It's cool. Nobody knows how long it's been here. The bartenders knows its from when it was a company owned mining town.

This is the "good 'ol boys" brewery in town…read more And I say that with 100% positivity. You'll feel like you're at a big rowdy backyard cookout (don't you DARE call it a BBQ unless yer smokin' meats) that you just stumbled into. The man running the taps, who I can only assume is the owner, is boisterous, friendly, and ON TOP OF THINGS. He'll ask you what you normally drink, give you some samples, and hook you up with the right beer. I tried to give him a card and he just said "just let me know how many you've had before you leave, I trust you!". You really feel like you're at some sort of family get together. Oh, and the views of Rainier from the patio are stellar! Unlike almost all other breweries in the PacNW, this one is not stocked chock full of insufferable, apathetic, hipster and post-hipster types. The crowd here is largely blue collar: truckers and farmers, Carhart and coveralls, construction workers and men-at-work signs. Which, again, is refreshing for a brewery. Beer is for everyone, not just beardos at coffeeshops with macbook pros that "work in tech". My only qualm is that I feel like the beer is just OK. It wasn't bad or anything, but it also didn't blow me away. Most of the beers were a little too much on the sweet and malty side (even the IPA) for what I usually like to drink. (which is stuff that is really pale, dry, and bright) The irony of my sounding like one of those disaffected beer bro stereotypes I just criticized earlier in the review is not lost on me though so...take what I say with a grain of malted grain.

This was one of two really good breweries I visited in Buckley. Like a lot of breweries I've been…read moreto, Elk Head is tucked away in a industrial/work shop location, just off the main highway running through town. I don't know if it's there all the time, but when I stopped in, there's a Mexican food truck in the front parking lot. Once you've seen it it not hard to miss, as it's the only shop with all the doors wide open and a good sized covered patio area. Walking through the entrance, the decor stands out right away, growler jugs, hanging from the ceiling from breweries from all over the country, along with a lot of cool animal wood sculptures and memorabilia for honoring Veterans and history. I believe the bar tender was also the owner or one of them? Very friendly and helpful with the selections. Taking time to answer questions, even on a surprisingly busy Thursday afternoon. Lots of seating throughout the inside and on the patio area. They specialize in unfiltered brews, which I like, as it gives a full flavor to most beers you may not get, if they're over filtered, another one of those balancing acts that those workers of brewing magic deal with. I started off with a Amber lager, full tasting with the crispness of a lager, a flavorful change from the usual amber ales. The place had a cool old dudes vibes due to all the memorabilia and the old van in the shop, but definitely wasn't just an old dudes place, as a few of the younger crowd was enjoying a brew while working remote. Plan on a return trip on a weekend to check out the weekend vibe, try the food truck, and more of their tasty unfiltered beers. I also tried their Red Ale, which was also robustly flavored and went down smoothly. Gotta love those reds! A fun stop while passing through or coming back from some of the beautiful hikes in the area. Definitely have their own style and niche well done. Happy Yelping and Cheers!

**Fill's Growlers: A Beer Paradise With a Side of Delicious Irony**…read more Imagine stepping into a bar so legendary that angels weep with joy at the mere mention of its name. That's **Fill's Growlers**, a haven of hops, a sanctuary of suds, and quite possibly the greatest place to ever grace Enumclaw with its presence. First, let's talk **beer selection**--because this place isn't just a bar, it's a beer wonderland. They have everything from crisp, floral IPAs that taste like liquid gold to stouts so rich and velvety they could double as dessert. Want something experimental? They've got sours that tingle the taste buds and barrel-aged beauties that are smoother than a jazz sax solo. If variety is the spice of life, Fill's Growlers is practically a Michelin-starred spice rack. And the **service**? Magnificent. Nay, transcendent. The bartenders at Fill's are like beer-slinging philosophers, ready to recommend the perfect pint with the wisdom of sages. They are warm, welcoming, and can recall your last order with a precision that borders on supernatural. You'll leave feeling like you just reunited with a long-lost friend--except this friend hands you incredible beer instead of awkward childhood nostalgia. But, oh--the irony. **The deepest, most delicious irony.** For a place called *Fill's Growlers*, one would assume an endless loop of Phil Collins ballads serenading patrons, maybe even a bartender letting out a primal, satisfying growl as he slides your pint across the bar. But no. **No Phil. No growling.** The owner has made it **very clear** that while their growlers will indeed be filled, they will never, under any circumstances, fill your ears with the smooth crooning of "In the Air Tonight." Nor will the bartender indulge your request for a friendly snarl. This is a principled establishment, standing firm against the tyranny of *predictability*. So raise your glass, embrace the irony, and bask in the glory that is **Fill's Growlers**--where the beer flows like poetry, the service rivals royalty, and Phil Collins remains forever uninvited. **Five stars. Ten stars. Infinite stars.** Now, do you think they'd make an exception for *Genesis*? Or is that pushing it?

The space is utilized really nicely across different rooms as well as the yard. Outside they have both covered/heated and uncovered tables. Such a great place to stop and enjoy beer or beer tasting!…read more They offer flights of 4 from the on tap selection which changes frequently depending on the season. There's so much seating in front, inside at the bar, inside at the nook rooms (it's a house converted to a tap room), as well are more outside seating on the side and in the back! The barstools are lovely and heavy. So sturdy and comfortable for being iron and wood. The service is always friendly and welcoming, offering suggestions and will go out of their way to try and locate a beer if you were looking for something specific (they may just have more in stock in their storage area so don't be afraid to ask if you want a beer that you don't see in the coolers for can/bottle purchase). This is just a great place to relax and enjoy! There's food trucks next door but I'm not sure what their hours are. I was there Sunday in the afternoon and the food trucks were closed. But you can bring in outside food anyway and don't have to rely on just those trucks.

I drove by for almost a year, not knowing they changed this sign, thinking it was just "off". It's just so hard to see from the road. Prices are steep, like seven dollars a pint? At the brew house source? The chairs are hard and are all pretty high off the ground. I have a messed up upper spine, and the back gets sore after a while. I can almost never afford the place. I think their hot dogs went up in price too. Don't even get me started on the food truck prices I've seen there, lol. But I tell you what, it can be a nice change from the other grungy bars in town. One time a performer was pretending to be very kind to me. He had got me all excited about going up on stage to sing a song with him, and then said I couldn't, and humiliated me in front of everyone. It was super weird. He seemed like such a humble guy at first. What a creep! Needless to say, with the price, chairs and everything, I rarely stop in. And I always make sure it's before any performers arrive if I do. More into their beer garden events and involvement in the community.
