When the male bartender the owner hired, assists another male, in verbally attacking a 75 yr old local who has cancer, while she is trying to get away from the verbal attack, it's not safe. When people can get thier heads kicked in and the bartender doesn't notice.. and when the male bartender feels he can join in any conversation and berate and call names... it's not a place i want to spend 7$ for a draft beer.. you never know when the draft beer will be there or if it will be cold. Bartenders kick people out on a regular basis and won't say why.. just you are 86 for now... and the owner... oh my. Not one bit friendly or respectful to customers.. I've been to this bar when it was Mike's in 1972, and Carolyn's in 1976, and was there the opening day of the Eager Beaver, but since the owner of City Hall Saloon, Jeff is gone.. it's mean and sad.. no more for me. 53 yrs of frequenting my neighborhood bar is over. read more

If you like dollar taco's and live music this is the place to be on taco Thursday. It's full of bikers and Red Necks so I feel right at home. The music last 2 weeks has been really good and the taco's are the best I have ever had for a taco night. Full size taco shells with plenty of meat and the fixings are there for you to add. All cut fresh that day lettuce tomatoes onions jalapenos cheese sour cream hot sauce. Add what you like.. If it's nice out music is outside with plenty of seating. It gets pretty busy though when nice out. This is my new taco spot on Thursday. The people are friendly and easy to talk to. Just there for good food and drinks. This place earns 5 stars for it's Taco Thursday night! This is one of the best destinations for your Thursday night bike ride! They always have rockin bands, cold beer and all you can eat 2 tacos for $2!! What a great deal. There is also lots of great bikes ot look at and admire! great people and atmosphere. This is an interesting place! A group of us came here after riding in Black Diamond. It's the closest place for food. Therefore, we decided to stop by there! For starter, none of us wanted to be seated indoor. It wasn't a completely sunny day. It was a bit chill. The reason why we didn't want to sit inside was probably because this place seemed pretty rundown! It smelled bad! Outdoor thou, they have a very interesting setting. We took a few pictures there. Service was good! There was only one server who helped 9 of us. Food was ok! Most people got chicken ranch sandwich with bacon and fries. A couple of us got Reuben. And, one got pizza! They have good homemade ranch and tar tar sauce. Both are pretty good! As far as beer goes, there were not a lot of options. I decided to drink water! Interesting place! I really appreciate the history and character of a funky place like City Hall. I would give it 5 stars because of it's old school atmosphere and down to earth clientele but I never eat there so I'm in no position to review the food. This review is to say that if you like funky old biker bars, hard working American folk and friendly hillbillies then this place is for you. They usually have live music after 7 pm Wed-Sun but in warmer weather you can still chill outside by the fire and have conversation. read more

Ordinary looking roadhouse with beer, tacos etc. Swung in to look at a soft tire and cool off from a hotter than expected day up Rainier. Beyond your ordinary wannabe leather vest rebels there's a strong smell of traitor in the air. A buncha "45" hats and some pop country singer barfing out freedom cliches. Give it a rest. I know they serve beer. It was cold. But for company and food, you might as well pick up those and beer at Circle K. read more

My group has only been out here for Taco Thursdays, but we keep coming back; it's the best one around! The HUGE beer garden is really set up well for enjoying the live music, or for finding a quieter place to hold a conversation. The horse shoe pits are a plus, too! On a great sunny afternoon, the view from there is pretty great; I've seen deer & elk moseying around the steep hillside across the tracks from the Saloon. Don't expect too much for a beer selection; they have all the usual macro beers for a bar like this. The tacos are really the draw here. That, and all the incredible bikes parked out front. Some evenings, we've counted over 200 bikes in attendance. It never seems that crowded on the inside, however. You'll also find pull tabs, a pool table, and darts, if that's your thing. The servers are friendly enough. Even though the usual bike selection is the Harley crowd, you won't run into attitudes out here like some places; everyone is in a great mood, whatever your 2-wheeler selection is. Even cagers are welcome, but make certain they are parked on the lower level for Taco Thursday. For a great evening ride, you can't go wrong coming out here; I've never had a bad day in Cumberland yet! read more

Been out to City Hall regularly for years, and even attended Taco Thursdays. It's an awesome ride out to this little dive of a place. Keep in mind, Cumberland is a little tiny area just on the far reaches of The Claw. It isn't everyone's cup of tea. But, they have THE BEST Reuben Sandwiches, and Burgers. Burgers are my 'guilty pleasure' and OH DO THEY MAKE THEM SO NOT GUILT FREE. The staff are fun-loving folks. And, the locals are pretty gritty old farts that are oddly likable. Typical bar-fare menu, bartender knows what they are doing. Countless times going out there and only had one mediocre meal, but always had excellent service. Dart board, pull tabs, pool table, live music on some days, ample parking. Just remember your designated driver cuz on Taco Thursdays especially, there is a cop that likes to hide in one of the driveways at night on the main road. On nice days, they have a great outdoor seating section, and horseshoe pits. A great little out of the way place to get together with friends and no matter how strange you and your friends may be, they will always feel welcomed. A common stopping spot for Poker and Dice Runs and Fun runs for the motorcycle enthusiasts. read more

It was a nice Sunday afternoon and after leaving the river with my cousins and family we thought we'd stop for some food and a beer. We had a child and a dog with us but after seeing another dog on the patio we felt we'd be welcome. However, before we even got to the door a patron started yelling at us, "Don't bring that dog in here - don't you bring that dog in here." We would've spent a couple hundred dollars but walked away before we had a chance because the customers were so unfriendly. Stopped by on a hot day and every part of the place was great. The outdoor patio has horseshoes, an exterior heater, and allows smoking. The inside has a solid wood bartop, pool, a couple arcade games, and an awesome staff. Its historical significance from 1887 is outlined on the menu. Drinks are nicely poured. The bartender B. This is a fun place to stop for lunch and a beer, although the beer is not cold enough. Who wants a warm beer on a hot day? It is an interesting place to say the least. Yesterday we stopped in for Taco Thursday but we came at lunch and the Tacos are not served until 4:00 pm. So I decided to order some of their homemade onion rings (which they were out of), so decided on Chicken Strips (overcooked). My husband had a burger and fries which he thought was really good. This place is off the beaten path. Drinks are affordable and there's live music some nights. Summer time is a lot of fun in the beer garden.
