I and my uncle stopped here from out of town and we fell completely in love with this place and the people. The food was absolutely excellent and the customer service was the best we have ever had! The tall bearded cute chef guy in the back had this strong silent type vibe going for him and omg he is so cute and can really cook. We will definitely be coming back. The food is really fresh and it appears that everything is made in house, nothing tastes artificial or frozen. The price is great, the seating area feels like something in a movie and the people that work there are just awesome, kind and considerate. A lot of people don't know that this place makes the BEST carrot cake in town. They're known for their signature Carmel waffle cookies which are addictive (and I don't even like Carmel or cookies) but if you want to impress, buy their carrot cake. Upon arriving I quickly realized they had a very small selection of breakfast items and what I had, the special I think, which consisted of a bagel "steamed" eggs and melted cheese was not what I was expecting to eat for breakfast that morning. Due to our limited time we decided to stay however our breakfast came with a cinnamon roll and it was delicious. Decided to try other pastries and was surprised at how tasty their pastries were. Took some to go and had a fantastic brunch with what we purchased. Again do not go for their breakfast stick to the pastries. I had the S'mores cappuccino which was delicious. I love love love the Caramel Cookie Waffle! Every time I'm in town I make my dad take me to lunch here. He usually chats up the owners about soccer, while I keep my focus on the delicious sandwich I just ordered. I really don't know how they can talk about soccer because the place smells so good all I can think about is food. As for the cookies... well, they are heaven. Really good desserts - we tried the caramel cookie waffles (delicious!), the Nanaimo bar is insanely good, and the cupcake we got to go and haven't tasted yet (dark chocolate pistachio coconut)! It looks amazing. The lunch food we tried was just OK. The panini of the day was meatloaf and it just tasted dry - both the meatloaf and the French bread - and needed some zing. The Mac-n-cheese was below average. Five cheeses but lacked flavor and was also ok the dry side (not creamy). We had to add a fair amount of salt, too. The chicken curry soup was pretty good, but nothing amazing. It was on the salty side. Loved the dessert stuff, would definitely return for the sweets! read more

I grew up eating these stroopwafels whenever I would visit Billings in the summer to visit family. I've tried several other brands and none of them can even come close to the awesomeness of these. Occasionally you can find them other places outside of Billings but the best ones are fresh from the source. These little things are quite dangerous and it isn't unheard of to eat the whole bag with out even noticing it they are so addictive. It is a family requirement that when people come to visit they must bring at least one pack if not more. Sadly I can't speak to any of the other food they offer but if it is half as good as the stroopwafels it'll be damn tasty. read more

What a great hole in the wall! Fail on my part for not getting the stroopwaffles and the caramel cookie waffles that everyone keeps raving about. However, I was there for lunch and opted for their Soup du Jour (chicken gumbo) and house salad instead - YUM! As it would have been tragic to have left without a baked good (or a few baked goods), I did choose their apricot almond thumbprint cookies (Wow, only 75 cents!) and was not at ALL disappointed. When I first came in, however, I was a little overwhelmed...in a GOOD way! There are so many options here to satisfy the inner glutton. Soups, salads, sandwiches, artisan breads, cookies, gluten free options like chocolate covered coconut macaroons, cheesecakes, turnovers, you name it, they got it. My kinda bakery! The owner was delightful and very helpful. Although I wanted to open a package and consume them right then and there, I refrained and packaged them neatly in my luggage. When I saw that it was a stroopwafel (that is what we Dutch call them), my heart skipped a beat! They are delicious caramel goodness, that go great with a cup of coffee. This family-owned bakery has been around for over 30 years, serving up excellent traditional Dutch-baked goodies like their Dutch pastry of flaky, buttery crust surrounding a spiced sausage roll (saucijzenbroodje), a mix of pies and cookies, and lunch specials like soups and salads. If you are looking for the best cup of soup in town, this is definitely the place to go. I can't get enough of the Dutch Cabbage soup in the winter and the Rice Florentine the rest of the year. The menu may not be the most extensive but you can't go wrong with anything that you pick. It's worth the wait time at lunch. The food is packed and ready to go for you to head back to work.
