My insurance (Oscar) recommenced dr chuong as a pediatrician. After waiting. 1 hour in the office it turns out that he is not a pediatrician. We also did not get to see him we were assigned np or pa. They were very careful about copays but not so much about basic communication. Office was very old and cramped. There were no kids in the office at first. The staff looked stretched thin. TERRIBLE SERVICE & RUDE EMPLOYEE. I came here to get my ear wax removed. I was extremely uncomfortable and had a lot of pressure built up so I scrambled to find an urgent care so I didn't have to go to sleep with this pain. I walked in at 7:50pm, they close at 8. It takes less than 5 minutes to do ear wax removal. As soon as I walk in the front desk lady tells me "aw man I was just about to close the door" and I apologized for walking in at the time that I did but made sure she knew I was only here for ear wax removal. She was nice about it. There was latin looking man in the back who said "walking in 5 minutes before we close is crazy" this man is the same man who cleaned my ear out. When he came into the exam room he stormed in very aggressively and very clearly angry. I tell him nicely "please be gentle with the irrigation because I get very dizzy" he then proceeded to tell me "I know what I'm doing.". He was impatient, rude, aggressive, and left me extremely dizzy even after I told him I needed breaks in between the irrigations. During the irrigation i apologized AGAIN for walking in 10 minutes before close to the doctor and the nurse and the room was dead silent. This field of work is meant to serve the community. Help those that need helping. This man lacked that passion/respect for the field he is in and the workplace. I do not recommend coming here and i recommend they train their employees to be respectful at ALL times. I don't understand why you'd decide on a career choice if you lack the passion, empathy, patience, and professionalism. Shame on them for this sort of experience and treatment. read more

I went in to get my hand stitched up on 06/06/25. They were nice initially as the front desk person took my insurance and payment. Once I got to the person that was going to stitch my hand otook one look and said that he couldn't do the procedure. He told me to go to the emergency room. I stopped by the front desk and I was told I couldn't get my refund of $65 copay although no work had been done. She then said that she would contact the manager and told me to call back as I left for the emergency room. I called back on 06/09/25 speaking to a different front dest person telling me I should have tried to get it on 06/06 and I told her I did. That young lady called me on 06/10/25 leaving me a voicemail saying the manager denied my request for a refund because the male nurse did take a look at my hand. I tried filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but they are not accredited with them. I will never go that particular office location again for nothing. My bank is going to reach out to them. Everyone avoid them and don't give them any business until they do right by their customer. Called the office the day before as directed by my job. Me: Do I need to make an appointment. Clerk: Well, our wait is about 2 hours. So you might want to try Arlington because they rarely have anybody." Me: "ok, I'll make an appointment." I completed the online paperwork for an 8:40am appointment on June 27th. Day of Appointment. I arrived and there is one person waiting. I'm thinking, "why would she tell me that there will be a two hour wait?" After checking in... Clerk: yea, so we don't have an X-ray tech right now. Arlington might have one, but I'm Not certain that their machines work. Matter of fact, I know Desoto will have one because I sent several to them yesterday. And you don't need an appointment, they have walk-ins. After driving to Desoto, they refused to see me because I didn't have an appointment. I told her that I was sent from Cedar Hill. With only two families in the waiting lobby, they still refused until I made an appointment for another date. So, I walked out and drove to a better community and location where machines work and who are willing to have enough empathy and level of professionalism to help people who are feeling well. read more

I went to the one in cedar hill and the wait time is horrible. I was there for more than 3 hours and that was with an appointment. And I only came for a covid test. Everything in the office looks very old and outdated. Place is understaffed. Do not come here unless you want to wait for hours. This is the worst experience at an UC center visit I have ever been to.and there was only 2 people when I got here. Staff including dr seems to have no sense of urgency. I changed my mind on the pharmacy and the medical assistant slammed his pen down w a deep sigh and obviously frustrated face and upset because he had to change it.also there is no privacy at all. I was able to hear every single thing the dr and patient were discussing in the next room very clearly.by the time dr finally came to room after 3 hours it was after 8 closing time and i can even hear some of the workers saying goodnight to each other as they left. Had a covid test.. I was misled and lied to that the result would be out within 2-3 days and it took longer than normal.

