Best customer service. Fixed my furnace problem when no one else could. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Bill is not polite and extremely rude. On 7/14/26 our AC in our apartment we rent went out. Mind…read moreyou for back story my boyfriend and I go to work from 6am to around 5pm. The AC stays on at 75 or 76 while we are gone because we have animals. When I get home it gets set to 70. I got home on the 14th at 6pm and it was at 75 and still running. So, I set it to 70 and went about my night. At 8 I realize it is roasting in our apartment. I got to the thermostat and it says 79. The AC is actively running so I go to a vent and its blow warm air out. I made sure the heat was not accidentally put on and it said Cooling. So, I waited for my boyfriend to get home at 8:30 and he changed the filter and still nothing happened. So we turned it off to maybe reset it. It never turned back on. Finally after it got to 82 in the apartment it turned bsck on when we set it to 67. Again it was just blowing warm air. Finally we called pur landlord which connected us to the emergency maintenance. After 10-15 mins went by the maintenance called us. My boyfriend was talking to a man on the phone and the man asked right away "so you have issues with the AC" my boyfriend said yes the air is on but the temperature in the apartment keeps raising. The man over the phone goes "what is it at now?" We said 81 and was set at 67 because thats what it turned on at. The man cut us off immediately and said "oh thats your fault. AC cannot be set up 70 otherwise it breaks so I guess it will need ti he fixed". We were caught off guard by that comment because it did not make sense but we dont know anything about AC so we just said okay. Then the man goes "so we can schedule it to be fixed tomorrow (Tuesday) around 7am". Of course if there was no other time we said thats fine but what should we do in the meantime should we keep it off. Again this man interrupts the question and this time gives attitude he said, "well we are busy so if you guys think you can just cut the line of everyone else in like with AC issues then I am going to reschedule this appointment to Thursday so you can sit in the heat". We were immediately appalled as his comment especially when we asked a simple question. This is when I took the phone and asked him why the attitude from him was needed. I admit I was angry but I kept the conversation respectful. I said yhe comment was unnecessary as we were asking a question. He replied with "no you guys were acting like you should be the priority over every other customer we have we are busy so if thats the case I can happily tell my team not to get there until Thursday" I continued with that is not what was said. I told him we were asking what to do in the meantime as it is 82 and we will not be home at the time he will be here Tuesday. The responded with "The temperature is 80 i have worked in weather way over that so you are fine" I responded with thats great that you think that but we have pets that cant do that. He said "that sounds like you should have thought about it prior" I responded with we pay rent and a high amount of rent to live in this apartment and this is how you are talking to us we have no AC and it was 96 outaide today about will be tomorrow what are we supposed to do. He said "it sounds like you guys should have had a plan b in place for situations like a spare AC unit" I said again we rent we pay enough to where having a spare unit we are fine with you coming here tomorrow around 7am or so but we will not be here how do yoy plan on getting into our building? He said "well you arent leaving it unlocked? How will we get in i have a team coming" i said thats why I asked since we will not be here and it will be locked. He said "well we have a unit key" i said great. Will you be coming to our apartment or a team. He said "my team will be coming to your apartment" I said what is your name and he said Bill from Richters Heating and Cooling. He then said "well do i have permission to enter your apsrtment or what" i said yes and then said thank you and hung up. The entire time this conversation happened Bill had nothing but a poor rude attitude. He was extremely passive aggressive and just belittling. He blamed us for everything and was extremely unprofessional. The way he talked to customers was ridiculous. I understand that it is busy as we never had an issue with the AC being fixed the next day. But to jumped to conclusions and assume that is what we meant and tell us that he will be moving our time to thursday so we can sit in the heat was so uncalled for and down right repulsive. Everything he said was uncalled for and inappropriate. I wish I had recording this phone call to submit it as proof because I was in shock that we were being talked to that way over a simple question. Not once did we say anything about being first or anything. We were respectful the entire time. Bill does NOT care about customers or their problems. This is HIS job and HE DECIDED to do this. It was completely and utterly ridiculous.

What a relief! Scott was our technician, who was very knowledgable, efficient and so nice. He replaced a capacitor, cleaned the coils, checked all fluid levels, tested it and even swapped out a new furnace filter that was old. The cost was very affordable. Fantastic service! Would call them again in a heartbeat. Great job!

