I need to update my old review of this card shop . All the concerns that I had before are no longer an issue . Like many others have said , Nelson is a very nice man . The only reason I'm not giving five-stars is that there is too much clutter in there right now . I do have to say though , that Nelson is able to work around that as he helps all of his customers and by doing this , the clutter is just a hick-up , not an obstacle . read more

Called this morning and asked about some cards being in stock. The gentleman said they'll be restocked today and come back at 2:30 PM. I showed up at 2:20 and waited exactly 1 hour outside as the door was locked, and the lights were off upon arrival. There's no sign on the door stating any sort of closure and their hours on Google say they should be open. Additionally, the business hours sign on the front door is completely off, giving me no idea if and when to return. I think that answers that question. Why come back to a place you can't count on being open? Call their phone several times, but their mailbox is full and there is no recording with hours or their closure. Fully disappointed. read more

Tried 3 different days to get cards but no luck. Each day I tried between 2-5 pm both on weekends and weekdays and no one in the shop no sign on door to give a clue as to when they would be back and no luck on the phones! This is a huge upset as I used to come in frequently a while back but it seems as if they just shut down. Hours posted online say open but are not please don't waste your time , try calling if you can get someone to answer. Really wish they would update the customer support for this issue because I seen I'm not the only one. Hopefully it changes soon. read more

Similar to other reviews, hours are listed 10-5 pm and it's 10:36 and it's locked up. Like another review said, try not wasting your time driving here only to find it closed. Also whenever you try to take a photo of the hours, the numbers all get scrambled. Ive never seen that! read more

I had a great time browsing through all the cards, which brought back fond childhood memories as I sorted through each athlete. Wow! What a great experience I had at the shop. I came in after inheriting my late father's collection. I had roughly 1000 used topps 1960s cards, and they held no sentimental significance to hang on to them so I started my quest, really knowing a thing about the potential value and condition. I spent a few days sorting, researching them on Ebay by recently sold and found that I was not interested in continuing the project and was not willing to take the time to individually sell. I brought my two older sons to look at cards and the customer service was great. The person working was busy but kept checking on them. They have a great selection from old-present cards and a ton of packs to open. My older son bought a ton of older baseball cards and the owner gave him a great deal. Today I went into Card Pavilion to sell a few cards of mine and check out their cards. They had a good selection of cards. But apart from that Nelson, the owner, and Brian, his employee, were both very approachable and knowledgeable. I was hesitant to let go of my Kobe auto card that I'd had since I was a kid. But the interaction with the owner, and the reasonable offer made me willing to let it go, along with other cards of mine. Spent 45 mins picking out cards through the random boxes scattered across the store, only to be told I'd have to come back later after waiting for them to comp each card. What a disappointing experience. I came by on National Baseball Card Day as I had received a promotional email from Topps and thought it might be fun to rekindle one of my childhood pastimes. The owner was nice enough to show me a few new things so I made a small purchase to dip my toes in the water. Topps' marketing worked on me as intended and I soon found myself wanting to tear into some more packs of cards. Tried to go back today and had an awful experience. The owner now closes the store at 2 PM and has not updated the information on Yelp or Google Maps. I showed up at 2:15 and the owner said he wouldn't be able to help me. Honestly, I think he spent more time trying to explain why I couldn't make a quick purchase than it would have taken to just help me out. It's so unfortunate to see shop owners who just do not value customers. read more

Great little card shop. I was able to pick up a bunch of singles and stars for my 1975 Topps Baseball set. While I was there some guy got a Heritage Red Signature Ohtani out of a pack! I also bought a Trout Transcendent out of the case for a good price. Lots of gems here for sure. read more

Hadn't been here in years and thought about going in again since it was great multiple times prior. Upon walking in it was boxes and boxes just everywhere, ultimate mess, and the young bearded guy working ignored me at all costs. I asked if I could go through the boxes that were everywhere and he told me with attitude "you can but they aren't for purchase"... He tells me there's 4 boxes I could go through with everything being roughly .10, which was awesome and like most card places. I found 20 cards I liked and once I was ready to cash out he takes them and starts looking them all up on eBay. 10 minutes later of waiting he tells me he has a list of what everything is worth. Prices ranged from $2-40, let me remind you that he said they were .10 and being someone who has collected for years I can tell you they were not worth the price. I told him I didn't want anything except the two and he responds "then don't make me do this if you're just gonna get two things." Rude. If you want to get ripped off and treated horribly then this is the place. As I was leaving you could hear him snap back at a kid who was excited to get packs himself. This place has gone downhill and there's alot more baseball card shops in the area, ones who won't take advantage. read more

I really liked the old owner . With the new one , I have been in there five times and today was the last straw . He doesn't have prices on most of his stuff so he just comes up with one off the top of his head . Which is fine , until I realize he keeps jacking up the price on me to the point of he just doesn't want my business . Today he was quoting prices for other people that were okay but the quotes for me were like 2.5 times what they used to be . So I guess , if he likes you it's one price and if he doesn't it's much higher. read more

Owner was a d*ck, to me the whole 10 minutes in their, are you arrived with the intention of selling more than 5000 cards for not even $.30 a card but thats not even the point. I mentioned how I was a new collector and I feel like that led him to trying to take advantage of me like if I had no knowledge right and I had a bunch of LaMelo balls and Anthony Edwards and a bunch of other good rookies in mint condition sleeved up and top loaders. So I was asking for the price they had sold on ebay and he offered me like 20 dollars less mentioning " Ebay anyone can post anything for a million doesn't mean that it sells for a million" . I was trying to keep my patience so I lowered it and he was just ignoring me when i had all my cards out and wouldn't even guve me full attention and he just walked away and didn't say anything , I was over it at this point and just to see how he was I offered him my Justin Herbert for Dirt cheap and he said thats what it sold for on ebay I cant do that and I said "But its not even football season and its like a stock that is going to go up " and he looked at me surprised that I knew that and he was like yeah your right , he was just so disrespectful I will never go back and everything is so overpriced, he had boxes that go for 30$ on offerup for $100 and he has some graded cards listed for 600$ and on ebay that go on ebay for $200, And when i mentioned that he knew i was right but said he thinks the price is gonna go up, so in my head hes a hippocrite because when i was saying my lamelos and anthony edwards were gonna go up he didnt even acknowledge that. the owner doesn't value new people to the hobby or try to be friendly, Doesn't even try negotiating or listening to what you have to say. read more

I was in the area and visited this store. The experience was not pleasant. I love card shops. For me, good quality card stores are like cardboard museums. I can stay for hours looking at, and chatting about, sports cards. The owner of Card Pavilion and a group of customers didn't acknowledge me when I entered. I was obviously going to be on my own. I appreciated the locals hanging out and talking about their team. There was a bit of a "Cheers" vibe to it. At the same time, the space was crowded and the display cases had bodies in front of them, so I wasn't able to do what I love, which is take my time to graze the displays and look for gems. I tried to add to the conversation, but the response was not friendly and the fact that I was an outsider was made very clear. What I saw from the inventory of singles was mediocre at best. The selection of mid- to high-end prospect and rookie numbered and parallel cards was extremely limited. I noted that prices on unopened product were about the going rate. Bottom line: I felt unwanted at Card Pavilion. I have needed supplies since that visit and have opted to other sources. I will not return. read more

Save yourself a visit. Selection is the bare minimum: random singles and junk wax, and marked-up modern-day junk singles/packs. Customer service is pretty much non-existent as well. No point going here when eBay has a wider selection and cheaper prices. read more
