I came to Night Light for my son for an allergic reaction. This lady sat at the receptionist desk and watched us get out the car. Once we got to the door she continued to watch us for atleast a minute (door was locked) before she decided to get up and come to door. She opened the front door slightly, poking her head out, with no greeting and looked at my mother and I without saying a word. I asked the lady if the urgent care was closed. She rudely stated "yes, we close at 9. " I pointed at the door which shows closing hours are at 11:00 pm(mind you, its just 10:19pm). She responded with "we've been closing at 9 for some time now". Before I could say another word, she slammed the door shut and walked away. Now I get businesses have the right to close and open as they see fit, but being rude and nasty is not the way to get your point across, especially in front of a six year child whose watching. I was worried that the wait was going to be a while, because my son has been vomiting. But, the wait was less than 20 minutes even though there were 4 patients ahead of us. The customer service was great, everyone was friendly. Also, the physician that saw us was very caring and took her time to answer my questions. Very rude! Canceled my appointment b/c I told that how I felt about this process of the child sitting in the car for 2hrs. What's the point of calling it URGENT CARE if we aren't seen urgently. The continued to not give me and estimated time for my very sick infant to be seen. All I asked for was an estimated time. Whoever answers the phone from 6pm on Tuesday Nov 30th needs to go through another training course. She was very rude and didn't help through this horrible experience. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It's an absolute joke. This is not the first time I have had serious issues with them. My daughter had a virtual appointment today at 10:30am. Further tests were needed. The dr said this location was open and they would contact me shortly to schedule a same day appointment for the test. After the call I got a test message saying the appointment was scheduled for 4pm today. When I showed up it was closed. I called another location and they said "sorry, sometimes when we don't have enough people to work we have to close." Which is fine but not when I get a text message from the company scheduling an appointment for the same day when they are closed. This location had not been open all day. Why I would get a message scheduling a same day appointment is beyond me. I forgave them last time, mistakes happen. Not this time. Don't give them your business. I've been coming here since my son was a baby, but I forgot one I had a newborn baby girl. The place is nice and convenient for me, the staff is nice with the exception of the nurse that walked me and my baby to an exam room. She was rude and unprofessional and that's why I gave them 3 stars instead of 4. The nurse practitioner was great and friendly. I'm beyond disappointed and frustrated with this clinic. I brought my 3yo son in to see them in March. He had apparently put a berry from a bush in his ear. The daycare was fearful of making the problem worse, so they did not touch it. Rather, they called us. Our normal pediatrician's office was closed due to the time of day this happened; therefore, I brought him to the NightLight Pediatric. I have been there before and had decent experiences with regard to the common virus, cold, etc. This visit was very different. I will spare all the details. The gist was that the nurse practitioner attempted to treat something that she was ill-equipped and untrained to do. She attempted to wet it and flush it out because she said it looked like earwax (even after I told her he said he put a berry in it). He screamed and cried the entire time, while we/they had to hold him down. Her last ditch attempt was to use a tweezers and pull it out, while he was held down and fighting the entire time. After literally 2 hours of my son screaming and crying, she gave up and suggested we see a specialist. When I reminded her that offices were likely closed on Friday (Good Friday), she said, "He'll probably be fine. You can call an ENT on Monday." I called my ENT on Friday hoping that they may be open and/or have an emergency line. They thankfully answered. He said that this was emergent and could absolutely not wait until Monday. He came in on his day off and saw my son. My boy was so traumatized from the day before, he could hardly let the doc see in his ear. After a quick look, it was determined that he needed surgery that day. I spent the remainder of they day at TCH waiting for an operating room. Thankfully, the surgeon was able to remove it. It was pushed so far in that it was touching his eardrum and there was an impression in skin of his ear. I suspect this was from the previous days attempts to flush and/or use the tweezers to pull it out. He also said that the berry would have expanded. Had I waited another day, my son would have likely lost some of his hearing and had to have his ear flapped down/over to get it out. The PR person contacted me to check my satisfaction with the Urgent Care and I expressed my displeasure. He said he'd look into the situation further. He offered to help in any way should I experience an other problems. He gave his number. As if all of this wasn't bad enough by itself, I then received a bill from them asking me to pay for the "failed" procedures. I contacted the PR person, and he said he'd look into it. I never heard back. I have made multiple attempts to have this rectified by him and the billing department with no avail. The PR person keeps telling me he is looking into it, but I feel that this is going no where. read more