The office staff cannot think on it's feet or solve simple problems. My husband was seen this morning at 9:30. As of 5:00 pm we are still waiting for the complete prescription to be filled. When I went to pick up the prescription from the pharmacy, I was told that only one medication was called in, which I picked up. I called the telephone number listed on the PrimaCare documents. After waiting some 40 minutes, I was told that the PrimaCare facility that treated my husband had computer problems and that the main office would contact the clinic to be sure that the prescription would be called into the pharmacy. After a second call to the main number, I went to the clinic to request a physical prescription to take to the pharmacy myself. I was told by the young lady at the desk that she had no way of knowing whether the pharmacy ever receives the prescription. If this is true, how does the clinic follow-up for the patient? If this is true, why doesn't the clinic send a physical prescription home with the patient? The girl clearly understood the problem, but had no solutions for the patient. I asked for a physical prescription to take myself. A helpful service to the patient would be to offer to FAX the prescription in so that it would be ready when I returned to the pharmacy. No, I had to ask her to FAX it. So sad that patient service is not paramount at this clinic. So unsatisfied with the service. I will advise my health care provider. read more

One gentleman made an appointment and they told him it would be a two to two and half hour wait and he made an appointment. I'm done with this place. I just never know what to expect from this location, from rude/dismissive front desk to long wait time. I'm not sure if working their sucks that bad that the turn over is fast and there isn't enough staff, but y'all have got to do better at communicating with patients. Came here (walk in appt) for an ankle issue on a Wednesday evening. Had to wait for an hour, then was told the visit would likely be $150 because of insurance. After that hour wait, i was taken to the nurse for vitals. Had to wait another 20 mins to see the doctor after this. I described to the doctor how my issue had gotten worse over a span of a few weeks and how i was in increased pain. The doctor did a very quick check and questioning before sending me for x rays. After x rays, i waited another 20 minutes, for the nurse to come in and said the doctor said i didn't have any broken bones, which i knew already, and that it was likely just a sprain, which duh. She then said i was good to go with a prescription. The doctor didn't even come back in to explain what she saw on the x rays. Didn't explain what could be going on with the instability or increase in pain over time. I didn't get any recommendations for exercises to strengthen it. I didn't get any other suggestions outside of "rest it and stay off of it". When i told her my job doesn't really allow for that, i was told try the best i could. It wasn't until i was visibly frustrated with the issue at the check out desk that the woman at the front went back and got some exercises for me to do and a recommendation for PT or a possible MRI. I was also charged $50 more than anticipated. So basically $207 to confirm what i already thought, and no recourse of action to actually make things better, and overall poor service. The only positive was the front desk attendant actually appearing as if she cared about how trash this whole situation was and trying to help the best she could. I appreciate her. I'd rather use Webmd than come back here. read more

I was there for my brother to get a sports physical, as we came in they didn't greet us, which honestly i could care less, then we asked the nicest way possible how to check in. She said just scan the QR code and check in. I noticed she doesn't call people when it's their turn, if she doesn't see them she takes them off their list. We we're waiting in the car while my mom was inside waiting. When we least expected we were last in line after having to check in again. FRONT DESK SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I was the only person when I got there and the wait time wasn't too long, but could've been better. The doctor (Dr. Ronda L. Beene) was really nice but the nurse that did my vitals was very rude and aggressive. He didn't tell me exactly what he was doing and when I asked questions the answer wasn't informative. I ended up waiting 45 minutes for him to come back in the room after they said they were going to give me a test. But they did not inform me they were drawing blood and when the nurse finally came in, he was very aggressive and in a rush and even busted a few gloves he tried to put on because of it. I felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable in this situation. If the nurse would've communicated better with me and not rushed so aggressively, I wouldn't of had anxiety in the situation. Waiting nearly an hour after they directly told me they would be taking a simple test is also ridiculous considering it was 10 in the morning and I was one of the one few people there. read more

Walk-in for a chronic cough. Receptionist wants to charge "more" because this is an urgent care. I pause and she then said, I can use your office visit benefit since you have 4 office visits per year. I was the only patient and waited in the room 20 minutes for the doctor to review my chart?? I'm a new patient. 5 minute exam for allergies. No one told me I was discharged until I have to come out and ask if I could leave. I was later billed $60 for the visit. I paid because I did not want to ruin my credit. Go to a private practice rather than retail medical center next time. read more

My daughter went in to PrimaCare (Cedar Hill, TX) at her boss's request to get checked out because she was having some diarrhea. She came home with a $289 bill, a stool sample kit, and a letter saying that she shouldn't work for 10 days with no reason/diagnosis given. So she not only lost $289, but also 7 or so workday's income. But that wasn't the end. A couple of weeks later, she received a $420 lab bill from Quest Diagnostics for four different stool analyses they did. We thought it was a mistake, and should have been included in the original $289 bill. Today I called PrimaCare this morning and left a message because no one was available to answer the phone. I tried calling again periodically throughout the day. No one called me back. On about my sixth attempt, I got through to a live person, who put me on hold for nearly 10 minutes. I then got to talk to the front office person, who transferred me to the back office when I asked if our daughter was asked if she really wanted to go ahead with the stool analysis, since it was going to cost about $400. The back office person said that they have no idea what the costs are for lab tests they order (!!), but they did tell our daughter that it would be a "separate charge." I asked them why they couldn't give an idea of the price, and she just kept saying that was the lab's domain, and they didn't have a pricing sheet. I asked her why they wouldn't want to be more helpful to their customers than that, and request approximate pricing from the lab so they could inform customers. She didn't have a good answer, but just kept repeating the same things. So our daughter went in to be checked out for diarrhea, came away with a letter saying she couldn't work for 10 days (so, lost income) and bills totaling over $700! (She has insurance, but the deductible is $1000 -- so this is all out-of-pocket.) There never was a diagnosis. read more

