Do not go to this one! Web Check Ins are supposed to take precedence over walk-ins but not when you have sat there from open to after lunch time. I asked do I need to go online first for web check-in (bc other CareNow's told me to do so) they proceed to tell me no, I can walk in. I get here just for them to say I have to do a web check in. However since its in the last hour of being open for the day, they can't help me at all today even if I now do the web check in. My visit to this place was Friday June 19th. We were able to do web check in and be seen fairly quickly. I was surprised when I was told I had to pay for COVID-19 testing as my insurance has confirmed nothing should have come out of pocket. They'll be sending a check for reimbursement. Imagine if I couldnt pay, I would have not been seen and it was important for us to get tested. Today it is June 30 and it's now going on 12 days of waiting for results. Since we've been of work with no income coming in I've had to call CareNow to ask about results. Apparently I should have been contacted between 3-5days instead I'm contacting them. The last 4 days I've spoken to Latoya whom I'm assuming works the front desk, sound bothered with am unpleasant attitude when I call, last couple of times I called she actually told me "we dont have anything and we have nothing so just (sigh) wait until we call you because it hasn't been more than 7 days" (it's been 8-10)tone was rude, then she just said "I'll just transfer you to the back office " and then I spoke to a Nurse by the name of Anna who was super nice and helpful and gave me more information that what I had asked for. I'm sure they are busy with many patients coming in and that is overwhelming. Latoya has very poor customer service. We will not return to this facility, just visited another one today and oh my what a difference, they actually care and symphatize with you in Waxahachie!! We are definitely new patients and will keep our files here, here they verified my insurance and only paid $25 for office visits and not the test!! read more

I've been going to this CareNow for the past 5 weeks for an on the job knee injury. I have seen 4 different doctors and the only two that actually gave me the time of day were Glaze and McKinney. Smith and Nguyen were both extremely rude and short with me. I was blatantly ignored and/or cut off whenever I would try to speak. Nguyen not only forcefully groped the wrong parts of my injured leg, he also demanded I sign a work release form that he had not yet (and refused) to discuss with me. I understand that these types of medical centers are usually very busy, but I don't think it is too much to ask for a doctor that actually treats the patient with common decency and respect. I will not be returning to this location despite the nice doctors I did see... this place wants to get you in and out, and apparently demands signatures on documents that you don't get to discuss. Dr. Nguyen is, hands down, the most unprofessional medical "doctor" that I have ever come across. If you like being aggressively groped and ignored, this is the place for you. read more

The wait times are very long, even after you do the web check-in. The ladies at the front desk were nice, and so were the nursing staff...mostly. But I can't say the same for the doctor I was seen by. I went in three times in a row due to health issues. The first time I went, I was dismissed with a regular flu. No major doctor saw me at that time. I went back after the symptoms didn't decrease and I was feeling a lot worse worse. They didn't have the main medical doctor there, but I did see a trainee. She noticed something was wrong and ordered a chest scan. She asked me to come back a third time, where I first met Dr. Nguyen. The interactions were a bit off, with him being kind of "smart" at me, but they finally diagnosed me as having pneumonia and gave me some medicine. I went back again a fourth time when I kept coughing things up for a whole month, and Dr. Nguyen made a "joke" about me being there so often. Well, I would prefer to not have to, considering it's my money coming out of my pocket and the pneumonia wasn't diagnosed until the third time. I finally got the treatment that I needed, but it took so long to actually get there and the journey to wellness wasn't really pleasant. I question if it was worth going there rather than going to a different clinic. Save yourself the questioning and go somewhere else. read more

if i could give no stars i would. i needed to get a C test done for my sister and I. in order to do so, i had to wake up at 7 to get in line for my C test. I selected the 10am and the 11am. I arrive at 10am, i call, and i get told it's going to be an hour that they're other patience's ahead of me.. so i wait it out. i call at 11a and i get told another hour or an hour and a half. once again, i wait patiently. i call at 12 because now i'm sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours. I call again at 1pm because at this point it's just getting ridiculous. they tell me i'm next in line, they're just waiting for one patient to leave. i see a total of 5 people walk out and leave. i proceed to wait for their call another 30 minutes. I'm losing my patience now, so i walk in and ask what is going on and nobody has answers for me other than "we're waiting on patience's to leave" .. please explain to me what is the point of waking up earlier than i need to SCHEDULE an appointment for then to wait around for 4 now. I'm just here for my sister and I to get a