Good to know you can come here on Sunday morning at 9 AM and get seen by a doctor within minutes…read more I recommend this place if you have to see someone quickly. There is plenty of free parking in their parking lot, there is a receptionist on the first floor to give directions where to go or help with any other needs. Beth Israel's's Urgent Care is located on the second floor, there is an elevator a wheelchair if needed. The office suite is clearly marked urgent care, very important. If you are stressed or in a situation you don't want to have to second guess where to go. My doctor examined me thoroughly and had a medical assistant. My exam was quick. This is urgent care and being quick is a good thing. . I did not have to go to an emergency room for which could take hours maybe even days to be seen, especially at a non Beth Israel emergency room. Even then, taking up the space and time in an emergency room makes it difficult for those people that are really in crisis with a high need medical issue. If I needed an emergency room, BI Urgent Care would have sent me or made sure I got there safely. So this was the perfect option for me rather than waiting for an appointment after a minor car accident. Or emergency room. I'm very pleased with Beth Israel, as medical provider in all areas of care including surgeries. Hands down, the best option. Discharge/service note was giving to me at record speed and my medication was called in in the same manner. I've been coming for my primary care to this location for several years. Professional staff at the front desk make my visits run smooth. the doctor examined me, I felt confident in his ability to assess me. Today was pleasant and efficient I was in and out of there quickly. And that's what I want when you have been in an accident or some other life incident.

Within a short time I had a diagnosis and meds were called in to my pharmacy. I'm on the mend now and could not be more grateful. Super-easy access on and off Route 1 via Route 16 eastbound. Ample parking. A lab and XRay facility right there. A pharmacy right next door. Very comforting to have this facility nearby.

Mass General Brigham Urgent Care - Brookline…read more I am leaving this review to document a deeply upsetting and unprofessional experience at Mass General Brigham Urgent Care in Brookline on February 7, 2026. I arrived with a near-complete loss of voice and checked in promptly. I waited approximately two hours, during which time multiple patients who arrived well after me were called ahead. When I politely asked the front desk staff about the delay, I was told that "other patients' conditions were more important than mine," without any explanation or transparency. Online appointment scheduling was not available that day, and this is an Urgent Care facility--not an Emergency Room--so this handling was confusing and frustrating. Eventually, a nurse brought me back, took my vitals, and listened attentively despite my difficulty speaking. This part of the visit was professional and appropriate. Unfortunately, the encounter with Megan Phillips, CNP, was the complete opposite. She entered the room and immediately accused me of refusing COVID and flu testing, which was untrue. I was trying--despite being almost unable to speak--to explain that I had no symptoms consistent with either illness and to ask whether, if tests were negative, treatment options or referral for vocal cord inflammation could be discussed. No physical exam was performed. Instead, Ms. Phillips responded in a dismissive and aggressive manner, stating that steroids are only given in "special" cases such as singers or media personalities, implying that I did not qualify. I am a preschool teacher, and my voice is my primary professional tool and my only source of income. There was no effort to accommodate my inability to speak or to truly listen. My husband, who was present, expressed concern about the two-hour wait and lack of evaluation. At that point, Ms. Phillips abruptly said, "If you are refusing tests, I am done here," turned around, and slammed the door shut, effectively ending the visit. Being treated this way while physically unable to speak was humiliating and distressing. When I returned to the front desk to ask for a supervisor or guidance on filing a complaint, I was told no supervisor was available. I was handed an After Visit Summary that contained no documentation of my symptoms, history, assessment, or care, only a list of future appointments--despite the fact that no meaningful care had occurred. After waiting two hours and receiving no treatment, I asked if I could be seen by another provider. I was later told that no provider in the department was willing to see me, that I was no longer welcome, and that I should seek care elsewhere. I was dismissed from the facility without care. This experience was shocking and profoundly disappointing, especially within the Mass General Brigham / Brigham and Women's system, which presents itself as a leader in patient-centered care. I sought help in good faith and was met with hostility, dismissal, and exclusion at a moment of vulnerability. I hope this review prompts serious reflection and corrective action. No patient--especially one who is physically unable to advocate for themselves--should ever be treated this way.

I have gone in, had my vitals checked, and that's it. They haven't taken a single person in since I've arrived (and the room is almost full). When I went back to get my vitals checked the rooms were empty, people were sitting at their desks, nothing was happening. I'd love an answer as to why it takes seemingly forever to check out a patient.

I can't believe the reviews I am reading here about MGH…read more Was I in the same place becauce the place I was in didn't seem like I was being treated as the Four Seasons. On Saturday I went to my pharmacist and asked her if there was anything I could take to help with the symptoms and pain I was having. She said you need to see a Doctor don't wait til Monday. So I went to MGH Medical Walk-IN-Unit on Sunday May 1, 2011. My symptoms were fever, sever pounding headaches which seemed worst than having a migraine, dizziness, stomach pain, chills, unable to swallow, pain running down my legs and unable to eat or sleep for four days. I waited at MGH for about 2 hours at which time I saw a Dr Herb Lin who I found to be rude and unprofessional. You talk about " Patients Rights And Responsibilites" If all you need is a computer to diagnose someone than I can do that because that is what Dr Lin did. (Do you think Doctors are on Facebook) I sat there while he typed away as his computer only to take a quick look at my throat then made his diagnosis. A real doctor would have check my glands, my stomach, my head, my legs. You would think with such a prompt diagnosis that there should only be a 10 minute wait as it seems Dr Lin must be getting paid by the number a patients he see's. This really puts a bad taste in my mouth. I not saying this is a bad place but at least stay away from Dr Herb Lin.
