I was so unhappy with my new Lexus stock sound system. The car had ANC in it so I soon I put the car in drive it would go on and it would sound like a tin can. I checked around everywhere and no one wanted to touch my car because it was so new. They also had the JL audio amplifier that I wanted in stock. They have very high-end items here. The Focal speakers are amazing! They also did a custom subwoofer in my trunk. They said everything was removable in case I wanted to sell the car back. If you are looking for an honest reputable company this is Not the place. Had my Amplifier Burnt up after 20 minutes because of wiring issues they will Not Accept Accountability for. This could all be resolved if they were willing to contact their insurance. $2,000 plus out of pocket for me. It is directly from the General Manager. Still waiting for them to resolve this issue. this is my first zero stars review. had to choose a single star no choice. don't waste your time with this place. they straight up lied to me. made and appointment 3 days in advance. was told it would take 1.5 - 2 hours for minor repairs to sub/amp and adding a base reducer knob. wasted $30 on uber rides to find out 2 hrs later they hadn't even touched it. further couldn't even tell me when they would. fing excuses like a 1st grader would do over homework. simply pathetic...yelp should have a negative star rating as this place deserves it. enter at your own risk, time and money. read more

Was looking for ideas to help improve my car audio. I kid you not, I was told that my car's BASE audio system was worth $15k. And the upgraded audio systems in factory cars were $40k so upgrading these things would be expensive..... ROFLMAO. What the hell? The entire car that I had wasn't even that much...plus on brand new cars, premium audio factory upgrades are usually only $3k or less so I'm not sure where this guy's math came from. Like are you trying to rob me or something? The guy who was "helping" me had an attitude that made it seem like I was out of place and that I was wasting his time. Decided to get a quote anyways without him trying to see what was needed exactly. Cost? $9-10k. Yeah, no thanks. Found much better service and customized job elsewhere. read more

I went there to get the four speakers in my dash and door replaced in my Toyota 4Runner. They gave me a price that was $400 and then called me after they had did the job and told me it was going to be $100 less because they didn't do the two in the door, but they made that decision without me. They also completely changed the brand of speakers that I had picked in the store without telling me. They put in the cheap little tweeters. Everything works good so far but they could have handled my situation better and asked me before making decisions without my input. Do your research. Won't be going back. read more

Tried getting a deal via Groupon, purchased a remote start and called to make a appointment per the instructions. I like to verify if there is anything else needed to make the process go quicker and scheduled my day off. Called twice to confirm my appointment thru out the week and asked both times if I need anything else beside my truck for the appointment. Day of arrival, guess what. "You need both your truck keys or I can't do anything about it." I understand NOW why I need both keys. I calmly asked why this wasn't brought up when I asked and Guess what. "Well it wasn't me you spoke to." Too far to drive back home, I had to ask for a reschedule. The place looked nice for what it's worth. But it didn't sound like they wanted to fix or even apologize for a miscommunication. So, guess what. My Groupon? Traded it for a f*** ton of socks and underwear. Worth it. read more

Alex has treated me like the closest thing to family, explaining everything thoroughly from start to finish(all they way down to the technical aspects of subwoofer/sound system installs to the quality of the wires... I can't stress it enough, they exemplified excellent service throughout the whole process. My install required a trouble shooting process and was time consuming however Alex made sure I was getting an excellent product and a great service that I was paying for. We had a system installed in our 2020 Mustang, all new speakers, an amp, and a subwoofer. We've had numerous problems since the install. It's becoming a real hassle to continue to drop the car off to have them fix problems. I don't know if they sold me 2 grand worth of equipment or their technicians are just horrible. I regret ever letting them work on my car. I'm learning to just live with my speakers cutting in and out. read more

I won't EVER come back nor recommend. There were two sales people on the floor. One gentleman was on the phone while helping a customer & the other was helping a man and said not ONE word. While he continued blasting the music to show his customer. I've been in sales and I know to acknowledge people at least with a hello someone will be with when we're done. It amazes me because my husband and I looked forward to getting both of our cars done here due to the good reviews. Once the gentleman got off the phone he said someone will be with and still had a women to help. Again I understand being busy but the other gentleman helping out the man customer could have cared less that my husband and I was ready to spend +15k. Unfortunately we went further down 45 and gave our business else where. Not to mention that place we gave our business to actually had at least 10 customers in there vs the 2 customers your business had. Once my husband and I walked in we REALLY knew they were busy and within 30 seconds a gentleman said "as you can see we're busy and short handed but be patient with us and someone will be with you." All I'm saying is there were only 2 customers to your 2 employees in there and it took someone several minutes to acknowledge us. Don't lose business over a lack of customer service. read more

Got a full sound system installed by Car Tunes a couple of weeks ago. New Pioneer Apple Car Play deck, Audison tweeters, Kenwood door speakers, sub, and amp. They did a great job with install; in at 10:30 and out by 16:00. Only minor problem is now my door ajar light stays on after install. Not a deal breaker, will definitely be back for some tint and bead liner at some point! Great job to these guys! read more

