Total scam, they will bill your insurance professionally instead of as a facility so they can soak you. It is all one place and they used to bill as a facility where you need only your co-pay. You are better off going to a real ER and call any doctor and get better service. When they bill professionally, you have to pay your co-pay and it goes to deductible. Odd observation: place looks tiny from the outside, borderline cavernous on the inside. Checked in online at 8am, they called us when the room was ready. Took us bout 10 min to drive there, waited bout 2-3 min, then we got our room and we were seen. I'm not used to online checkins, being from the DC area, as we don't have those there, but it's a cool concept if you live in the area of an urgent care that does this. They called us three times to confirm that we were coming in. We told them each time that we were driving in and would be a little late. Recently moved to Texas so I don't actually have a primary care doctor yet so when I woke up feeling sick I panicked. This location is a 5 minute drive from my house so based on convenience I decided to try them out. Their online system was a breeze. I entered my insurance information and basic info in no time. I checked in online so that I wouldn't have to wait too long in the waiting room. Shortly after checking in I received a call from a very friendly young lady letting me know that everything checked out with my insurance and that they had a 45 minute wait and would call me when I should drive over. I got a call about 30 minutes later telling me to head over. I checked in and waited about another 30 minutes in waiting room (sucks, but not that big of a deal). Front desk, nurse and physicians assistant were very friendly and accommodating. Left with a few prescriptions and a great scratch and sniff Dora sticker for being such a great patient :) Will definitely return again if I'm in need of some urgent care. read more

I also like the fact that the facility is clean, organized and right off the bat you know what your looking at with any crazy charges etc. Their effecient and make you feel a little better when all you want to do is crawl in a small black hole with a bucket of Vick's Vapor Rub and have your own Twister pitty party. I have used this location three times; twice for myself and once for my son. Each time we used the web check-in and were done in less than an hour and a half. When visiting my PCP I'm usually waiting 2 hours to just get into a room, to only then sit and wait another hour+ for a 15 minute consult/visit! Although CareNow's cost is substantially more than my co-pay with my PCP, it is soooo very worth it. The convenience, friendly and prompt service is something to take notice of in the healthcare industry. The staff is always polite and the Dr's (the true test) were knowledgeable, friendly and took care of my and my son's needs each and every time. They even followup with a phone call to see how you are feeling and if you need anything futher! Having their services available definitely gives me peace of mind. read more

First of all I saw the low rating but decided to go ahead and give it a chance. Front desk was rude and rushed through everything. Got there at 2:30 and finally roomed at 3:40. No problem, I know there are many patients there. I kindly stepped out and told someone that I needed to leave by 4:15 to get to my job and the person that I spoke with was one of the providers. She was the RUDEST person and completely condescending stating " I am no where near getting to your room, you can just come back another day if you don't want to wait" At that point, I was going to just leave because it was 4:10 but the manager stepped in and asked me to sign an AMA form. Immediately I refused, if you guys don't care that I may have a contagious airborne disease because of exposure, I'm not signing a waiver so CareNow is in the clear. By that time I accepted to wait a little longer to get bloodwork drawn and by 4:30 I just left. Just go somewhere else there's plenty of urgent cares with people that actually care about your health. Came in and sat down waited for 45 minutes watching people who came in 3 minutes ago go back while i stayed still waiting. After 45 minutes of waiting i asked how long until i am to be seen to the nurse at the desk and a simple reply of a hour and a half wait as of now and would i like to sign in... this was the same nurse i had spoken with when i walked in. I waited over 90 minutes for a pre employment drug screen. Choose somewhere else. Anywhere else. The waiting room was loud and dirty.

