Omg everything here! We looked at 20 restaurants on OpenTable before we chose this! We ate delicious food, the drinks were so great and the service was perfect! Gracias Saul por el súper servicio! Vuelvo a venir cada vez que venga a CDMX

Okay, I really wanted to give this place my typical 5 stars because the music/dj is one of the best I've heard in a long time post Covid, but the service and food disappointed. The servers were very nice, but they just didn't have it together. For example we had to ask for water 4 times to two different people and we had to ask for the complimentary salsa and chips. Then the food, we were super disappointed with the food and the drinks. The food lacked something to desire. The food and drinks present amazing but taste basic to blah. Overall, if you want to feel a very cool vibe in Mexico City with excellent music and atmosphere, this is your venue! Unfortunately, the food and service don't match.

Stumbled inside this restaurant to grab some drinks and lunch. The restaurant is a huge space decorated beautifully with pop art, plants, and modern furniture. We stopped in pretty early in the afternoon which explains why so many tables were open. Their service was prompt and the food & drinks were impressive. They even have an ice cream cart! I wasn't surprised to learn after that the restaurant turns into an upbeat lounge with a night club flare. If I am ever back in Mexico City, I'll be sure to come back and make a reservation for dinner and drinks here.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place!!!! From the main entrance the place is simply Instagram ready, the decore, the music, the vibe, couldn't ask for more. Oh! But wait!!! There was more... the servers where very attentive and know their menu. When I say just go with what they suggest you better believe me. We had the delicious burger with the cheese melted on top which was amazing, we also ordered the lobster plate that comes with a specialty drink and let me tell you it was not only delicious but the presentation and show that specialty drink comes with is a must (have your camera ready). We also ordered the ribeye tacos that were super delicious!!! A must when in CDMX!

Service was amazing, almost overwhelming! Food was incredible! Drinks awesome! A lot of different flavors all together in harmony...

Instagrammable decor is on point at this restaurant!

I have mixed feelings about Carajillo. In terms of the service and the experience for the value of the American dollar, this is one of the best places you can visit when coming to CDMX if you want a luxury, Vegas-style meal for less than $50-60 per person total. The atmosphere is gorgeous and tropical, the food is divine, and you will be treated like royalty. Most of the waitstaff is superbly professional and should honestly win awards for their attention to customer service and hospitality experience. The mixed drinks are also delicious and made to your liking by the mixologist. Which brings me to my issue, the mixologist would not stop sexually harassing me and my friend when he realized we were American, and was badgering us and standing over our table trying to get us to leave the restaurant with him so he can take us to a nightclub when his shift was over. This was despite us not even showing any interest or flirting, and I was wearing my wedding band as well. When we finally firmly rejected him, he began to harass us for a bigger personal tip, even though we had paid the tip through our credit card. Sufficed to say we did not feel safe as we were leaving the restaurant given his demeanor. I would probably recommend coming here with at least one guy in your party if you are not local or Spanish-speaking.

Great place! They offer an extensive food menu. The short rib dish can be shared! The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere very cool.

This place and the service was immaculate. The food we tried was amazing which was the carajillo burger, arrachera pizza and Mac and cheese with chistorra. Highly recommend this place.

Digital menu, 3 salsa's and a cracker pastry.

We're here on business and strolled the area and came upon this restaurant & three of us went in for lunch around 12:30 pm. Very Upscale atmosphere with a reasonably priced menu & impeccable service from beginning to end! Staff pulled out your chair & hung your purse. We were served a cracker style pastry with 3 salsa's all with a different hint of flavor- spicy, smooth and creamy and a salsa verde. We all drank water which they poured for you. They have a very extensive drink menu. I wanted the chile relleno tacos but they have discontinued this item and apologized for not taking it off the digital menu. So I enjoyed the suckling pig tacos. The meat was tender and full of flavor served with coleslaw & avocado salsa. My other colleagues had steak tacos & enchiladas. I plan on returning here to appreciate the drinks, food & atmosphere with my hubby.

So Mexico City is a city that is truly a foodie's paradise-One can't throw a rock without hitting…read morea Michelin rated restaurant. Another thing this city has is very inexpensive spots you can eat, like pop ups or stands that serve such high quality food at very cheap prices. The third thing I found about this city is where this restaurant fits in-They have restaurants that are historic, that opened over 100 years ago-Cafe de Tacuba fits in that category, having opened in 1912. This restaurant is located in Centro Historico-just a few blocks from Zocalo. Its location is a very busy touristy part of Mexico City. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, but once we walked in it was obvious why as it was truly a work of art in there. The walls were adorned with amazing paintings and murals and interior designs elements that transported you back to Mexico in the 1950s and earlier. It was gorgeous. I don't want to call it a fancy place with all the stigma that sometimes represents but it was a fancy place without all the stuffiness of a fancy place. It was a very warm and welcoming place to dine at. There was a lady walking around with a platter full of conchas and churros that one could indulge in while waiting their main meal. I had to get a churro-it was so delicious. We also got chicken tortilla soup-it was so rich and tasty with the perfect blend of Mexican seasonings. I had a pretty good cafe con leche as well-you could really taste the high quality coffee beans they use in their coffees compared to what I'd been getting all trip in the streets. Now when you visit this restaurant and you could only try one dish-that dish begins and ends with Enchiladas Tacuba(355 pesos/$20.35) That's what I got and it was awesome. Its basically a chicken enchilada dish with a creamy spinach based sauce topped with cheese-flavor bomb to the fullest. 9.5/10 Item I wouldn't clarify this as an inexpensive meal compared to other places we visited in Mexico City, but I would call this place an incredible dining experience where one can just feel the importance of the building one is having this meal. Heck Diego Rivera had his wedding reception here in 1922. I for sure would recommend anyone who has the pleasure of visiting Mexico City, must add Cafe de Tacuba to their itinerary-it's such a rich experience.

The tamales and chilaquiles verdes con huevos y bistec were okay. The tamales were a little dry,…read morewhile the chilaquiles verdes con huevos y bistec were bland and could have used more seasoning. Customer service could be improved, as it was hard to get a hold of our waiter at times. All in all, worth visiting for the ambiance, but the food did not match the experience.
