Wow! Wow! Wow! I should have written my review earlier in the day yesterday after leaving Carepoint Dental in Colombia Heights, Minnesota, but I had been busy bouncing from one friend's house to another, to show off my new smile. Hahaha. This is a new me full of confidence and definitely with a beautiful smile. Feels so so good! No more hiding my mouth when laughing with others. Thank you Dr. Mohammed, Salad and your team of which some are Ms. Rose, Ms. Maria, Ms. Ifra and Ms. Ayan. And I must add that my appointment for final fitting yesterday, June 19th 2025 literally took less than five minutes. It was the fastest appointment. I am fully aware that Carepoint Dental provides professional and fast service but yesterday the time I took in the clinic definitely beats me. You want pain? Just go to this dental office. Let me explain. I'm a 72 year old woman, who has MJB. When I was having denture impressions, the assistant pushed down so hard on my lower jaw, I raised up out of my seat groaning the whole time. When she started and I moaned, she pushed even harder. By the time she was done, I had tears rolling down my face. As far as the dentist is concerned, he came in long enough to roughly pull on my lips, sweep his fingers around my gums, then ask two questions. That was it. He was there a matter of 5 seconds. No kidding. When I went in to get my dentures, another assistant put them in. All he asked was, if I thought they looked good. I agreed they did. Then he told me I would need to come back in 6 weeks to have them readjusted! 6 weeks?!!! What am I supposed to do in the meantime? What I did was to go back to my original dentist to have some plastic removed from the lower denture. Even she said they are unusually thick. I just kept using my older denture. At that time, I had to use gobs of adhesive just to eat. Until I found out Cushion Grip is back on the market. Now for the dentures-I've tried and tried to wear them, even using Cushion Grip, but to no avail. The teeth, simply, are too long on the upper as well as the lower denture, and, without it, they hurt in the worst way. They also have a huge overbite that I can stick my finger between, and, to this day, they have an awful taste to them. I am so disappointed. After having to wait 5 years to get new dentures (insurance reasons) this whole experience is a real let down. I had small teeth before extractions. I also have a small jaw. All of my dentures, up to now, have had small teeth. I have to admit, theirs are smaller width wise compared to other dentures I've had. Either way, I have never had an overbite. None of my other dentures did either. Now, I have to go back to them to get those dentures re-done or re-made. I'm not looking forward to this, but, because my past dentist decided the one's I have are perfect, I have no choice due to my insurance. Four more, possible, trips 45 minutes away from home. My one saving grace is, I kept my older dentures and are still using them. I just use Cushion Grip for my lower denture. At least I can still eat with them. I cannot with the new ones. If worst comes to worst, I still have my old dentures and, due to Cushion Grip, can eat in relative comfort. read more

If I could give this place 0 REVIEW I WOULD. I waited 5 months to be seen. I went to my appointment on the scheduled time and guess what my appointment was canceled because I didn't call a day In advance to tell them I'll come to my appointment that I waited 5 months for. They didn't call to tell me my appointment was canceled and when I showed up because I wasn't unaware my appointment was canceled. I was greeted with rudeness and disrespect. I made another appointment and when I showed up again they made me wait 39mins to be seen after my scheduled appointment. This place is so unprofessional. They don't care about you. At my initial appointment, when I arrived at Care Point Dental in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. I needed major fix badly. Frightening for real! But I instantly realized that Dr. Mohammed Salad's objective was to get me to that level where I can feel good when smiling again. No body at Care Point Dental ever made me feel ashamed or embarrassed about the condition of my dental health. They treated me like a valuable member of their own family, from the front desk staff to the dental chair. I remember one day when I arrived at the front desk, staff checked my temperature and was not in the normal range. I had not been sick or had any discomforts whatsoever and was worried that I would go back home and reschedule. But that was not what happened, the front desk staff asked me to take a seat and try checking the temperature again later before making a final decision. When checked again, my temperature was good and was able to stay for my appointment. Another day, I arrived with my mask on, and it was soaked in my sweat as I approached the front desk, the staff offered me a mask before I even noticed or asked for one. That is how much care they put on the people entering their clinic. And to top it all Dr. Mohammed Salad himself, took