My daughter needed a physical for sports. We signed in online at 3:30pm and was instructed to be at the facility at 4:45pm for her 5:00pm appointment. It is now 5:56pm and we are still waiting to be seen by doctor. So I asked the medical assistant why sign in online and still have to wait to be seen once you arrive? I was told there is one physician for all the patients in the waiting room. Next time I will make sure to go to her primary physician instead for a scheduled appointment. read more

I checked in online early morning when I realized I needed to go in. Had an 8:00 appt but I arrived 5 mins late and someone was already ahead of me. I still got back quickly within 10 mins. The staff was pleasant. Computers were down temporarily but customer service wasn't and they more than made up for it. Physician Assistant (Last name Laws)and another sweet lady who took vitals & took me to my room were both great-wish I remembered everyone's names. A Pittsburg Steeler fan (like my hubby) gave me a steroid shot and she was very sweet as well as the lady at the counter. I would certainly go back. I left there with prescriptions to get me on the road to recovery. It means so much to walk into a place feeling lousy and walk out feeling like others cared and made you smile. read more

Went there on Sunday because my daughter was running fever and had a severe sore throat and the provider on duty told me she had seasonal allergies and prescribed her Zyrtec. I asked her to give her a steroid shot and she flatly refused. She was extremely rude and unprofessional! The absolute worst provider I have ever been to. Took her to her primary care doctor on Monday and she was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection and was given a steroid shot and put on antibiotics. Helpful for urgent or moderatr care when you dont have a doctor or you cant get an appt sooner. Better than using Texas Health ER down the street ($$$$$$). They now use appointments like Carenow so they may tell you to come back at 2 when its 11. They use PA who can be hit or miss but they try to help and wont break the bank. If they do miss the diagnosis and you return within 48 hours, they should not charge another office fee for their mistake,..is my only grip. read more

I really like Dr. Beene is great! She took the time to explain things to me and listen to my health concerns so I really appreciated her advice in return! The front receptionist doesn't really to seem to know what she's doing and when I asked her a question about my medication, she had to ask the doctor for the answer... I'm not sure what her qualifications are though so that may be totally understandable. The wait was about 20~ minutes when I came in without an appointment. You don't need to have insurance for this clinic and it's not to pricey for those without. The nurse (LVN) is pretty good as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to a friend who wants to be seen quick and with or without insurance! read more

I had to have another Covid test to be able to visit my 97 year old Dad in nursing home. Made appt online for 2PM Sept 30. Was asked to arrive 15 minutes early, which I did. Was told they were running behind when I turned in my paperwork. To say the least! At 3 PM the 1 o'clock appt. had not been seen. At 4PM the tech tried to call me on a phone different than the one they had been texting me on for two days. Luckily I checked back in and was taken in. The triage tech was very nice and did what was required of him. I asked if he was all alone, he said yes, doing all triage, initial information collection, Xrays, and running tests. Put me in a room to wait for Dr. to bring swab. Half hour later she came in. Again very nice, but totally overwhelmed. Had to wait again for the one tech to get time to run the test. This location (Cedar Hill) is terribly understaffed for their volume. I spent four hours getting a five minute screening. I cannot do that every week as required for nursing home visits. You're in and out and not stuck sitting in a room behind closed doors waiting for a doctor to come in to see you, unlike Grand Prairie Urgent Care. Was there 2 hours and still hadn't seen the doctor. I truly believe they forgot I was there. WTH is that about. I will be driving to Prima Care in Cedar Hill from now on. They get you in and out without the long wait. Places like this can make or break your experience long before you get to see a doctor. I called in prior to my MIL's appointment. Not only did they get her name wrong (which I spelled) but the attitude of the front desk gal (Montresa) when we checked in was awful. She talked to all the customers like we were subservient to her. She had no need to use manners or any friendliness. They knew she had been seen less than six months ago and could've checked her insurance info prior to our coming or while we were in the waiting room but instead made her wait in the exam room until they could verify it. The tv was playing an animated movie WAY too loud (and their were no kids in the waiting room). When the dvd was over they let the menu screen play over and over. I think this is a type of torture they banned in Guantanamo . Finally a really nice aide turned the movie back on to end the menu loop. This was my first time here and the experience was great. I checked in online (recommended), got my text 30 minutes ahead of my arrival time, and waited less than 5 minutes after completing paperwork. The office staff, the nurse, and Dr Beene were friendly, timely and professional. My diagnosis and discharge paperwork was explained in detail and my prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy electronically before I left the building. Everything was clean and tidy.
