Dr. Cohen has been my primary care physician for close to 10 years now. He is NOT a general…read morepractitioner. He is an endocrinologist, and he specializes in geriatric care. He is above and beyond one of the best doctors I've ever known. The Pros: He is very caring, and he has to be compassionate, because his primary target group are senior citizens. He has the utmost respect for every one of his patients, that I have seen. His staff is generally helpful and pleasant. The Cons: He's a busy man. He has been in practice in the Inland Empire for over 30 years, and has a lot on his plate. He deals with mainly seniors, so sometimes, he's late on his appointments. I have waited for 4 hours before, and it was not pleasant, but I understood that it was necessary. Bottom line, is that most folks who are his regular patients understand that you are likely to wait when you have an appointment to see him. It's worth it. I give him 4 stars his staff...sometimes they're not on their game. But that's life.

Dr. Cohen is a kind physician who genuinely spends time with his patients and never makes you feel rushed during the actual appointment. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The biggest issue is the excessive waiting. It was common to wait approximately 90 minutes in the waiting room, followed by another 45 minutes in the examination room before seeing the doctor. While I appreciate that doctors can run behind occasionally, this happened consistently throughout my time as a patient. The office staff was often rude and unprofessional, and communication was extremely frustrating. You cannot reach the office directly by phone because all calls are routed through a third-party call center that handles multiple medical practices. As a result, getting referrals, prescription refills, or follow-up on medical requests became an ongoing challenge. I frequently had to call multiple times before anything was completed. Another recurring issue was last-minute appointment cancellations because Dr. Cohen was not coming into the office. I understand that unexpected situations arise, and I wish Dr. Cohen nothing but good health. However, these cancellations created significant inconvenience and became another pattern that made receiving consistent medical care difficult. During several appointments, our conversations frequently drifted to topics unrelated to my medical concerns, which often made the visits much longer than necessary and less focused on the reason I was there. I brought all of these concerns to the office manager, who told me he would address them with the staff. Unfortunately, despite that conversation, nothing improved. Dr. Cohen may be a caring physician, but the overall experience with the practice made it difficult to receive timely and reliable medical care. Based on my experience over nearly three years, I cannot recommend this practice and would encourage prospective patients to consider other options.
