I went in on a Thursday because I've had a cold and a cough for three weeks. I made an appt at 10:15 an hour later PA Fatima came in and apologized for being late and said we were keeping her busy. The rest of the visits was pleasant and she said I had a sinus infection and she would prescribe 3 medications. She mentioned giving me an inhaler. I explained I have Albuterol. She said this inhaler was better since it has a steroid. She also scheduled a follow up appt. For me which was today. I waited until the afternoon to call and check on the status of the medications because the pharmacy is usually really fast. I was told they hadn't received a prescription so I called Carbon Health and asked if they could send the medications and they said they would but they ended up only sending one. I had to call Carbon Health again to request that they send the other two. The inhaler didn't end up being covered and out of pocket would have been $600. The pharmacy contacted Carbon Health to ask if they can change it to something else. I got a call from Carbon Health around 6 telling me she really wanted me to be on this inhaler and was instructed to go on the manufacturers website and get a coupon to help pay for the inhaler. The coupon didn't work and Carbon Health ended up sending regular Albuterol. I went in because I still have a cough and a man named Dorian was super rude. He made it seem like I was wasting his time by being there. He asked me why I was there and I explained briefly before he cut me off and asked if I felt better I said a little then he said well you're still on antibiotics and you need to let them work and the cough will linger. I can't give you more antibiotics. I never requested more antibiotics. He said Albuterol is fine. When I asked if I can take cough syrup he made it seem like it was an obvious yes. I let him listen to my lungs and check my ears he said I was fine then asked anything else I can do for you? I said no. He said if I don't feel better in a week to go back. Side note: I'm not going back to this place. He then said ok let's get you out of here and opened the door and motioned with his head for me to get out the room. I know two of my coworkers like this place. I did not. read more

They've gone so downhill it's not even worth coming here anymore. 11am appointment time and a half hour later I'm still sitting in an empty lobby with empty rooms waiting to be seen. If they can't honor appointment times I can't see how they could possibly give you honest care anymore. This place was awesome a little over a year ago. A good friend recommend us to come here for all our urgent care needs and I'm so glad she did. There is hardly ever any wait so walk ins are fine, but you also have the option to call or go online to schedule an appointment. Their staff; from receptionists, medical assistants and PAs/NPs have all been wonderful. All very professional, knowledgeable and kind. I've never had a bad experience. Very clean and welcoming. Never again, even if you have insurance (Blue Shield of CA). Received a bill 9 months later for two visits, then went ahead and charged my account. At the time of service, they said my insurance was accepted but they did not disclose that they were not affiliated with my medical group, that it has been changed. Back and forth with them and my insurance and now I have to appeal to get my money back. read more

Called in to get a sports physical appointment today. Clerk was able to get me in same day. Got to my appointment a few mins early and was tended to right away. Was taken back within minutes and send by practitioner soon thereafter. Great service, very clean facility and a thorough evaluation by the doctor. Ive came here twice, once to get a second opinion on my thumb for shingles, which they diagnosed correctly as shingles. Second for a strep test. Each visit has been great. I have worked at an urgent care before. They are doing a great job here. Im not expecting to have a personal experience. All I want is to get tested, treated and be on my way. DO NOT COME HERE. I was sent here by my job for a physical and drug test. They do not look at the paperwork. I had already given a urine sample to be tested only for them to tell me I need to redo. Mind you I already went and don't have time to come back another day now I have to sit here and wait to go again. Due to their negligence. Okay I understand now why this clinic has such awful reviews. I had to come here to do a physical and drug screen for a new job and my experience was not the best. 1st, their appointment system is extremely unorganized! I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment and they made me wait almost an hour because their system allows multiple ppl to schedule the same appointment time.. then why make appointment times? That makes literally zero sense. 2nd they only had one person up in the front and she would frequently have to leave the desk to help patients, which sucks cause there was so many ppl waiting in the front to check in, including myself and it was very frustrating. I don't completely blame the workers for that though, they might be short staffed. Although that happened, everyone that worked there seemed very nice and the nurse practitioner that attended me was very friendly and knowledgeable but yeah, I don't think I would come back here. read more