C test. a stick in our nose, them to put it in a bag and send it off for testing. To wait 4 hours is absolutely ridiculous. there is NO point to schedule when they just have you wait beyond your time. If i schedule a dental appointment for 10am i'm expected to be there at 10AM! not 2pm!!! I have things to do with my day than wait around. I'm sitting here and waiting still and 5 workers are just sitting around chit chatting like nothing. this is a horrible ran business. oh and good luck getting ahold of anyone to get results back!! 06-19-2018 I'm only giving it a ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAVE TO. The receptionist are horrible. They give you inaccurate waiting times, tells you you're next, and yet you still don't get called. You finally get called to the back only to find out they didn't even put you in the system to get a drug test, so now you're waiting more before you can actually come back over to the other side and be seen by a doctor. 06-20-2018 new update Second day back here because i had to leave after waiting 3 hours. Checked in at 9:03 told there was an hour wait (i was fine with that) told i could leave, and they'll call me when to come back. They called me at 10:13, i was already in the parking lot waiting, came in and sat in the lobby for about 25 minutes, finally got called in a room around 10:40, was asked questions, had my vitals checked, nurse left and no ones been back sense. I wish I could give this place zero stars. We're currently sitting in the waiting room as I write this review. We've been waiting for 2 and a half hours and have watched about 20 people go in before us; over half of whom have came in AFTER we arrived. Obviously, we didn't get the memo to make a "web appointment." I thought the idea behind "urgent" care is that things happen; you get sick suddenly and you don't think about making an appointment 4 hours before you get sick in order to get medical attention. Monday night Went to carenow because I was having flu like symptoms, coughing like crazy, throat scratchy, green mucus, felt horrible, I was tested for covid and strep and came back negative, was told to sit in the room, 10mins later I was told to sit in the waiting room fir discharge paperwork, no nurse or doctor came back to say hey your tests was negative, maybe it's this and that, and I'll prescribe you this and that. Nothing I got no communication, not even a prescription for any of my symptoms, I called to speak with the doctor was on hold for 30mins so I hung up, called back the next morning at 8am the nurse says she will send the doctor a message, called at 5pm when I got off and nurse tells me that he will respond within 24-48hrs and here it is Saturday still have the same symptoms, coughing is worse, mucus is still green, tried over the counter for my symptoms and not working, sob when I talk, wheezing. Not yet has anyone reached out to me. I am a healthcare professional and communication is the biggest thing for a patient, and now I know how it feels when a patient complains about service because I was treated the same way at this location. read more

Yes, I had to wait to be seen even after the web check in. I understood that there was a flu virus outbreak and I would still have to wait once I arrived there. I realized Care Now staff was doing all that they could to provide for sick patients. I was dizzy with chills, hurting with flu like symptom and just needed to get better. I was a little irritated because I knew, I caught something from a coworker. Care provider Nicholas Glaze approach was compassionate and caring to me. He was very knowledgeable of prescription and natural medicines. He also mention two jokes to make me look up at him. Then I laughed and realized he was different. I feel he should establish a private practice so that I could bring my family to be under his care if they needed it. He was great. I wouldn't have known by the behavior of the nurses and docs because they were still moving slow (which is something I'm trying to get use to in Texas, slow moving, talking, acting people) as though the lobby wasn't almost fully packed!Came in at 8:30am and it was a 2 hr wait ok fine! My visit was complete by 1:50pm! Over 3hrs to administer a breathing treatment, chest X-rays and shot in butt! The people did apologize for the wait as though it wasn't normal and I appreciated that. The physician I saw was ok, but I cannot give them higher than a 1 star. Their receptionists are just rude. Seriously, Ana, get your act together. I don't need to hear you gossiping with your other receptionist friend while I'm waiting. And for goodness sakes, speak up. When I tell you I cannot hear well, that means you need to speak clearer and face me. You getting snarky doesn't help. I'm not done yet. My wife got into a car wreck and we decided to come by and checked in at 2:20. It's offically 4:25 and I'm still sitting here. Literally just had 2 people come in after us. I asked where we were in line and they kept saying next, etc etc. I understand people are busy and things get backed up, but people come here cause there is pain, discomfort and generally are having a horrible day. This is the worst staff we have ever encountered. Everyone was rude, from check in, to the nurse to the doctor, named Nguyen or something, who is supposedly the Medical Director of the facility. Usually in my personal experience, staff example and attitude trickles down from the top in business. Regardless, our ill fated encounter began with the smug and hostile receptionist, I