took a week to post this review as I was seeking legal counsel but everyone should be warned. I filled out a general inquiry form on their business web page last Friday evening - asking about the cost of car window tint. The business owner himself emailed me back Sunday afternoon. Three emails were exchanged before he decided to make a public post on his own facebook, blasting my personal cell phone number encouraging people to "send some fun text messages" and offering a $50 gift card to whoever sends me the "best one" (the post was made before I even emailed back stating that I would take my business elsewhere due to his unnecessary reply). This post stayed on his facebook for nearly 2 days. I received countless vulgar text messages from strangers, all because I asked this man a few questions via his business work email. I never expected a response from him as it was outside of business hours but since he was emailing me, I didn't think it did any harm to respond. I did not text him, I did not call him, I never even double emailed him. I only ever responded to the emails he was sending me. I have attached screen shots of all the emails sent by both myself and him as proof along with the post he made on his facebook, as well as the Privacy Policy that he has on his business page - stating that they will not share any personal information with any third parties. I have no idea where he got 17 emails from or what his intentions were with emailing me and asking where I was located - as he sent that email after he made his facebook post blasting my cell phone number. After the last email I sent him, I never once responded to him or any of the awful text messages I received and despite my silence, he commented on his post the following day stating that I was still spamming him - I have attached a screenshot of that comment as well. If this business owner has any proof of me saying or doing anymore than what I have provided, I gladly welcome him to provide such - but there is none. Everyone should be aware and warned that their private information is not safe with this business and by contacting this business they run the risk of this situation happening to them as well. read more

Went back today to see what was wrong with door speakers installed back in March.Turns out that my "Levels" had somehow been adjusted to a point that the speakers were not set up to handle what the head unit was set at.After making major adjustments they now sound like their supposed to.Totally my bad on this one.Not sure how or why the levels got set where they were.Thanks guys for setting me straight. read more

Great, honest service! These guys could have taken advantage of me and convinced me I needed a much more expensive fix for my audio cutting problems and I'd have never known the difference. In fact they had already warned me the problem was most likely bad stock Infinity (Chrysler) amp. Then long before I was expecting to get out of there they tell me it's ready and it was just a bad ground, they fixed it, and now it's working great. They ultimately didn't have the part needed and wouldn't admit it and wouldn't refund my money after I got pissed that they were just trying to move inventory and not actually help someone. If I could've given zero stars I would. First thing... They cut up the inside of the dash in my car but I understand that has to happen from time to time. No big deal BUT to install the head unit they used black spray painted wooden blocks!!! Thats just one thing. They will steal your money. I had tail lights tinted and it started bubbling and falling off the first day. Went to take it back to them the next day and dropped it off and I came back to NO tint on my tail lights! They said they just can't do it. So of course I ask for my money back and nope. No money. Back. I literally payed for nothing. I paid for a product and service I never received nor did I get my money back. Stay far away from this sketchy place. I feel like I took my car to a shady alley garage! read more

Original hardwire for my dash cam from another shop was interfering with my radio. I went to the West Carrollton shop. Mike was able to fit me right in, unusual right? As I live an hour away, I waited. He came out a couple of times to explain his work progress and findings. Turned out to be a faulty hardwire kit. Mike was able to re-wire the camera. Very happy with the "small" job they did and professionalism of Mike. Price was reasonable for work done. I don't get into car customization much, but if anyone asks, you get my referral. OK time to usher in a new era of being thankful for good work. I am difficult to impress at best. I have high expectations for any service done on the 5 family vehicles. They replaced my old Viper keyless entry, alarm system with a new one and a remote starter again replacing an old one. I showed up, left the car for a few hours and they had it replaced the same day on short notice. They had a number of vehicles being picked up at days end but they still managed to fit me into the mix. Price was good and both units working perfectly as expected. Paul and the rest of the crew were wonderful to converse and do business with. Will return with other vehicles without hesitation. read more

Great customer service. I was having issues with the audio in my 94 Miata. First, the listened to all my concerns, they they offered me the different options and potential solutions. They sold me exactly what I needed at a great price, and didn't try and up-sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. Then they installed it professionally and uninstalled some stuff a previous place had installed incorrectly., Then they gave me great advise on how to get the best sound from it. The Pioneer unit they sold me sounds amazing, even with the top down at ah (legal posted speed limits) of course. I get better sound from this unit than a previous Pioneer unit plus amplifier. read more