LONG REVIEW!! I normally don't care to write reviews but I have to share my horrible, run around experience with this Carbon Health Clinic location in Rancho Cucamonga. If I could give this place 0 stars, I definitely would. The staff here are very unprofessional and not thorough whatsoever. I have been here 3 times this week, once for the initial physical, urine analysis, TB skin test, and vision test. The very first time I came to this clinic was on Tuesday. They were out of urine strips, so they told me to come back in a couple of days on Thursday so they could perform the urine strip test because the strips would arrive by then, and then they could check for the TB skin read and also redo the vision test because I needed my glasses to read the letters on the wall--which, okay cool, no big deal since I wasn't aware I needed to bring them so I was fine with that. But then, I came the day they told me to, that Thursday later that afternoon just for them to tell me that they still were out of urine strips so I just wasted an hour drive there which is super frustrating because I wish someone would've done me the professional courtesy to call me and let me know that they still weren't available so I would not have wasted gas. I asked them if they could call me to let me know if the urine strips would be there the next day and the front desk associate said she would reach out to me when they would arrive so I wouldn't waste a trip. Friday came when she called me to let me know the strips were there. I went to the clinic, gave my urine, and left thinking that finally things would be done. But no, I got a message from the doctor this Saturday morning on the Carbon Health app stating that I need to come back to do the urine and vision test again. I called the office to see why I needed to do that when I gave my urine because they said the strips were there when I came yesterday. So, the front desk associate places me on hold to talk to the doctor when she finally comes back on the line to tell me that I need to do everything all over again from the physical, urine test, vision test, and TB test because according to the doctor the system that they use does not let them get back into the patient portal to enter the notes from the previous tests that were done to enter new additional notes which essentially wasted my whole time and gas this week making an effort to drive an hour there in long traffic and back home to get this stuff done. This location of staff makes sure they have some excuses handy and ready to use and they clearly don't know what they're doing or how to do their job properly, so I say this to say, don't come to this establishment because it is not the place you want to trust to check you out in regards to your health. I should've known something was off when the first day I came here, I witnessed a patient that was checking in in front of me going off on the front desk associate because the staff made an error on their end for something she needed done. Update: I went to the Carbon Health Clinic in Corona, CA and that location of staff was much better and straight to the point with providing excellent service. They even expressed to me that the notes taken from this Rancho Cucamonga location was, "weird and confusing." I would highly recommend going to the Corona location versus this one. read more

I beg you to go anywhere but here. I've never met such an incompetent Doctor in my life. If you see the name Anna RUN. This woman was so timid and sounded like she had no clue what she was talking about. My husband was forced to go here through his workers comp but after her lack of care we immediately went to Kaiser. This woman was too scared to look at his stitches so she wouldn't even take his dressings off, we went to kaiser and they actually cleaned around the stitches and checked his mobility like she was SUPPOSED TOO. He also found out through Kaiser that he needed to see a surgeon, something she wasn't able to tell us because she did absolutely nothing. She truly had zero idea what to do or how to care for him. She must be new or have gone to the worse medical school out there because she truly seemed like she didn't know how to care for him. read more