believe her name was Sandy, or something. She had dark hair and sits directly as you enter the building. WATCH OUT!!! She was rude, aggressive, argued with clients (ever hear of customer always being right? Or customer service?), and also violated the HIPAA rights of another patient in the waiting room by indicating towards a lady and telling one patient that this other patient was "just here for a drug test" .Really??? HIPAA is a FEDERALLY protected privacy right. If I was that patient, I would have been very upset that my private sensitive information was announced to the other waiting room patients, and basically anyone within ear shot. Isn't that illegal?? I guess Care Now doesn't train on privacy laws. Makes me question MY OWN privacy with this visit, and reason enough NOT to ever return. It also puts me on "high alert" about submitting this comment, as someone with that kind of attitude is capable of retaliation, but patients need to be warned. This is serious, and I WILL BE MONITORING my health and credit card information, and if I feel any retaliation for reporting this, I will pursue action. The public has a right to know, and I will BET there are many people who have endured being talked down to, or rudely, by this receptionist. My family member brought me, and neither the nurse who checked me in, nor the doctor wanted to hear ANYTHING that they had to offer, and in my opinion, when someone is sick enough to come to Urgent Care, many times the family does, in fact know the patient well, and has a good idea of the patient's overall health and current illness, and in fact, may have valuable information to contribute that may actually HELP the medical staff. If the family member BRINGS someone to urgent care, they KNOW what is wrong, because they BROUGHT THEM! And yet neither the nurse nor doctor was interested in hearing anything the caregiver says. If someone is SO sick to pay for urgent care visit, they may forget some of their own history, or how sick they have been, yet doctor and nurse dont "Care" to hear ANYTHING the family may know. Compassion and thorough care at its finest. I will bet any of these Care Now staff members would, themselves, have something to offer if it was THEIR OWN family member. I wonder how they would feel if they brought their child to urgent care, HEAR the staff violate the privacy law, and dont care to hear about what THEY have to say about the patient. The receptionist, in particular was the rudest person I have met in a long time. She definitely does not belong working with sick people, or really any type of customer service. Besides the HIPAA violation she committed about another patient to the waiting room, she "snapped" at another person in the waiting room and was rude to an innocent older lady. I dont know if she has family problems, personal finance problems, or what. I DO know she is in the WRONG JOB to be dealing with vulnerable, sick people, and whatever her problems are, she has no business treating patients like that. She is a really bad example for "Care Now" and its reputation. Not to mention legally, with privacy violations too. I am sure she would not like HER personal info about something like an HIV test, shared in front of the waiting room of strangers. I only gave a 1 star because it was the lowest rating YELP would allow on this site. I am ACTIVELY warning everyone I know that the receptionist tells other patients their personal medical issues, and cannot be trusted with CONFIDENTIAL information, and that the nurse and doctor have no interest in hearing from the patients family members about the patients illness. Care Now was definitely not "Caring". We will not return to this location. Hopefully this location's staff behavior is not indicative of the entire "Care Now" philosophy. There is no excuse for treating patients this way, or for violating patient privacy. Care Now needs to train their staff about the LAW in regards to patient's right to privacy, and train the nurse, if that is what she was, and doctor to LISTEN to what the family says about the patient, and to realize the patient's family KNOWS the patient, and value the information from the family members about present illness. Not only will I not be returning to this location, I will definitely warn any patient or family members and Friends NOT to use this facility BECAUSE of the staff, and patient privacy concerns. Unbelievable! They didn't call for the web check in and did not call me in for my appointment. So they gave my time away and kaughabled and said I could start over. No other solutions were offered. They only provide urgent care if you manage to catch them. They have lost me and everyone I can go out of my way to influence away from them. read more

