Jeff and his crew literally rescued us on Mother's Day.... when our airstream interstate GT died on the roadway outside St. Cloud. Jeff quickly responded with a tow despite the holiday and brought us to his amazing shop! The place is wonderful to see especially when u find yourself down and out on a road trip from Alaska. Tim, Jake and June-Marie took the greatest care of our vehicle and us. They immediately set us up with some wheels so we could get by and enjoy the area while they got to work in the shop first thing the next morning. Huge thanks for the care and hard work that was needed to get us back on the road so quickly!!! On a snowy day in March, I put my truck into the guard rail and busted the front axle, 100 miles from home. I couldn't envision my day improving from there. Worst!!!!! Do not deal with them they lie and have attitudes all the time never fix your trucks tell you they don't sale parts even though they do and make you wait months to fix something that takes 10 minutes etc!!!!! read more

I contacted Carco about the trucks they have for sale. Are several discussions made an appointment to come up there and meet with them to pick up the trucks. I thought with Jeff the owner I was coming on a Monday and I got there. The trucks were not ready they were in the shop being repaired. I was told that the truck had a salvage title and that they had to replace a front fender and a hood, I thought it was strange because in my state a salvage title meant that 25% of the vehicle had been damaged. Several weeks later they told me the truck was ready I'll send a driver up there to pick it up. When we got to our shop, we loaded a dumpster on it, and the Galbrath hook system broke upon further inspection. We found out that the truck being rolled over the frame was bent. Hook system was bent, and we cannot use the truck after many conversations with Jeff, the owner we got no satisfaction I returned the truck and managed to get my money back through means that they were dissatisfied with. I would advise anybody that deals with this company to walk away I feel like Jeff is a crook, a dishonest business person, and he will not be truthful with you. read more

Buyers Beware: Found this truck on there inventory page. Got a video walk around and was told the truck was clean, fully serviced with no issues. My transport driver called me and said there was parts missing from the truck and the hood wouldn't close. Jeff at Carco said these issues would be taken care prior to shipping. The truck was delivered without taking care of the issues. The headlights don't work , tires are bald and dry rotted, door keys are missing, engine service was not done, battery box cover missing and both doors had paint damage from peeling off the door decals. None of this appeared description or in the video or photos. Truck wont pass PA inspection. Emails go unanswered about the issues. Now I have to put more money into a truck I paid a premium for. read more

Took our camper that needed frame work straightened out. Tom quoted us $1500 and that he would get it in, in 2 weeks and it would take a few days to straighten it out. 4 weeks later, no camper. Call them to get an update, met with "I'll call you back with an update." Updates never came after repeated calls and instead, "It'll be done tomorrow." Tomorrow comes, camper still isn't done. 2 more weeks and now it'll take a few more days according to Jeff. I gave them a deadline, get it done and I'll be there to pick it up that evening. Pick it up, the bill is only $300 and next to nothing had been done on it! Frame still was jacked and needing to be majorly fixed! Thank you for wasting 6 weeks of my time, Carco. You guys are a complete joke. No customer service at all, no communication, and clearly, no actual service! It looks like a dump when you drive by and clearly they are. read more

** worst experience ever ** Paid $36,000 for a 2012 Ford F-550. We drove 12.5 hours to pick up a truck that was not ready to drive (no head lights and smoking very badly) Richard the sales man said, he would check truck out and fix what was wrong and deliver truck to us. After 3 weeks I got a call from Carco saying the truck was going to be delivered the next day. After the call from Carco the delivery driver called and asked where we were going to meet because he was only paid to drop the truck in Chicago (4 hours from me). Apparently, the delivery drive was a client of Carco and, when he showed up to get his tow truck from Carco my dump truck was loaded on his new tow truck. Carco gave my truck to someone they do not know to drop off in Chicago with no prior arrangement with me. Once I got to the truck the batteries were completely dead. I called Carco to complain and talked to the owner Jeff, he said he would " get to the bottom of this and get back to me" That was Thursday 3-1-18 and I'm still waiting. I have been in business for over 20 years with over 75 employees and have never dealt with such a poor example business ethics. You would be better off spending thousand more than dealing with this joke. Save your money and go with someone else!! read more

My car broke down on my way up to the cabin late at night. I was referred to Carco automotive. They came out at around midnight and towed my car to their shop. It turns out my alternator was bad, but they actually had the part in their used parts salvage yard. They installed the alternator and got me back on the road in a couple hours. Thanks Tom for helping us out! You saved our camping weekend. read more

I called on a Shuttle Bus they had listed on Craigslist. I was told $16,500 over the phone. I was prepared to offer $15,700 upon arrival. They pulled the classic "bait and switch." The price changed to $18,800 ($20,400 with tax, title, license, etc.). I agreed with the salesman upon $19,355 to close the deal. Salesman Brad did a great job (nice guy) discussing his knowledge of the bus. The manager Mike agreed upon the $19,355. A phone call to the owner netted a response of $22,000 plus taxes, etc. I finally offered $20,000 "out the door" including an oil change, transmission fluid drain/fill, and a decent wipe down of the interior. They still didn't do the deal. This shop has poor ownership and utilizes slimy used car tactics. I will not be buying the bus unless they honor the 19,355 price originally agreed upon. It's implied the owner will call on Tuesday. read more