My kids got a new insurance so I had to make the switch from the clinics they were used to and find a new urgent care, etc. It was stressful on my end and I came across carbon health through Google so I gave them a shot, my son was dealing with a bad ear infection and I was able to get him an appointment right away which was relieving. I also took my daughter yesterday for urgent care and both times the staff was very welcoming and friendly, the providers paid attention to our concerns and took the time to listen, answer any questions and overall did amazing. The clinic itself is very organized, clean. It was such a relief on my end getting great care for my kids and finding a clinic that I'd even say I like better than the one I used to take them for years. The front desk girl was rude and acted as if she doesn't want to be there. The PA/NP saw me us for 1 minute and scheduled a follow up both appointments were less than 5 minutes total and cost us out of pocket over hundred dollars and they are still billing our insurance. Going on a cruise and I need a covid test within 2 days prior to boarding. They are open 7 days a week, so that's convinient, and they have a whole bunch of locations throughout Southern California. Made an appt for 11am Sunday. Signed in, waited 5 min, got swabbed and was on my way out all within 10 minutes. Lady said results would be back in 15 minutes. Even before I got home, I was already notified that my results were sent to me. It actually took me longer to access my results then for it to be collected, ran and sent to my email. Premature to say, as my cruise is tomorrow, but why would anyone opt for the expensiver test, when the cheaper one ($69) does the same thing? And you get your results within the hour? I would definitely recommend carbon health for your covid testing travel needs!! read more

I made an appointment which I was very happy with getting the same day. I walk in and check-in and was asked to pay my co-pay. I told Britnney that I only have large bills. Its Christmas time and I only have cash on me due to my cards being comprised by fraud. Brittney told me she doesn't have change and just had me waiting for 10 minutes when I finally asked if she was going to check if they had change or if they were going to get change. She told me that I should go into the busy stores with the long lines and stand and wait for change. After waiting a while I tried to go to 2 different stores while waiting in line to be told that they didnt have change. I asked her if she could just bill me after I came back from the two stores. She says " im just going to have to bill you". Im like why couldn't this have just been done in the first place. Also it a small clinic they should have change on hand until the end of the day. The absolute worst. I came in for a TB test. I told them I always (falsely) test positive and asked for the blood test instead of the skin one and they refused saying this had to be done first. I hesitated but said ok because I needed it for a new job. Surprise surprise, my skin test flared up and now they had to do an x ray to clear me. They do the X-ray (no consent, no paperwork, didn't ask if I was pregnant) just did an X-ray. Two whole weeks later I receive a $150 charge when I NEVER authorized a charge from them. I call and they tell me it's for the X-ray but since they didn't have me sign anything, and the charge was UNAUTHORIZED, they would refund me... It's been over 2 months and still no refund. Very bad bedside manner. I came here last month with asthma and allergy issues which they treated but sent my meds to the wrong place and wouldn't correct their mistake so I was without meds for 24 hours. I was still having the same issues the following month and went back. They reluctantly refilled the meds and said that I'll need to see a specialist next time even though I can't get in to see one for two months. They couldn't find my previous prescription or any record from the previous month. read more

Do not go here! Receptionist is the most irritating egotistical weird girl I have ever encountered. She doesn't even look you in the eye or any form you provide. She is very rude and unprofessional. I came here hoping it would be better than concentra. No luck. The front desk employee Itzel is rude. Asks people to have a seat when there are no seats, only 5 seats in the whole waiting room. They over book themselves and do not respect peoples time. I waited 55 minutes after my scheduled appt to be seen. The chairs are too low to the ground for the older folks to be able to get up comfortably. Came in as a walk in and she told me she had an appointment for next day when online they had open availability 15 minutes later and multiple available appointments all day long . When I went back in to ask about this she then booked me for an appointment 30 minutes later. I waited 45 minutes and then she said the system was down and I'd have to reschedule. Absolutely love this place for my family's urgent care needs. There is always availability when we need it, and we never wait to be seen. I know if an urgent need arises, (like for example when my 6 year old son opened up an area under his eyebrow after hitting a shopping cart), I can easily get in to the UC and get him seen and glued back up. All the providers at this location are empathic, caring and knowledgeable. We are especially grateful for Felipe, PA, he helped my 6 year old through the process of cleaning and addressing his laceration. This past Friday on June 10, 2022; My father 78 years old went to Carbon Health in Rancho Cucamunga, CA location to get his Same Day travel RT-PCR COVID-19 Test, spent $200.00, your staff spelled his name wrong as and didn't bother to compare his ID card to check the spelling of his name, we are boarding a flight today at 12:00pm, so unprofessional. I was in another state and just saw his RT-PCR Test results paperwork. What if the Airline and the country he is going to doesn't accept this RT-PCR test results because the names doesn't match his Passport? Please Advise on how you can correct the spelling of his name, so he as it for his travel. read more

