I visited Car Toys to purchase some suppl and an amp, but they informed me the specific model I was interested in wouldn't fit and recommended a different amp. They agreed to install the system same day, I specifically requested not to tap RCA into the OEM subwoofer. A month later, I inspected the installation and found several issues: improper crimping on the power terminal, a loose power battery terminal with a cracked washer, and the same problem on the amp side, covered with electrical tape. The signal wire ran alongside the power, and RCA cables were spliced into the OEM subwoofer. Additionally, three screws were drilled into the car's chassis instead of attaching to an existing ground bolt. I strongly advise against using Car Toys for this sort of task; it's worth saving your $300 and doing it yourself. read more

Great experience at this location. Adrian helped me out quite a bit, I installed my amp with some RCA cables I bought earlier, but forgot to hook up the remote wire. He helped check the connections, gave me a fuse, and some mounting screws for free. Initially thought the amp was fried, but luckily was able to get it all working. Definitely recommend! read more

I went to the Lynnwood stores yesterday June 22nd to look at option for a camera, detail, and tinted windows. The tint person was in vacation so it is what it is. The sales person brought out the detail expert who explained the difference between the package. I chose the $159 classic. When I mentioned that the same as the Groupon he said no. The Groupon did not include some of the extras. Clearly the Groupon said $159 and a marked to $89. I said they are the same price he said Groupon is incorrect. I was frustrated and upset that they would not honour the coupon (I am glad I had not yet purchased). High pressure sales almost to the point of being shady. Went to Everett and basically the same experience. As a consumer I would avoid these stores at all cost. read more

Called this last Saturday about getting new stereo, sub, and backup camera installed on my car & trailer. They got me in same day! Will was the tech and absolutely nailed everything! Sub sounds incredible and he had it set up perfectly with no need for me to adjust anything. He also took care to figure out a great way to wire my brand new trailer and have the backup camera work perfectly and maintain the integrity of the trailer. Very very happy with this install. I had the Lynnwood car toys install a subwoofer and amplifier in my Infiniti. Well, when the install tech was running wires through the firewall, they accidentally bumped the drain vent, and knocked it off. Instead of fixing it, they left it like that, disconnected. Maybe they didn't notice. They button up the rest of the install and I'm a happy customer.... for about two months. See, in those two months, the season changed and the rain started. Now, I have a puddle of water in my passenger side. Every time it rains, water spills out of the broken drain under my dashboard, and it collects on the carpet. I got mold/mildew, and constantly fogging windows. Eventually, I took my car to the Infiniti dealership, to have it inspected. The car is brand new so shouldn't have issues like this. I was not expecting my car audio install from the "pros" at Cartoys to be the culprit. Infiniti 100% identified the source of the leak, and noticed the aftermarket wiring running right besides the broken drain vent. There has been nobody else underneath that dashboard running wires ever. The repair cost nearly $1800.00. Car toys refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. They deflected, denied, and skirted all responsibility when I presented them the receipt, and report from the mechanics at Infiniti. They claimed they need video evidence that it was their fault. Pictures taken by the mechanic were apparently not good enough. They said anybody could have done that, you can't prove it was us! Let me reiterate. Nobody has been under there EXCEPT for Car Toys. The car is new. The manager, said he would look into this and call me back. Well guess what, the manager NEVER called me, never emailed, never called Infiniti and I'm certain they never even talked to corporate. All of which they said they would do. Cartoys, Make. This. Right. I am a loyal customer. I've spent thousands on car audio from the lynnwood location. I'm not trying to make a quick buck. Your technician made a mistake- just own it, and do the right thing by your customer. read more

He offered a replacement upgraded radio from a different maker at no charge to me, which was very considerate of them. I was making a small purchase when I looked over and saw that Clerk 1690 had my debit card down below the counter and appeared to be typing its details into his computer. Pardon?! When I queried it he immediately stopped what he was doing, said their 'system was old', swiped my card on the POS machine that was also on his side of the counter, and gave my card back. So, 20 minutes on the phone to the bank, one canceled card, and a police report to the Lynnwood PD. The PD said they were going to go down and see if there was any security footage after I gave a description of Clerk 1690. Jump to your own conclusions. read more

there prices change depending who you talk to. ordered the Groupon detailing coupon. went in for my appointment. manager was nice, then found out it was a Groupon, immediately changed his tone. the guy cleaning my car made up extra charges so ended up paying 50 dollars more. I wouldn't mind paying it if it was a job well done. interior detailing was sub par. wanted it professionally detailed before I shipped my car. my car was newer. literally only vacuumed the crumbs from my kids off the seat. after he finished we did a walk through to show me what he did. when I asked about a a few stains on the seats, he said you will have to pay extra for that. literally he onky vacuumed the seats and partially washed the outside of the car. waste of money. windows seemed dirtier after the detailing appointment. went home and windexed the windows and cleaned the car myself. was hoping the detailing would save me time before our move. never going there again. strongly discourage anyone from buying the Groupon. not worth the money. it's sad because the shop used to be so good! idk what happened. never going back read more