When he was done I asked if he could also do the regular maintenance on it because we had never had it done. He said he couldn't that day but if I called the office and signed up for the yearly maintenance I could save 10% on the service call for that day. I called and signed up. Today was the day he had to come and do the maintenance and again he showed up at the scheduled time. Very polite and professional every time. If you ever call Pat's, ask them to send Brady. I think we paid less than $600 for the repair and yearly maintenance on both our AC and furnace.

Michael not only diagnosed and repaired the boiler in record time, but he was also kind enough to take the time to thoroughly explain how a hydronic heater works, and all of the necessary maintenance involved. Michael was extremely knowledgeable with all things HVAC. We were charged a very fair price for the labor, especially considering the weekend callout. Fast forward a few weeks, and we called out Michael to update some of the heater controls. Again, Michael provided outstanding service and corrected a few other issues with our hydronic system. Still highly recommended!

WOW!! RUN!! Don't walk!! These guys are AMAZING!! So.... I live in a condo complex that…read morewas built in 1988. The owners were instructed that we needed to have our dryer vents brought "up to code" as most of the vents had become disconnected... and were venting somewhere inside the building.. but not venting out side the the building. Argh... a challenging task for sure. I called several companies to come out and give me an estimate. Every single company I called said "I will find your disconnect, but you are responsible for replacing your drywall, painting, etc" Not good news. Then... Ducts On Call came out... and they spent 4 hours researching... trying to figure out which vent was mine that exited out of the back of the building. But since every single dryer vent was disconnected in the interior of the building... there was NO way they could figure it out without tearing up the ceiling in mine, and my neighbors units. I was SO frustrated. But then Nick suggested we put in a new vent duct from my unit straight out the front of the building. It was my only option. He said we would need to schedule a time in the future... but I told him I needed it done in the next 3 weeks. He said... "I will make this happen for you" Well for starters... he DID NOT CHARGE ME for the 4 hours he spent trying to figure out which vent was mine. HE SAID... "I didn't solve the problem.. so I will not charge you" What?? 4 hours of your time for free?? Moving forward..... Nick and his crew came back 2 weeks later to install my NEW, up to code dryer duct on a new path out the front of my condo. I was SO not looking forward to having my ceiling ripped open to have the duct installed. So the day had come. Nick arrived before his scheduled time and he went to to work. I asked him... "How much of my ceiling do you need to open up?" He said... "I'm not opening your ceiling... I'm going to drill a hole in the exterior of your building, and slide the new duct straight back to your dryer connection" I was beside myself! I could go on and on... but let me tell you, this guy is the real deal!! He is incredibly gifted at what he does... super friendly... hard worker, and gets the shit done!! For what I thought was going to be a day of HELL... turned out to be a day of BLISS. I CAN NOT recommend this company any more than I do!! They were AMAZING... and the job was smooth, and quick, and so much easier than I dreamed it would be. Let me state again... that I called several companies to get the job done.... and these guys were one of the newer companies I called.... but I hit the jackpot!! Trust me!! If your need Duct work done... these guys were stellar from start to finish. And no... I'm not related to them... I'm not his high school friend... and I knew nothing about them, but I took a chance... and boy... am I glad I did. Amazing! THESE GUYS KICK ASS!! Give them a try!! Thank You Ducts On Call!!

No repairs were performed and I was ultimately told that the AC was operating normally, without a solution to the temperature difference I had called about. I understand paying for diagnostic time, but $300 for this visit felt very expensive, and I wish the additional charges had been clearer when I scheduled. Update: I appreciate the business owner commenting on their charge process. The technician specifically noted charging me for 45 minutes, and I have an email time stamped 45 minutes after he started work. Also, none of the paperwork notes that the initial charge includes 30 minutes of time, which further emphasizes my point about transparency. Update: Update: I previously listed the wrong dollar amounts, so I am correcting them after reviewing my invoice. I was charged $149 for the diagnostic visit plus $130 for an additional 45 minutes of labor, for a total of $292.95 with tax. After the business stated that the technician spent approximately 75 minutes diagnosing my AC, I requested their timestamped records. Their records show that at 12:38 PM I signed their Customer Acknowledgement stating that "all work has been completed," and my invoice was emailed at 12:40 PM. However, they are counting time through 12:51 PM toward the 75-minute visit based on their tracking system. I disputed the additional labor charge and requested a refund. The company refused and offered only a credit toward future service, which I declined. My concern is not that diagnostic work costs money. My concern is being charged for diagnostic labor that I do not believe is supported by the company's own records.