First off I don't recommend this place. Now my story, they had 3 items up for bid on "bidondayton.com" I bided on 2 of them and won. One item was a vipor smart start alarm system. They said it was a retail value of $950 not including installation. That was a lie, the item had a retail value of $750 before tax. Item number 2 I won was an auto bass system retail value they claimed was $1370 not including Installation. Another lie, invoice discounts added up to $1079.94 before tax. So we are looking at $1829.94 adding tax brings it to $1962.61. It was supposed to be a value of $2320.00. Leaving it $357 short of what it was supposed to be. Then I had to drive in so they could look at my truck to determine what the had to order for Installation, which I guess is a reasonable request, I mean how many 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 double cabs could there be out there anyway. I do live 90 min away from the place and I made sure they knew this. Then I made sure they knew about the value difference and was told the owner placed the the information on the auction site but they gave all the discounts I was supposed to get. Fine whatever. Go in that Friday to have the work done got there at 9am, around 3 PM I was told they have the wrong speaker box for my truck and I'd have to come back again to fix that issue and they knocked of $50 for the inconvenience, at which time I was told they are just about done. At 6pm I am finally done. Settle my bill and leave 12 hours round trip. Wow. So I set up my next appointment for the following Friday for the box and issue's with the radio install. They killed my OnStar the radio turns in when I unlock the doors, I did not have any of the factory set up like the radio was capable of doing as claimed by the manufacturer, pioneer, told them this they installed the speakers and got OnStar working again. But no other issues was addressed and I was told that that is all the stereo was supposed to do, so I continue to plead my case and finally the guy said look I will have one of the managers call you back. Fine what ever. 4 days later still have not heard back from them, Pioneer said the did not I stall the head unit right because it is capable of supporting most of the factory functions when installed right. I purchased a Pioneer DEH-X4900BT radio from Car Stereo Max's West Carrollton location in March of 2017 and had them install it. I am a former car stereo installer myself, so I expect that when I pay a car audio shop to install a radio that they'd adhere to the same standards of quality that I was held to when I did installations myself. Boy, was I wrong! Their pricing is fair and service was quick. But that's where the positives end. I purchased a DEH-X4900BT model radio and half way home, realized that they had installed a DEH-X3910BT instead. I immediately returned to the shop, thinking this was a simple mistake. The person that helped me (also the same one that sold me the radio) said "oh, that's the newer version of the 4900. Pioneer doesn't make the 4900 any more." That is a flat-out lie. Not only does Pioneer still make the 4900, it has an MSRP $10.00 higher than the 3910 and has features the 3910 does not. I should've seen the red flags there and asked for them to remove everything and give me a refund, but I chalked it up to a misunderstanding by the sales guy and agreed to keep the 3910 (I hadn't researched the 4900 yet and took him at his word). The 3910 started acting up immediately on the way home. I thought maybe some settings were off or that it would sort itself out but again I was wrong. The radio acted like it had a mind of its own for the next few days (i.e. it would turn itself off or on without being touched, it would make calls on its own, it would turn itself up or down, it would skip songs on my iPhone or change radio stations on FM without anyone touching it). Realizing it was not a fluke and would not be fixed with settings or time, I returned to the shop a 3rd time. By now, I had researched the 4900 and realized I had been lied to before. Also during the few days since the installation, I noticed the wire for the Bluetooth microphone was dangling in my glovebox, as it was not secured out of sight with zip ties or any other means (which is usually part of the installation standard so it has a clean appearance and wires don't get caught on anything else or unplugged inadvertently). I told the sales guy what I found about the 4900 and asked that they replace the 3910 with the 4900 I had paid for and requested initially. I got the run-around again about how Pioneer "was in the process of" discontinuing the 4900 (also a lie...it's still readily available online and at other Pioneer dealers) and he was out-of-stock. Ok, fine. I asked that they install the floor model, which he agreed to do. I also asked that they secure the microphone wire that was dangling, which they also agreed to do.After swapping the radios, the sales guy told me that all of the erratic behavior of the 3910 unit was due to the installer plugging the microphone into one of the other jacks, so all noises in the car were prompting undesired actions by the radio. I'd about had it by now. That's 2 very simple things (plugging everything in correctly and securing all wiring neatly and out of sight) that any installer, even basic installers should do that didn't happen. When the 4900 was finally installed, I left, hoping that everything would now be fine. That's partially true. I tested everything out and functionally, it was all working as it should for the first time. I noticed, however, that there was a screw and some excess black plastic on the floorboard, which was worrisome, given the lack of professional work by the installer(s) previously. I couldn't see anything externally wrong, but the screw looked like one used to mount the radio and the plastic looked like one of the mounting tabs from the dash kit that is used to install the aftermarket radio. I un-snapped the dash trim to take a closer look at the radio installation to find out if I was on the right track. Right on both counts! Apparently, the installer snapped off one of the mounting tabs on the dash kit and therefore could not use one of the screws. Rather than replace the dash kit and mount it properly, he installed it with 3 screws and a missing tab. While this holds it in place semi-securely, it does not allow the kit to properly center itself in the mounting location and when the dash trim is installed, there is a significant gap (about 1/8 of an inch) on the left side, while the right side sits snugly against the dash trim. I'm also not sure which brand of dash kit was used, but it must've been a leftover kit from a sub-par manufacturer. I looks and feels very cheap and it obviously brittle. Most installers and professional car stereo shops use Metra or Scosche and I can assure you that this kit is neither of those brands. What a joke! Hacks, not professionals here. Never again! Go to anywhere but here. I ended up replacing the dash kit myself and redoing the entire install properly. If they can't get a simple radio install right, I'd hate to think what would happen during a more involved install. STAY AWAY! read more