I had a terribly awkward encounter the other day. Johnny kept complaining about how stressed and hungry he was. He talked more about his personal life then helping me figure out how to fix my sunroof. He even started tearing up at one point, so I offered the guy a Snickers bar and demanded to talk to someone else. Wil was attentive and apologetic. He educated me on my options to finally get my sunroof fixed, he even used simple words so I could understand better. Beware of this place and their business practices. I went into this location to upgrade a radio on a truck I purchased a few days earlier. Spent over $2600 on a radio and four speakers. Took a trip a few days later and had wiring issues which made the heat stuck on full blast. When I called the store about the issue Eric was rude and spoke very disrespectful to me. When I called him out about his customer service Eric said to me "we will have to agree to disagree" poor customer service Eric. I reluctantly went back to have it fixed. I took the same trip a few days later and the same thing happened, heat stuck in full. I took it back and asked for a refund. I was told I would only get a refund for the equipment of $1400 and not the labor cost of $1200. This is a shady business that only care about the bottom line and not the satisfaction of the customer. If they really stood behind their product and service they would offer a complete refund. After being rear ended on I-5, I decided to get my mom a dash/rear cam for Christmas at Black Friday. After the sticker shock of INSTALLATION, we managed to get it down about $150 overall. I was happy with that. Then comes the install- they told us it would take 3-4 hrs. Luckily it only took about 1 1/2 hrs. The camera itself is also not as great as advertised. The WiFi is super picky or just choses not to work at all. This is in a parking lot outside my house- not the middle of nowhere!! It shouldn't be having these issues, but they just say "yeah it can be touchy". BEWARE - it has been one thing after another since the initial purchase. Nobody showed us anything about how to use it or anything. They broke a tab off of the steering column housing, so it no longer fits correctly. I brought it back hoping for a quick fix, but that lasted a whole 3 minutes once using the wheel to drive. Back for the third time, and they "can't find" my appointment I made 2 weeks ago. The installer is 12 minutes late to work, so now I'm late. He finally corrected it as much as possible, but I've wasted so much time. I will not return here...ever. So disappointed, frustrated, worrying this was a waste of money for a so so product and install. Go elsewhere!! read more