his time each time he treated me, he gave me undivided attention. Like today, when fitting my lower partial, (I think some of my teeth must have moved as they are far apart from each other making the partial harder to fit), Dr. Mohammed Salad worked diligently to make sure that it fits exactly right. He asked me to practice few times removing it and putting it back on with the other teeth left in the mouth to make sure that I had no trouble when I got home. Wow! What a Doctor!!!. This a scathing review; furthermore, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as any other professional organization related to dentistry about CarePoint Dental. We found Carepoint Dental in our neighborhood due to a flyer that was distributed in our neighborhood. Carepoint Dental is a one dentist office with a hygienist . We have had a total of 3 visits and it will be the last. Let me get two things out of the way first: 1) Nothing was done to my family that would warrant a lawsuit. 2) Carepoint had a very nice dental hygienist who was very helpful (the problem is with the doctor himself. The list of problems: 1) My daughter was told she had 5 cavities after never having a cavity in her life. After going to another dentist for a second opinion there were ZERO cavities found by a pediatric dental specialist. 2) Without fail all three times, we were all made to wait in the waiting room from 30-45 minutes even though we were at the appointments 10 minutes early. 3) The doctor dentist who owns and runs the office has ZERO patient interaction skills and "bedside manner", especially with children. Even on the first meeting with my 10 year old, there was no "Hello there. How are you? Nice to meet you."...nope... just straight to the mouth in a very cold businesslike manner. (there is a reason for this, see #4 below). 4) We found out on the first visit that this Dentist juggles 1 to 4 patients at THE SAME TIME. He will have four patients, one in each room with their mouth open and he will work on all 4 at the same time. He will inject Novocain in one mouth, then rush to the next room to poke around, then to the next room to pop in a filling then to the next room to do what ever, and just keep that rotation up all day long. No wonder he does not have time for saying hello. I don't even know if this is legal. I will find out. Regardless, we are done. In closing, there is absolutely no reason at all to use this dentist. How can one dentist say 5 cavities and another dentist specializing in children say ZERO cavities? Come on. How many of his patients has he milked with unneeded procedures that are totally trusting him? And why would someone want to wait for 10 minutes in a dental chair while the dentist runs off to work on another mouth and then abruptly come back in the room and stick his hands in your mouth for a moment then rush out of the room to do the same thing again? Sorry... not this family. P.S. Not only is the dentist not at all good with children, who may be scared, but they will not even get a little toy after their visit is done. Thumbs way down. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. I have called three times within the past month and every time I call, I was put on call for at least 15-20 minutes and eventually just hung up. If they were going to take that long, they could have at least told me or ask me to call them back at a better time. read more

I went to this place back in late November. I currently have Invisalign and needed to get my wisdom teeth removed because they were impacting my ortho care and hurting. I called several dental places around Minneapolis and St. Louis Park to set up appointments. For those that did call back, they couldn't accommodate my schedule to see me in the upcoming week. Carepoint actually called me on a Saturday, since I left them a voicemail later the day before. I was really surprised they called back on a weekend, and even better, they scheduled me in within four days. I didn't wait very long for my appointment, maybe 10 minutes. The workers in the front were very nice and welcoming. I had a cleaning first before Dr. Salad came over. He saw my bite due to my wisdom teeth and had his team schedule me in that very Friday. I was relieved! That Friday that I went in the wait was much longer, almost 20 minutes. He removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth (I'm 29 years old) within 7-10 minutes. It took a few jerks here and there, but nothing too painful. Afterwards, he prescribed some pain medication. I ended up not even picking it up. Instead, I just took Advil as advised on the bottle. My pain was typical of any wisdom teeth removal and the Advil made it better. I would definitely recommend Dr. Salad! Especially for this. Even with 4 wisdom teeth out, yes, I was miserable and unable to eat much for about 10 days, but my sockets healed well and I didn't have any issues. It's now been 2 months and I am about to schedule in my kids. I really enjoy their atmosphere and the workers. Again, I had a really good healing experience here with my wisdom teeth! read more