I called Car Tunes in League City, TX to see if they could help out with an Alpine Stereo/GPS system in a motor home. Alex said they could certainly take a look, make an estimate and schedule a time for repair. I took the motor home down, went in and he immediately had James come out a take a look. After no more than 30 minutes he had corrected the error, and re-installed the stereo. Boy, oh Boy.... EXCELLENT service and they didn't charge me. This is somewhat of a biased review, considering that my only previous experience with a car stereo place was at the terribly overpriced Car Toys chain. I came here with a new car from Clear Lake Nissan to have the subwoofer and amp from my previous car transferred to the new one. I also decided to replace the stock speakers with a mid to high end ARC set up. Overall, I was very pleased with the transaction. This is by far the best car electronics shop that I have been to. There are many to choose from and I have been to various ones in the past and from now on this is the only place that I will take my cars to. The guys that run this place are extremely knowledgeable and honest. I just had a remote start system installed on a new car we bought. Car tunes installation was perfect, they explained what they will do, did it right the first time and took their time to show us exactly how it works. Before stopping at this shop other places said that it can't be done on the car we have or they can "try" and it will cost us $800. Car Tunes got this done without any hesitation for under $500. I had these guys install my audio system in my ride. They did an awesome job with the install & they included an easy access bass knob for easy access. I realized that my S-mode wasn't working a couple days after taking my car home, then I also noticed that my hazard switch was also not working. After taking the center console out, I noticed that the switch was left disconnected. Simple fix! The owner (Prince, If I remember correctly) told me to bring my car in if anything didn't meet my satisfaction etc, but I didn't bother doing so being that I knew it was something simple. I'm loving my Navi, Bluetooth connections, voice control, & the crystal clear highs with a nice drop from the 12 inch mono P3 sub! Great work guys! I could only imagine paying a couple hundred or thousand dollars for audio work and I would never hear from these guys again! Their website boasts about how great their customer service is, well not contacting a NEW CUSTOMER for service is POOR customer service. Where should I start... i have a jl audio 800/8 that I was told was the last one the had and so he could discount it. It was missing a few small things (an Allen key and jl logo for the cover that goes over the controls)but looked brand new so I thought nothing of it. There was problems from the get go but every time I came in something was done to resolve it so I didn't really trip. One day 10 minutes after leaving the shop for one of these "repairs" a high pitched whistle came through the speakers. This continued as I returned to the shop. After a little while trying to figure out what happened I was told one of the crossovers was in between settings and that's what caused it. Looking back if that was the issue why did it wait 10 minutes and then kick on out of nowhere? That day it solved the problem and so I rode with it. I bought a pair of $400 tweeters only to find out after my purchase that the amp and the radio's crossovers werent going to be enough. So I bought a digital sound processor that was like 600 just for the set of tweeters. Blew the front tweeter in a few days And kept having a scratching noise. So I started doing some research and one of the main things the company that makes the processor says is To ground it at the battery. What they had done was daisychain it off of my amplifier. They replaced the blown speaker I brought it in a few more times still sounded like shit. So I bypassed the processor with the RCA's except for the channel on the tweeters and I rode like that for like four months. Bring it back to get fixed eventually And they end up redoing my ground wires Because they're not supposed to be daisychained off the amplifier And telling me I could come pick the truck up. But when I got here the next morning it was in the back with the dash pulled off and they had made a mistake telling me it was ready. So I leave and get a call a few hours later that says "this light on the dash that was already on right?" Nope it wasn't on the truck has 36,500 miles but when I get my truck the light was still on and I was told my back up sensor on the right hand side was out. Couple weeks later against my better judgment I bring it in because the front right channel keeps going in and out at random and so they tell me they will replace the processor. They were standing around so they were too busy to do it bring it Tuesday morning first thing so I get here at nine the installer isnt here Come back at 10:30 he'll be here. 11:15 maybe he rolls up Comes to get the truck and says we're gonna try a few things before we replace it. Now they've already tried a few things I know that keeps happening is different problems but none of these problems were happening before the processor. So after a few times coming back trying not to swap the processor out, He comes back and says that the amp is making a funny noise when you go through the filters the thing is when the tweeters blew the first time I brought it back a couple times over that and was assured that it wasn't the amplifier the reason the amplifier was making noises was because the crossover switch was stuck in between instead of on the actual setting. So after reluctantly telling me two hours later that he was going to do what I was told they were originally going to do and the reason I came up here they replace the processor but not the amplifier Which has been the one constant in the equation. It seems to work for a couple weeks same problem talk to them on the phone and I'm told when to come in only to be told ways I can troubleshoot and isolate the problem for them. All I know is I've been up here over 10 times since I bought the amplifier with no solution. An amplifier that should be under warranty from a shop that with it being a local business you would think would be a little more focused on customer service. I had a JL audio HD amplifier from car toyz that blew out one month short of the two-year warranty ending. The guy came back to me and said There's some bad news we don't have the app in stock we had to get it sent from another store and it will be here in a few days. I didn't think it was bad news then but after dealing with this shop I'm extremely grateful that they dealt with me in a professional way. I came in this shop with a friend familiar with it and got a good vibe. And I'm sure I've spent Nowhere near what some people have spent in the store but I also know a couple grand is more than a lot of people have spent in the store. They win I'm good. I won't waste anymore of either of our time. It's just not hard to understand why local businesses are closing and amazon is what it is after experiencing their business practices. read more

I worked with Eric on a custom upgrade for my 67' Chevy C10. Setting expectations, he got to know how I wanted the system to sound and look. I appreciated that he did not try to oversell me. The installation was completed timely and of the utmost quality. There is not much room to work with in the cab of a C10 but they created custom boxes that perfectly match the interior of the truck. Please don't use this place to get your windows tinted. I took my brand new car to get tinted here 10/17/20. I had to go back again on 10/19/20 because there were multiple bubbles and gaps in the windows. The issue still wasn't corrected so I had to go back for the 3rd time 10/22/20. The second time I went I noticed water stains and dirt on my headliner when I got my car back. I luckily was able to get the stains out. I brought it to their attention and politely asked them not to get my headliner dirty on the 3rd attempt to fix the tint. After the 3rd attempt my headliner had more stains and I noticed a piece of my car had damage in the back seat. This was a brand new car they did work on. They had no respect for my car and I won't be going back. Just stay away and go get your windows tinted somewhere else!! I had to take this "L" but wanted to warn others so you won't go through the same thing. read more