I just got the exterior of my car detailed by Adrian at Car Toys. It took 3 and a half hours but he did a meticulous job and it looks great. He obviously takes pride in his job and it shows. The little scratches from the car wash are gone and it looks almost brand new which is saying a lot for a 2006 CRV. I am ecstatic about how great the car looks. It only has 74,700 miles on it. I can't say enough good things about the guys at Car Toys, Lynnwood. These guys know what they are doing, they are good at it, they are honest, and they approach the customer with a customer-service orientation. In short, they rock! I had an old Kenwood stereo that appeared to have died. Edgar (Store Manager) guessed (as it turned out, correctly) that the stereo likely shut down (safety feature) due to a short in a speaker wire. He offered the option to check (and if necessary repair) it for $45. This could have potentially saved me hundreds of dollars. (However, my old stereo was very old and lacked bluetooth, so I opted for a replacement anyway.) Edgar did a great job explaining my options. I later checked reviews and pricing online and found that one of Edgar's suggestions was highly rated. Also, somewhat surprising to me (in a very good way), Car Toys in-store sale price (at least for the stereo I chose) was actually better than ANY price I was able to find online. Edgar gave me an estimate for full installation and promised to have the car ready within 90 minutes. 90 minutes later, they called, the install was done and the car ready. The final price came within $2 of the estimate, INCLUDING tax. What a breath of fresh air. Edgar helped me pair my phone and very kindly/patiently answered my questions re: the new stereo. The installation was perfect -- clean install, no scratches or marks on the interior (I've seen the install on YouTube -- it's pretty involved and requires a lot of dismantling, which was why I opted not to try DIY in the first place). Added Benefits: Car Toys (Kirkland) had installed my previous stereo. Edgar was able to pull up the records in their computer system and check the parts previously used. Impressive. (My doctor can't do this with respect to any medical issues I had a decade ago, but Car Toys can re: my stereo. Too bad they don't do physicals, too...) (I didn't go back to the Kirkland store only because it is no longer as convenient a location for me. They did a great job back then, too -- but, I'm really glad I went to Lynnwood this time.) They were able to reuse the cables for the steering wheel controls, saving me another $100. I hate to think how many dishonest installers may have told me that they couldn't reuse it and sold me $100 of parts that I didn't need. As noted above, I've seen the install on YouTube. I'd pay $70 for that install every time. I didn't shop the install prices, but $70 for that work (and fixing the speaker wire) was a great deal in my view. They clearly know their stuff, but are not arrogant or patronizing -- just helpful and friendly. Car Toys, Lynnwood has earned my future business and wholehearted recommendation! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I dropped off my car this a.m. to get it detailed. What I got back that night was my car with a face lift and years given back. The whole ordeal took almost 10 hours but it was worth it. I gave Alexis my Groupon ($60) and he professionally explained the additionally services I could add, which I desperately needed. I knew going in the Groupon offered just the basic service. I expected and wasn't surprised at the upcharges (being realistic). I got the pet hair removal service, leather cleaner and polish, and trunk cleaned. They threw in some air oxidation too. Everything was explained thoroughly and results came out great! I paid an additional $182 after taxes. Adrien did an amazing job on the back seat carpet that was FILTHY! I tried everything previously to clean it and even bought a Bissell wet vac but to no avail. I was ready to spend some money today, however, upon walking in and after my first contact it went down hill from there. Explained what I wanted as the guy also worked doing other data input on the computer, nothing to do with my questions. Never any eye contact. Sent me to someone else who I had to explain everything over again. This person responded to things other than my questions. Programed answers. Horrible service. These guys are totally incompitent at both thier jobs and customer service. Went to have a stereo installed, they were supposed to have a part delivered for it. Called a few days early to confirm they had it delivered - they confirmed they did and scheduled an appointment. Show up 15 min early for appointment, they cant find the part. Had me stand there for 20 min while they mosied around giving me no info. Ended up leaving they were in no rush to fix my problem and showed no care that they messed up and were wasting my time. Just said "bye" - no sorry, no can we reschedule, just gave absolutely no care. Havent experienced this bad of service in a longgg time. Should have read the reviews before coming here. Went to the store with a large purchase planned but the customer service was pretty awful..basically non-existent. After entering, I went to the counter where one staff was already working and was just completely ignored for the first 10 minutes. Last time I checked I wasn't invisible. Interior detail by Trey and Nick was incredible! Hot water extraction removed kiddos glitter gel and I can actually see the pattern in the car seat fabric! Brought my mom's vehicle to get exterior detailing done. Car had some moss growing in cracks and crevices. When I got the vehicle back they just had me sign a paper and handed me the keys and that was it. Usually the detailer walks me through what they did . I found it odd. Due to it not being my vehicle I just felt like it looked good without a deep inspection as I drove off. When I got it home I did a quick once over on it and that is when I realized what they had done. They had ruined the grill. The paint that was previously in perfect condition is now peeling off. Not only is the paint peeling but the grill didn't even get fully cleaned as can be seen in the picture. My mother is beyond angry but considering I did not get shown the work they did and did not catch it I doubt they would own up to doing it. My mothers car is in immaculate condition and just had moss growing because she never drives. Not only did they lower the value of the car but they didn't even get all the moss or do the insides of the windows as specified. read more

The three stars is not a review of the technician which did the detailing, I believe he is a nice person just trying to make a living like anyone else. I do think however he is incentivized and pressured to upsell everybody. So the rating is for the establishment in general. I bought a Groupon, which is really useless with this particular merchant. The cost of the Groupon was $80 and I was basically told that the seats and the carpets wouldn't get done for that price. Anyway $120 later I had the car detailed. So basically it was $200 all in. It's not a horrible price, it's just the way they go about it I don't really appreciate. If I was to have purchased the plan directly from them it would've been the same price. So going through Groupon really didn't save anything. It just felt weird, kind of when you ask for a pedicure at a nail salon and you get a giant menu with all sorts of other up sells and you end up spending double what you would've originally. I do understand however the businesses need to make money but I love and appreciate transparent pricing. As far as how the car was detailed it looks good but I just would've rather gone to a completely different merchant so I ended up canceling the second Groupon that I bought concurrently. If you have a decent amount of money and you don't care about being upsold and then definitely go here as they have lots of choices of packages and customizable things but if you like straightforward business then I do not recommend it. read more

