We were referred to lap of love through our vet and I spoke with Dr Jeremy on the phone initially. He was so compassionate and patient as I was sobbing throughout most of the conversation. He helped me talk through the difficult decision to let our sweet boy of almost 15 years, Moose Lee go. Dr. Jeremy discussed his quality of life, options, as well as the process and even website navigation. He as well as our own vet felt that euthanasia would be the most peaceful option for end of life, but the quality of life scale on the website made my husband and I feel additionally more comfortable with the decision. Their hours of operation are flexible and are open late on weekdays to schedule and even on weekends to speak with staff. They were able to send out Dr Jennifer on a Tuesday early evening and she was friendly, kind, and so very compassionate. She helped our beloved angel cross the rainbow bridge with as much dignity and peace as possible. I would recommend them to anyone in need of this service.

Dr Nellie turned a painful decision into a peaceful experience when I had to say goodbye to my 15 year old dog.

This vet used to be good. In the last few years I noticed there was always a new young Dr instead…read moreof Dr Bishop there. I didn't think too much of it until they kept recommending unnecessary expensive procedures! I felt like they were out to get money, not care for my dog! Being seen by so many different docs every appointment how could they assess her accurately? Most recently my dog was seen by Dr. Thompson. The exam visit now costs $72! Just to walk in the door! Dr. T gave her allergy meds that had negative side effects & weren't working. After a misdiagnosis of my dog who was actually getting worse, 5 days later they wanted another $72 exam plus $240 for X-rays & $??? for tests! A second opinion from a new vet yielded a collapsed trachea and a bad infection that needed antibiotics not allergy meds. No X-ray was needed, just good vet experience! I was told to stop the prescribed meds from My Vet because they were not necessary! My dog has also has been suffering from a disease that NO Dr. here ever diagnosed before! There is no Dr. on call here over the weekends- they'll tell you to go to MedVet! It will take them until 2pm Monday to even return your call & don't get me started on the incompetent receptionists they have here! I found out that the Bishops sold their practice to MVP! Dr Jill no longer works there & Dr Dan is only in on T&Th. You'll get an inexperienced new Dr. if you don't ask! And shame on the Bishops for not letting their clients know that they sold out!! Not one word - no email, newsletter, nothing! I do not recommend this place at all!! I now drive 25 minutes to a new vet who actually cares about my pet!

Everything was very good for a year until they forced us to put 2 vaccines plus a "comprehensive…read morewellness examination", for a total of 105 dollars (see attached), I explained to the lady that I only want to do the vaccines recommended by law, which is only rabies. To put more than that can cause diseases like autoimmune..She was angry at me, nobody to reason about that.. please read articles about that before making the dog owners to put more chemicals in the little dog's bodies. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/8572826/ns/health-pet_health/t/still-vaccinating-your-pet-every-year/

He was there from Saturday until the following Friday. When we picked him up the girl told us that he had almost peed on his bed that is ruined now because it is filthy from I don't know what???? and that he had pooped twice in his cage and had walked through it so they had to clean him up before they gave him back to us!!! Well after we got him home, upon further examination of our little guy we discovered that he was covered in feces!!! We were like WHAT THE HECK!!!! It was all up and down his legs and there was some on his ears as well!!!! Here's what I think happened....THEY DID NOT pay any attention to him and I do not think that they even checked on him while he was there from Saturday after they left for the day until they came back on Monday!!!! I think they didn't check on him hardly at all while he was there!!!! I think he basically slept in all of the filth that they were too lazy to clean up!!!! He was quite depressed as well when he got home!!!! I feel sorry for all the other dogs that were there as well!!!! Wondering how they were when their owners came to pick them up!!!! If I could leave a ZERO star I would because they certainly DO NOT deserve any because we do not believe they know how to care for our babies that are boarded there and We WILL NEVER board our baby there EVER again nor will we be using this veterinary clinic for his wellness shots any longer...so dissappointing!!!! Hope and pray that no one else has to experience this and they do better in the future!!!!

On the whole, this is a group of caring vets. When it comes to animals. Or at least we thought. We…read morewent to them for 2 years. However, Dr. Rausch made a rookie move in business. He lost a client because they didn't follow through on their promise to us was which was: Bring one cat in to be treated for fleas and we'll approve your online prescription for the other cats. I called two weeks ago and told them we needed a prescription the cheapest way possible through chewy.com or petco.com. Since we hadn't been in for awhile they told us to just bring ONE cat in to get the prescription. BAIT & SWITCH! We came in and spent $120 for a visit (to tell us something we already knew) and get treated for fleas. Then they backpedaled and Dr. Rausch decided that he was going to hold our prescription for RANSOM. They would only cooperate and write a prescription if we bought our bulk order from them. Overpriced. Without integrity. And in Dr. Rausch's attempt to "do business" he immediately lost a client. He'll try to say he "broke up with us" first to save face. It's not true. The fact of the matter is, a good businessman would focus on the health hazard, need, and ways to cut costs for their patients during times of out-of-control inflation. We would have been happy to order our treatment through them if they gave us a competitive price. But there was no such offer. They couldn't beat our $639 bill apparently. Greed never brings positive outcomes. We tried to get our prescriptions approved twice based on the promise given to us which turned out to be a false premise just to lure us back in. The second time our prescription was rejected they lied and said they hadn't didn't have our cats on record. Check again! Seraphina, Kojak and Miley all had their vaccines. So on top of everything else they lied for no other reason that they were salty we stopped coming to them often and they didn't want to help out! Atrocious to power trip when someone has a serious flea problem. Take accountability when someone in your office says they're going to do something! Doesn't matter if you agree with it or not. My advice to pet owners in this are: Save your money and vote with your dollars elsewhere. Arlington Vet Clinic is profit over patients. And there is no accountability. They are dishonest and there is zero accountability.
