Dr. Daniel Beer is an exceptional vet and absolutely recommend Care Pet Clinic. Located in Olde Towne East (on East Main Street), they service Columbus and the surrounding areas. I am so lucky to have them less than a half mile away but would drive over an hour to come hear if needed without a doubt. I have been going to Care Pet Clinic since roughly 2003 or 2004 and between my partner and I they have taken care of three of our pets over the years (cats & dogs for us). This visit was Ellie's annual check up and labs, so a routine visit for our little beagle mix. Well not some much little since we got her weight but no judgment and we will blame it on her precious face, her daddies and Covid weight. This was a nice and easy visit and it is amazing to watch Dr. Beer work and handle her through the examinations and vaccinations. It was almost effortless and wish such care and our pet has quite the personality. Parking off the side and a few spots by the entrance. There is a large waiting room in case you need to space out and keep some distance. I highly recommend Care Pet Clinic and they take such good care of your pets. I look forward to many years of supporting this business.

This place is a rip-off...I have been bringing my puppy since I got her in June 2024.. 1st couple of visits were ok with the female Vet..Today really pissed me off... .Of course, she gets her shots.. Then the male doctor..Dr Beer) whom I had never seen before today, suggested heartworm pills.. I asked how much are they he said about $4.00 a pill.. He suggested I do about 3 or 4 pills to start her off. I said ok... Get to the front to pay and find out they charged me $52.00 for 4 pills.. Called the front desk to inquire about the charges and was told oh they cost $13.00 a pill...On top of that our last visit Bella had a Ear Infection/ yeah ok..paid for medication for that. He did not recheck her ears...I guess an examination means getting her weight and listening to her breathing.. The female vet checked her out all over...Ears..mouth..butt..paws etc... Today,... $167 ....I wasn't told I would be charged for pain meds..Rabies tag insurance fee...and he clearly lied to me about the cost of the heart gard tablets... I will never go back and I suggest you don't either. $25 for an office call!!!!..$25 for an examination... I knew I would have to pay for the vaccination. Almost $200 is ridiculous...just noticed they have the wrong BREED! On her paperwork. .....I'm convinced most of them are money hungry. Take you pet elsewhere.....

We have been clients of Dr. Beer for years. He has not only treated 2 generations of our Eskies, but countless foster Eskies. We can not say enough about Dr. Beer's compassionate care. His staff is wonderful.

For years I've been using this vet for years, and have referred many people to them as well, because I thought they cared about the pets and owners. Just yesterday i tried to get my dog's maintenence medication filled at another pharmacy because Apoquel is super expensive and I found it at a much more affordable price elsewhere. I was then informed by this office that i would have to pay them $25 to allow me to do so. That's AWFUL!!! NO OTHER VET DOES THAT!!! Shame on you Care Pet. Especially now with the way the economy is.

Rosco on left Toby on right brotherly love! Thanks Dr Beer and staff!

Thanks Dr Beer as always! Toby thanks you! He is doing better ... we know the procedure is helping him to be with us longer! You were 1050% right! He was the fragile one but that did not mean not good pup. We kept him instead of switching breeder for another pup! Best decision ever! Going on 13 years of joy with him! 7 years of which he is diabetic again your expert care and here we are! Toby is my precious and we appreciate you amd your staff! I recommend you to anyone and everyone in need of good doctor fir their precious! He is truly the best! Caring and not charge an arm and a leg either!

It was the first time taking my puppy there and it went great. I liked that Dr. Beer was a very welcoming and a friendly person not only to me, but to my pup. He showed a lot of interest and knowledge about any questions or concerns i had. The only thing i would say i disliked, is the building itself. It is quite old and could use some repairs, but that doesn't affect the great service that was provided!

During our initial contact while I was sobbing on the phone, they were extraordinarily patient in obtaining our information and setting up the appointment. Our assigned vet, Dr. Nellie, was amazingly gentle and took us step by step through the process. Being able to say good-bye to our beloved cat at home was so much easier on us than having to transport her in her cage to the vet's where she would be in a cold room and we would have to go back to an empty house. We were able to sit in her favorite chair and hold her while she looked out the window. While we waited for the medication to send her off, Dr. Nellie clip tufts of fur and took an impression of her pawprint for us to keep. When our sweet baby was gone, Dr. Nellie brought in a wicker basket covered in blankets and helped us transfer our sweet girl amid the blankets before taking her to be cremated. I can't say enough about this wonderful place. I know they also provide pet hospice services for animals who are terminally ill, but not at the end of life. I highly recommend them.

That being said, it's clearly stated on the application that it may take 10 days to hear from a volunteer and that's exactly how long it took for me. Once I did hear back I was then put in touch with the foster mom, who was absolutely wonderful! We communicated on a regular basis. We met at a park, we then scheduled a home visit, and we then adopted the most AMAZING boy! All of that happened over the course of a few weeks, but that's not out of the ordinary at all. I was also told by the foster mom, right up front, there was another family interested in him and going through the process as well. So if they would have won out, that's just life, regardless of how far I was in the process. Most of these dogs come from really bad circumstances, so an exhaustive process to find the perfect home SHOULD be done and they SHOULD be picky. I couldn't be happier!
