I don't have the impression they have anything pre-cooked; it's all made upon ordering. I like that approach because soggy fried chicken is not a positive. If you're in a hurry, it's probably best to order ahead. While I cannot say anything against the size of the chicken pieces, sometimes when I've ordered, I can tell the oil in which it's been fried is not fresh. It gives the batter and the fries an unpleasant taste that the sauces (there are various options) does nothing to hide. In those situations, remove the batter and the chicken itself is okay. The fries are crispy, which I rather like for some reason. Overall, Fingers and Fries is an okay food truck and a nice option from the burger, taco and Asian-food truck choices.

I enjoyed my conversation with them while I was waiting for my order to go. The Reuben was excellent. I had the ordinal sauce and a honey mustard, both on the side so I could try it both ways. I couldn't tell which I liked better. The chili was stellar too. The seating area had a homey feeling. The bar chairs, chairs, and booths are comfortable. Overall this is an excellent choice. Still, as much as I enjoy the downtown spot, sometimes I just don't feel like making the journey. Burger Dive has solved that problem with this west side location. Between the two locations, I've tried several of their burgers and the Jerk with pepper jack and Jamaican jerk sauce and the Garlic with roasted garlic and garlic basil mayo have been my favorites so far. Both are decent size, juicy and the toppings enhance but don't hide the flavors. It's the shakes that have my curiosity piqued -- the Essence of Goat is a blend of huckleberry and Goat cheese. The tiny pieces of that sharp cheese was a great balance to the sweetness of the huckleberry and ice cream. (The ice cream is Wilcoxson's of course, a local Montana ice cream. ) The roasted garlic and salted caramel shake was interesting but didn't wow me as much as I expected. The caramel was there but any hint of garlic was lost. The shakes are available in a smaller size and after barely being able to walk after a burger, it was a good selling point. The employees have all been super -- customer service has been spot-on. I might have to venture toward the Nathan's hot dog offerings next visit.
