Would have given five stars if the host had followed up as promised, but I should have known better when they didn't before check-in. This place is great for somewhere to sleep and near the beach. But if you're looking for clean, well-maintained, "as pictured" listing, this isn't the one for you. I paid nearly $500 a night for the experience you will read below. Before I arrived, the host offered early check in for the day prior. I declined due to flights but asked if we could check in *two hours* early and was willing to even pay for it. They kept promising to get back to me. I followed up myself three separate times across almost a week timeline and still didn't get a straight answer. Finally - the day before check in I had to blatantly ask for a straight answer instead of AI mumbo jumbo. After offering a 24 hour early check in, they declined my two hour request the day before check in, and only gave me an extra hour. Before check in I also asked about the pictured beach supplies amenities on their listing. Not available. I had to send them a screen shot of their own listing photo with the description THEY wrote stating "all the beach supplies you could need" before they finally said okay. But that was a joke - on arrival the beach supplies had trash in them and the cooler was covered in orange gunk. Didn't even use them. The kitchen doesn't match the listing photos. Some amenities are available some are not. Found some sort of cleaning fuzz across the bottom of the stove. The state of the barstools looks borderline bio hazard. I paid almost $2600 to have family stay with me, but I slept on a broken bed, had a broken blow dryer, and woke up every morning covered in sweat, even with the AC on. Some of the windows don't open to help cool down. I'm a host myself, and I would never allow an experience like this nor would I be confident in charging almost $500 a night. I left them a good review on AirBnB because after telling them all this - they promised next step follow ups. They never did and waited until the refund time period was over before addressing any concerns. They stated everything was taken care of "after my departure", but their listing photos are still inaccurate. Good luck getting real responses or your moneys worth. read more

Having them manage those projects removed a ton of stress from our plates during a time when we were also planning our wedding. We also worked with Kathryn, Cardo's in-house interior designer, on the interior design. She did an excellent job transforming the space while staying within our budget. Since launching the property, the team has kept us informed every step of the way. Their owner portal is easy to use, making it simple to track bookings, revenue, and guest reviews. They also handle the tax side of the business, which has been another huge benefit. The listing itself looks fantastic, and while it took some time to build momentum, we've been booked solid throughout the high season and have received overwhelmingly positive guest feedback. The most rewarding part has been knowing that so many families and groups have enjoyed staying in our home. We are incredibly grateful to the Cardo team for helping make this experience such a success! read more

Don't use Cardo. I forget to say that my experience with Cardo service has been extremely disappointing. Their lack of proper tenant screening and management has resulted in multiple issues. Firstly, they have a tendency to allow last-minute tennis without adequate screening, leading to disruptive behavior, such as frequent parties and disturbances. Additionally, their exorbitant management fees do not justify the inexperienced individuals overseeing the properties. This has led to a series of negative experiences, prompting us to prefer, leaving our property vacant rather than entrusting it into Cardo. Of the most concerning aspects was their negligence regarding noise complaints. Despite noise violations being the primary concern, Cardo dismissed them as normal levels without any substantiation. Upon requesting access to the noise sensors we paid for it was discovered that they were either unplugged or out of battery. This oversight reflects the lack of accountability and diligence on their part. In summary, Carlos mismanagement has not only resulted in a poor experience, but also raise serious, doubts about their professionalism and commitment to their clients interest. One star is generous for the level of service they provide. read more

Truly enjoyed the stay at cardo's place in Ocean Beach (San Diego). The brand new kitchen was absolutely fantastic! Wow --beautifully done with a very large island--much nicer than the picture showed. They had everything a person needed to cook a nice meal or even make some cookies if you wanted (as they had a hand mixer too). The outside patios were very nice and relaxing and there was an awesome hammock and comfortable seating for the whole family on the lower patio. The firepit was also enjoyable to sit by on a chilly evening. They had 3 patios--all very nicely furnished. And, if you had children or wanted to spend time on the beach they had a whole shelf of beach toys and beach chairs available...they thought of everything. One highlight worth mentioning was the garage....parking can be challenging on the weekends so we were delighted to have access to the garage. Also greatly appreciated the good communication and welcome text with instructions for the home. Super helpful and welcoming! Cardo vacation rental helped ensure we had a great vacation! read more