These people are so kind. I walked in the door 30 minutes before they closed and Erin was at the front desk and actually seemed happy I walked in, rather than dread the last patient. Lynn took me back to take all the normal pre-doc stuff then sat me in the room. She was very quick and efficient, plus she's a kind person and knows how to administer a shot in the most painless way possible. Last but not least. Doctor Shannon. What's an amazing woman. I made the visit for a weird rash on my left arm, which a steroid shot fixed. But she noticed my anxiety and talked with me for a good 10 minutes maybe after the office was closed. I've wrote a very positive review of the staff and docs at this locations 6 months ago and gave them 5 stars (see below). HOWEVER, the last experience was unacceptable. My daughter had an appointment because she had a really bad sore throat. The visiting doc, not the usual staff docs, ordered a strep test (which came back negative) and prescribed 3 meds for a "virus." After $75 copay and $100 in meds, she got worse. We took her to her primary care doc and she was diagnosed with full blown flu. She's on the mend, but I'm so frustrated that she wasn't checked for flu at CareNow. I believe this clinic has good people in place but the ball was dropped this time. Not sure if we plan to return. I have always used the Web check in and have never had a problem or delay in being seen once I arrived. The staff has always been very friendly and courteous. The Dr's have been great! Very attentive and going the extra mile. If they can't help you they will ensure to get you to the local ER as quickly as possible for your condition. Recently during a visit, I did a web check in to ensure they would be ready when I arrived and I could get checked out fast, after waiting around 15 minutes a nurse finally took me into a room and did my check up and said the doctor would be in shortly. After waiting over an hour in the room I asked and the doctor finally came in and rushed the examination not letting me finish answers and dismissed it as allergies and assinged me steroids and a grab bag of random perscriptions and sent me out. A 2+ hour visit to get some inexperienced doctor just throw steroids at you. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Don't go...unless you wanna wait for 5 hours. To be fair this was my 1st time ever going to an urgent care clinic (hopefully my last). I thought I had the flu...checked in around 1:45 pm. Informed by a lady at the front desk there would be like a 3hour wait. Umm...what (doesn't sound urgent to me) anyway I agreed filled out the paperwork. Returned to paperwork and sat down, 30 minutes went by the lady called my name (I thought wow that was fast). Went to the counter and she asked if I was quoted a time, yes I was. Anyway she said "we'll call you back within the time you were quoted". Like what...keep in mind I'm sneezing, coughing, sniffing...what am I supposed to do? So I left went to get some soup, I didn't have the energy to do much more. So I ended up going home. The problem was with the process...they didn't even call me back. I had to call them after 3 hours and 45 minutes. Front desk lady said yeah you can be on your way. Went back checked back in and was told we'll call you to the back SOON. Came here against my better judgement and ONLY because Primacare across the street was closed after I got off work. So I brought my daughter here....the place it's self is ok. The office staff was friendly enough..nothing to rave about. The one star review is for Dr. Nguyen.....this is possibly the rudest Dr I have ever encountered in my life. He ask you a question and then over talks you when you try to answer. He will not thoroughly listen to your complaints and makes assumptions on what he hears in his head. Which is nothing you have said or half of it because he was over talking you while you were trying to explain your problem. I don't understand why he stays on staff there. Is he all they have to choose from?? He gave my daughter a pill that he says would not make her sleepy. The pharmacist told her not to take it at all during the day because it was stronger than a benadryl and would surely put her to sleep. If you must go here call before hand and see if he is the only Dr on that day...if not ask for another Dr. If so, don't go. read more

I have NEVER written a review but after my my experience tonight I am so over care now! I was unable to see my primary care doctor so my husband decided to do a call-in for care Now... We received the call at about 630 that they were ready for me to come in. When we got there it took still about 35 minutes to be brought back once we were brought back to a room it took about an hour for the Dr. to even come in. After telling him I had just been tested for strep throat and the flu both just an hour before coming in, both being negative he proceeded to tell me that he was going to do flu screening anyway. He came in about 40 minutes later to tell me that the flu test was negative. I had informed him originally that I did not think it was the flu because my chest felt heavy and it was hard to breathe, I thought it could be pneumonia. He then told me that they would do an x-ray to check to see if I had pneumonia. Another 35 to 45 minutes later a x-ray technician came in to take my x-ray. The x-ray screening came back positive for pneumonia so I was told that they we're going to do bloodwork and then give me a shot and I would then be able to go home. But needed to come back the following day for a follow up appointment. When the nurse came in to draw blood we asked her how long would it take for the blood test to come back, she said 7 min. After taken my blood she asked if I needed anything, I told her water and she just never return. My husband had to go out and ask the front desk for a cup of water. I had been coughing and having trouble breathing for the entire time I was there. At one point a nurse came in to ask me my name... It is now 9:58 PM and I am just now leaving. Not only did they have POOR SERVICE, they forgot I was there. The lights had already been turned off in most of the building and when confronted they tried to smile it off and say they did not. The office closes at 9 PM!! I pray my health is never again left in the hands of Dr. Elvis Ngyia. read more