Went to Night Light for the first time tonight with my son. They were definitely focused on making the environment comfortable for the kids, the walls had adorable paintings, Phineas and Ferb was on the t.v. and there were plenty of books to read. When we went to the room we saw that it was also very nicely decorated and even had glow in the dark star stickers. Lupita, the nurse, was patient and sweet. Doctor Gentles was so thorough, patient, and kind to my son. She listened to us and made sure we didn't leave with any unanswered questions. I would highly recommend choosing Night Light if you need an urgent care center for your child. read more

After a horrible experience of taking my daughter to the ER one time someone recommended I take my daughter here. From anything to ear infections, fever, or minor injuries this is my go to place! They have an awesome online system to where you can reserve a spot in line but they do also accept walk-ins, I've done both and I am very pleased with how fast we are taken care of. All the nurses and doctors are very nice, I highly recommend coming here. Their hours are amazing, they are open way past my daughter's PCP practice so I know if we run into anything unexpected in the after hours we know exactly where to go. Thank you! read more

Took my daughter to this horrible place on Monday evening due to her having a severe allergic reaction to something unknown. They charged me $170 and gave her some benedryl and sent her home. On the next day the reaction had worsened and when I called to explain to them what had happened they told me if I brought her back they would charge me another $170. Please stay away from this place they are fraud and rip people off!!! read more

I had to take my 2 yo into urgent care last night. The ease of the visit was very accommodating, I registered online. Only 2 forms to fill out, greatly helpful when you have a fussy, sick, clingy toddler on your hands. The wait was minimal and the had Sing playing on the TV!! The two ladies at the front desk were pleasant from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we walked out. The provider is very good with toddlers as well!! read more

Never called in our medication. We visited on a Thursday night because our usual Urgent care was closed. We were seen pretty quickly and they even gave my son a dose of meds to hold him over until we could get his prescription. When I went to pick up the prescription there was no record of it. Night Light never sent it over to the pharmacy. We missed a dose of antibiotics and no explanation on why it was missed. read more

Life saver! I've been to this location twice with my 16 month old, both times, they've been super efficient , quick and friendly. I love being able to count on this urgent care when my son is sick on a Sunday and his pedi is closed not to mention, I don't have to worry about being billed at a hospital rate which we all know is wayyyy higher! The NP we saw during his second visit, I believe her name was Cheryl was amazing, she took the time to listen to all my concerns and took the time to answer any questions my husband and I had. Arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment time as requested to find that the officer is closed. I also just received the text stating that my appointment time is here and they will not be able to hold my spot if I don't show up. This place is AMAZING!!!! I took my daughter there tonight because she had hurt her wrist and everyone was SO sweet to us! We where a walk in and we where able to be seen right away. The drs where VERRY knowledgeable and helpful! They found out that it was almost her birthday and even gave her a balloon and goodie bag.. on top of ALL that my daughter mentioned that she was hungry (it was around 7pm) and they gave her some snacks. I have used their online appointment system and booked an appointment at 6:08 for 6:35 and I was able to get in and out before my actual appointment time! Our daughter had a high fever so we rushed over. The check in was ridiculous. There was no sense of urgency. Not sure why it's classified as an "urgent care". Terrible service. I had to ring a bell to even get someone behind the desk. It was 6pm on a Friday...the lady took forever to get our insurance filled out and took forever to type in our info:fill out forms. We would've been better off driving to another urgent care, an actual urgent care, in the time it took to check in. Also they need more knowledgeable staff/nurses. Nurse took a temporal measurement of temp on a tiny baby-clearly not accurate. A basic internet search states at her age, rectal is the only thing that's accurate. I made them take her temp again correctly. It came out way higher. I got better answers and guidance from our pediatrician's after hours nurse line. Don't waste your money, and if it's somewhat urgent, go somewhere else. read more

1. Long waiting more than 1.5 hrs before seen by a nursing practitioner (note not a certified doctor); 2. Requested ibuprofen from front desk who promised to get back in five minutes but didn't get it in 30 minutes and my son went to 104 degrees while waiting and I ran to HEB pharmacy a block away and get back 10 minuets before they asked if ibuprofen is needed. 3. Lab cultivated strep test will come back 3 business days! If infected they just let it brew because of the inefficiency. Whole experience is very disappointing.