recently rented out through VRBO, a cute little unit for a good price. I was looking for a nice little getaway and found it. The unit is located to the left side of a home where you enter through a white gate door. One of my favorite things about this place is you don't have to worry about losing a key for instead of a regular lock it is a passcode locking mechanism. I actually prefer that style. Everything is shifting and comfortable but the only downfall I would say (and this could be just because I am 5ft. 9) and the beds are really low to the floor and the couch is comfortable but not meant for tall people. But I have managed to roll out of it and isn't too bad. With that said though, the mattress and pillows are so comfortable I have been able to lay down and fall asleep and it's hard for me to want to get out of bed due to the comfort of both the mattress and the couch. So all in all, the place is perfect for my little getaway and would definitely book this place again and tell others about it as well. read more

After beach time and lunch, we would head back to checkout how the guys were doing in the tournament. Unfortunately, the TV went out, but the management went out, bought a new one and had it installed in no time. Now that's service! Thank you. We will be back!We had an amazing stay at Beach2Bay. The cottage was incredibly charming, spotlessly clean, and conveniently located. It was during The Masters golf tournament weekend. After enjoying the beach and having lunch, we would return to the cottage to check on the progress of the tournament. Regrettably, the TV malfunctioned. However, the management promptly responded by purchasing a new TV and having it installed in no time. That's exceptional service! We truly appreciate your attention to detail. I stayed with cardo vacation rentals for several nights. The place I stayed in was quite, spacious, with garage parking. It felt safe and well equipped with everything you need. The team does very professional efforts to make customers happy. Jacob communication was great with clear shared instructions for self check as it took me no time to be in the apartment that had two bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The apartment location was great and close to everything and had nice big windows. Overall, I highly recommend people staying with cardo vacation rentals. I stayed at the one wt park Blvd paradise. I also had no additional charges which was concerning me as a first time user of abnb, I made sure to leave the place as good as received, so I assure you that Jacob and his team don't have intentions of charging you after your stay like others on different platforms. read more

I stayed at one the properties through Air BnB managed by Cardo. Initially, I thought I had an issue with what was listed and what I was receiving. However, I ended up speaking with Jacob on the phone, and he cleared everything up. We proceeded with the stay, and I couldn't be happier. One thing that made this a more than above average stay was Jacob explaining to me how everything worked within the home and giving me brief run-down of the area. Rich and his team were great. Very prompt with responses to any questions I had. House was definitely a unique place- the layout was one I've never seen with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a group of 16. He even allowed us to stay in the cottage right near the pool so that we could space out comfortably. The bigger hangout spaces included of the pool which was AMAZING (especially the heated component) and the 2nd floor which has a pool table room and a fireplace room. The property was also huge with plenty of background options for pics! Just a few recommendations I would make is to have towels and bathmats in the bathrooms and maybe some bath amenities for the guests. Besides that everything was great! read more

I was in constant phone contact with Rich, the owner, who worked tirelessly on countless occasions to help salvage a short term rental of mine in San Diego, all while I was living in Montana. We rented a house in San Diego for a month. The day we moved in we noticed the propane tank on the outdoor grill was nearly empty and the prior tenants had left the trash cans full to over-flowing. We called Rich who was instantly on the spot with a full propane tank and a truck to haul off the trash. Later, we had a problem with the TV remote. He showed up the next day with a new remote! Later still, we had a couple of appliance issues, both minor. He had a repair guy there the next day. Rich and his company are quick, responsive, efficient and effective. Stayed at one of the properties in El Cajon. The housr was beautiful and well maintained. It had the amenities and utensils needed as well as easy access to tv options and heating and cooling for the rooms. Parking was a bit hard on some days but that is more a San Diego problem.