For starters, I walked in (my first time), and I was not greeted by anyone at the front for probably five minutes while they did other things. It was busy in there- I understand. But all they needed to say was, "Hi, we'll be with you in one moment if you'll wait right here." But nothing. So I stood there, uncomfortably, not knowing if I was supposed to just wait there...go to a different side...get the hell out... Eventually a decently friendly lady got me going with my paperwork. After that, two different ladies with whom I interacted were very unprofessional and unfriendly. I finished my paperwork and was waiting for someone to come back to the front desk. One lady returned to the desk. I looked up, and she had her hand out, silently signaling for me to hand her my paperwork...not a huge deal I suppose, but something as simple as, "excuse me sir, I can take that for you," would have been 100% better. Eventually, the lab tech called my name, and I got up and smiled at her (she just looked at me). She continued to say absolutely nothing to me as I walked through the door (having no clue what direction to walk). So I finally said, "Hi! How are you??" I know that not everyone's personality is a 10 on the bubbly scale, and that's fine. But basic friendliness is a must if you're going to interact with other people throughout your day. Went for a non DOT drug screen( pre-employment). I was checked in by the employee that verifies insurance, payments( don't know her title). I could not believe what I was seeing. Her dress was ripped at the collar, it was dirty and she had not combed her hair. She looked like she had been in a bar fight. She should not have been at the front desk. After an hour of waiting, she called me to the desk and handed my ID to me and said 'have a seat'. Another hour passes, everyone that was in the waiting area when I arrived was gone, now a new group was coming in. I inquired about my wait time to one of the other staff, who seemed shocked I had been there that long for a urine test. The filthy one interjected, ' she's only been here for an hour.' I waited another 15 minutes , nothing , so I left. I called the referring company to find another location for the screening. After going back and forth with Care Now, I was informed they had scanned the barcode on my paperwork and could not or would not unlock it, so that's it, this filthy beast cost me a job, when she's not fit to have one. read more

The staff was very cold and rude. They looked like they hated being there. Not one smile was seen the entire visit, not even the doctor . The doctor was also very breif and did not even give me diagnosis before she left the room (which she was in for less than 3 minutes ) the nurse only told me at checkout. I asked for as cheap prescription i could get, as i could not afford anything more since my visit alone was $155. I was given over $95 worth of meds and when called to request a lower script it was denied. I will never go back to a place this cold in personality. read more

We checked in "online" around 1 PM (they called saying they were free to see him then) and have been here until 4:00 PM- it wasn't until I went back to the front desk to complain about being in the doctors room for thirty minutes, that a doctor finally appeared in the room. She demanded that I fill out paperwork at the front desk which wasn't a big deal if it was explained properly. Instead I wanted to sit and fill out my paperwork and she got furious and yelled at me across the room in front of other waiting patients. She was very unprofessional and do not need to be at the front desk! My recent experiences with Care Now were really excellent. I couldn't get in with my doctor one Friday and ended up going to Care Now. I'm really glad I got the rash checked out since it ended up being shingles! They were very kind and gave a shot for pain (like a super advil) and a steroid shot. The web check in does save a lot of time, although if you're getting labs done or waiting for a shot, you'll be there 90 minutes minimum. Still, I was very happy with the care they provided. I would rank this center a negative zero. The have no consideration for care or time. I came in at 5:20 p.m. for a school physical it is 9:02 and I am still here. If my son did not have to get it today I wouldn't have never stayed and gave them a dime of my money. I was handed paperwork with no instructions like the free clinic and not told what to do. I have been skipped over and when I went up to ask how much longer I was told I was next and still seven people have went before me. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I was extremely pleased with the ease of the web check-in. The office contacted me within the timeframe estimated and when I arrived the check in went quickly and smoothly. My waiting room stay took less than 5-10 minutes. Once I went to the back the nurse took my vitals and reviewed my history. The nurse listened to me explain my issues and concerns and asked thorough questions. I never felt rushed or as if I should wrap it up quickly. Before I knew it the physician was knocking on the door to come speak to me. Her name is Jade Lazarow , PA-C. She was very caring and gave me great advice and also calmed my worry and stress. I checked-in online at 4:30 PM on Sunday. They confirmed the appointment by speaking to me on the phone and I then drove to their location. I parked at 5:01 PM and found the doors locked. One nurse came out to tell me that the doctor couldn't see me because I needed a CT scan and they did not have the equipment to do that and I would need to go to the ER ! If this were the case they could have told me this on the phone. However, I only had a small cut that needed closing. A CT scan, really??? I told them that I would refuse the CT scan and just wanted my cut closed, which had stopped bleeding. A second nurse came out and told me that neither of the two doctors there would see me. I think the doctors just wanted to get home to watch the Cowboys game. read more