Great store with friendly workers. I attempted to install a viper remote start on my wife's vehicle and it was a major pain due to the lack of instructions available on the web. Even worse, when I got to the programming part for the dball it just was not very easy to understand. Was my first time trying and needless to say, I got in over my head. Frustrated I went to best buy, the nearest authorized viper installer. They were not professional or knowledgeable and gave me the run around as far as pricing. I then called car stereo max, the only other authorized installer in the area. I had never heard of them but told the guy on the phone the situation. He was more than helpful with information and didn't pressure me to come in but I did. Their pricing was reasonable and they did a good job with the install. Wish I had saved the time and effort and gone to them in the first place rather than try an install. I will be coming back soon with my Infiniti g37. read more

I called told them the graphics i had to be put on my car and see if they had time to do it . They said bring it and would also give me a price to put em on so i went in they said $200 i said ok . Then we can do it next week i told em i couldnt do next week i thought they could do it when i went in considerin they were dead one car in their garage then i saidd u cant get em put on anytime this week nope totally booked all day all night open til 8. Mind you i have known people in the past to put graphics of past cars i owned and a whole lot harder than what i had theese are dimple compared to ones i had but no. If they have people there that are pin stripers graphics and whole car wraps theese would not take very long to if you want graphics done and its wednesday and you want something done by saturday ...dont go there bad experience didnt even bother to try and see if they can squeeze ya in cause if your good at theese things im sure they tell clients its gonna take for example 4hrs they get done in 2 or three they can get a small job in come on try to work with customers ..try to fit them in do all you can do to keep ya there i know they were a little high on the price but wanted it done so i said ok probably didnt expect the yes thing is i had the graphics i guess it wasnt making them enough i guess they rather sit around and not get paid read more

I could not be more thrilled with my experience. The WHOLE team was thoughtful and listened to my needs. I am on the road quite a bit with my business and need my vehicle to be a productive work place. I listen to podcasts, training calls, talk to my clients...for all that to be possible I needed a specific blue tooth installed in my Lexus as well as a couple of hard wired items to charge my cell phone and stream everything through the vehicle speakers. I really wanted to give this local business a chance I wanted a lane change warning system installed. Originally went to one of the top rated installers in Columbus while they were willing to do it they recommended that I use CSM. I went to CSM and the salesman who was pleasant assured me that they could install what I wanted despite thei fact that they had no experience. I put down a $250 deposit on a four point sensor warning system. One week later system hadn't arrived two weeks later still not in. Third week CSM said they had selected a better supplier with a better system. Agreed day of install I arrive at CSM the new system has only two sensors. Summary four weeks wasted while they held $250 of my money. read more