I've been there twice now, and both times I walked in and was never greeted or acknowledged. I walked around for twenty plus minutes and not one employee said, sir someone will be with you as soon as we can. Nothing. I don't know how they stay in business. It's frustrating because I was looking forward to getting a new car stereo system and alarm, possibly more. I walked out and they lost good business. I was looking to spend a nice chunk of money but instead I walked out after now going there twice thinking I'll give it another chance saying F this place! There was zero communication from this location (lynnwood). I have had my stereo installed in a different car about 3 years ago from a different location and they were a lot nicer. This place "made" me pay before my car was done. Detailing was poorly done. They look longer on the install and when I wanted to go over placement of my camera I asked them to call to go over it no communication. No communication that they were way behind on the install. They said the would be pick me up to take me to my car NO communication and late to pick up. Rushed me off the phone when I called to ask about when someone was picking me up. Over all just displeased with my whole experience and this will probably be my last time ever shopping with you guys. Sales guys were actually no help. I don't feel like you guys care about your customers. also no free installing at all like you guys claim in ads. read more

I just recently had both of my Audi one is a 2014 S6 one is a 2012 Audi Q5, both cars, fully wrapped and tinted by Alexis Carbajal he is the only person that I would have tint any of my vehicles Ever! He does an Amazing job and he cares about all of his work and it's quality work 100% of the time. I am a paying customer and I want to get their name out there for people that want to get their windows tinted and other electronics installed. They also installed Apple CarPlay on my car. This location actually cares about their customers and the quality of work that they do on my Audi Q5. I had the entire car done front windshield, both side, windows, back window and thepanoramic moonroof. They also did the full rap on my Audi 2014 S6, which I have extreme OCD with everything, especially my vehicles and when I take my vehicles is there, I know that I don't have to stressed out they keep them locked up at night and their trustworthy people that do quality work 100% of the time!!! My cars are a little dirty right now, but I'm gonna add some photos. Also, Arnell is a great person there and I love working with him too! This is an email complaining of a bait and switch situation and taking advantage of the senior citizen with Car Toys and what they offer on Groupon. I purchased two groupons through groupon with Car Toys, which I have done for many years. I purchased an interior and exterior detailing, which was discount from their original service, however, when I arrived the detailer immediately informed me before he even looked in my vehicle that he would be charging me $30.00. I asked him why and he looked at my floor on the drivers side and passenger side and informed me that it was too dirty and he would have to scrub harder than normally. He then went to the back of my Crossover and let me know he would not vacuum the back because it is considered a trunk. I informed him I needed it done and as long as he did a good job in the front and cleaned and shined the interior and exterior that I would be fine, but I will not pay anymore than $30.00 extra. He proceeded to the front and informed me that he would only be waxing my vehicle, if I wasn't going to pay extra. I stated that is not what the groupon is there are dried bugs on the front and he stated you get what you pay for and that requires more work. I informed him I expect it to be washed and waxed. I made an appointment at 9am and informed him I would be by to pick up at 4:00pm and he informed me he couldn't guarantee the time. I asked why did I make an appointment, and he informed me full price comes first. I arrived back at 4:30pm after calls asking if the car was done and they never even started it until 4:00pm. I picked it up and paid for the extra $30.00 and I went to the car and I asked him this is the best you could do and again he stated you get what you pay for and stated you should have paid the extra money. I looked at the seats and the door jams and the car exterior and they never wiped down the inside of the doors, the bottom of the doors, and the door runners. The didn't wash the vehicle they just waxed over the dirt the dried bugs were still on the front of the bumper, the dried milk was on the back cup holders on the arm rest, there was dust and grime in the gear shift and inside where console for change. The windows still had a layer of dirt that was never washed away. This individual knew what he was going to do when I arrived and knew he was going to request more money before he even opened or looked at the car. The kids in my neighborhood could've done an honest job, but I believe he saw a senior come in and decided he would ask for more money. I reluctantly signed that I accepted to get my keys from the detailer to leave, however, I will never recommend this company or groupon again. This is a horrible company that knows exactly what they are doing and hoping that no one will call them on it.