The Doctors were amazing, but as far as the front desk receptionist they were horrible. The one who attended me could not seem to give full instructions without walking away. I arrived she handed me a sheet and walked away. I filled it out with my toddler in my arms and began to walk away as I had finished filling it out, but didn't make it to put my son down before she came back in and yelled that I wasn't done and she had other papers I needed to fill out. So I put my son down and go to fill out the paper work she hands me a clip board and tell me to go fill it out in my chair. So I do, then go to return my filled out paper work and says no you hand that to the nurse, okay this would have been useful when I first walked in, not to mention the other receptionist coughing everywhere. We waited for nearly two hours which we agreed to wait at first but being a walk-in clinic it is extremely uncomfortable to sit there while people who arrive after you get seen first. The staff at the front is very rude, and like others have mentioned, refuse to acknowledge the people coming in almost as if we are bothering in their own homes; absolutely ridiculous! I approached the desk and asked the receptionist why am I not being called back. She informed me that she is the only one at the front and she has to check everyone else in. I"ve been going to the Mccart CareNow for years and the professionalism has always been on point. Since March of 2019 the culture of this facility has become ghetto nasty. The lobby is not as clean as it used to be, the coffee and tea area is not stocked with tea and coffee usually empty with sugar, coffee, tea and cups. The doctors and nursing staff are usually great, although the faces has changed with most of the nurses and doctors however the medical professionalism was working on overdrive trying to assure us patients that what we experience in the lobby wasn't what they represent.( without saying that of course) The front desk is a joke, they are rude and dismissive. I was told by the front desk person that I could get medication associated with my symptoms over the counter. Uh! Then there was a nurse of whom wasn't professional calling a patient to come up to the desk for check out, but her voice wasn't loud enough for the patient sitting in the waiting room to hear; it later was found out he suffered from a hearing impairment. The nurse that was calling the man was told that she'd have to yell louder, the nurse replied " I ain't yelling, I don't get paid enough for that". Wow!!!! The over weight receptionist was gossiping about the patients in the waiting room to the other staff, within earshot of the waiting room and direct contact with me,I was at the front counter. Then to top it off her scrubs were either to small or she was in her ghetto attire. Her butt crack and stretch marks was showing wide and deep (plumbers butt times two), not a soul in the house was telling her to pull up her pants, shut up stop gossiping and stop acting like us patients are irritating the hell out of you. My long time physician changed his practice to a Private Concierge Service. I hardly ever get sick, so the cost of a Concierge provider didn't match my needs. I joined Care Now's discount medical plan. Recently, I was on a time crunch, suffering with a scratchy throat, and I had been driving a good distance so I had to do a "Walk In" appointment. I was there, not quite an hour, but they were busy taking care of me virtually the whole time. They were friendly, fast, caring, and the diagnosis and prescriptions resolved my problem. CareNow procedures & the desk staff needs adjustment/improvement/overhaul. On Jan 4, 2018, I was I was told by the doctor that she was referring me for pain management. Today is Jan 28, 2018 - No pain management referral. I called a little over a week ago (while still in pain) & the person I spoke to said that they have 10 days to locate a clinic - which sounds absurd. However, this is opposite of what the staff person told me today (24 days later). She blamed the doctor for the lapse in care, citing that the doctor was doing the referral herself, (suspiciously was not mentioned in the earlier phone call). Even though the referral is listed in the doctors notes, according to the staff person there was no way for it to be printed so that I could run down & pickup a copy. I could do my own search for a pain management clinic under my BCBS insurance policy and/or take it back to the VA (100% disabled Veteran). There appears to be major flaws in the procedures for referrals. Nevertheless, I am still in pain & still with no referral. It is odd that the staff person that I spoke with could read the referral on her screen but could not print out a copy for me. In the least there is software that can be used so to print the screen, if nothing else make me a copy to shut me up - no 1 rating review. (gadwin.com/printscreen) I only wanted a copy to take to my insurance company n(or the VA) if there was any question or need for authorization. If I could, I would still like to get a copy & go find my own pain management clinic. Still hurting! read more