As a woman of color I am always fearful of the medical industry. I have experienced severe medical racism to almost the point of death. I say this to say, I am so very thankful for Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Hijaz at Carbon health. They both sat with me and allowed me to explain my symptoms, they ran all the needed tests without me having to ask. They made me feel so comfortable. A week later, I received a message from both my insurance company and Carbon Health stating that I had an outstanding balance. When I looked into it, I discovered it was for a blood test that I neither wanted nor needed, but they ordered it anyway. During my last conversation with them, they essentially told me that "if I want to ensure this doesn't happen again, I need to follow up with them after each visit to confirm that the tests performed are the ones that were actually ordered." I cannot express how dysfunctional and absurd that statement is--and frankly, it's scary. These are medical professionals. I'm generally easygoing, but I strongly urge you not to go here. It feels like a scam, and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't stay in business much longer. read more

Came in for a COVID test with my husband. It was pretty easy to schedule an appointment through their app and they had several appointments available. It was relatively easy to check in and the lady at the front was very nice. Although my husband made an appointment for an earlier time, I was called in first. The NP was very kind and the appointment was quick. My husband waited about 20 minutes to be seen. A few people who came in after him were seen first, although he had an earlier appointment. The lady at the front informed one of the nurses (?) that he's been waiting for a while, but they seemed to brush it off. He was seen by 3 different staff members. The last staff member left him in the room without telling him he was able to leave. He had to walk outside to ask someone if he was done while the 3 staff members were hanging out in the staff room. This is a really nice office, but the staff members seemed disorganized. It would be helpful if they said something conclusive and walked patients out of the room. read more

I have been here a few times, and every time has been a bad experience. I gave it a few tries but their provider's bedside manner is terrible. The other staff is usually quite nice, but you still have to see that awful NP. She does not treat you like a human being. Nurse Practitioner Vien is rude, condescending and snarky and last time I went in, she was completely out of line when I said my daughter noticed something about my vision when I was dizzy and I was asking for some reassurance that I was ok and the NP rudely said, "Is she a medical professional?" and spoke to me like I was an idiot, a child and like I had no business telling her what my daughter had noticed about my illness. I couldn't believe Vien would speak to me like that. I will never go here again. Avoid NP Vien at all costs. read more

I love the ambiance and the staff especially Ashley who arranged my parents appointment over the phone, ahes very patient in answering all our questions and see to it that we Re well taken care of. Waited over an hour for a blood test because, "the doctor is using the computer in the lab room so we can't do any labs right now" the best part was when a nurse came out and explained that the doctor was using the computer, I clarified that it wasn't to do with labs, and that's why I was still waiting. She said it like I was the unreasonable one for asking why I had to wait over an hour to take a drug test that any good urgent could have done in 10 minutes and any bad urgent care couls have done in 20. Most of the people I interacted with were rude. I don't recommend going here ever. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my visit. I had a 10:00am appointment and was able to be seen right after checking in and before my appointment time. No complaints here. I didn't find myself waiting around. The office was modern and clean. I've had many urgent care visits at different locations, but this easily topped my easiest urgent care visit. The staff definitely deserves to be applauded for their efficiency. It was my first visit but it will not be my last. read more

With a scheduled appointment, I sat in their front lobby waiting room for more than an hour. I eventually was called in the back, where I sat in the examining room for 40 minutes. It wasn't until I decided to leave, that the staff became attentive. Also, I called ahead to confirm that they would accept my insurance. They said yes, and upon arrival, they took my $40.00 co-pay. A few weeks later I noted that they charged my card $305.00. How quickly can you say, Ms. Banin Teller, please reverse that charge. And lastly, two prescriptions were to be submitted to my pharmacy. After 2 follow-up calls to Carbon Health and my pharmacist, the prescriptions NEVER arrived.....Interesting!!! read more
