    Goat Roti
    Shernell H.

Disclaimer: this review is solely based on a takeout order. So, the first few words that immediately comes to mind are massive portions and affordable. For my introductory meal to Caribbean Grill, I decided on the Goat Roti. In my opinion, the Goat Roti was basically two servings, which was approximately $15 (a win). As it relates to taste, for me, I was expecting a little bit my flavoring and succulent-ness (lol I know it's not a word) of the goat with more potatoes on the inside of the roti. But overall, it was okay. I will definitely be open to trying another dish (when I am in the area) to make another assessment of the Caribbean Grill.

Yall can go ahead and run to this here spot. Actually friendly/kind service (don't usually find that for Caribbean food spots lol) and a nice clean open space. That goat roti is something I would come back for weekly! That and their beef patties - so good! Beef and chicken patties both have just a little spice so if you don't like a little kick then don't get it. I thought it was mild but noticeable. Both patties were a great size and meat to bread ratio. Perfect snack on the go. I found the oxtail to be sweeter than I would go for but was cooked well. The goat had great flavor and the roti was cooked perfectly. I'll be back whenever I'm back that way

Don't get it. Brown stew chicken

The 1 star is for the portion. This was very disappointing. The amount of unseasoned sauce on this chicken you would think the chicken wouldn't be dry. Nope, dry, a little hard and random bones in the sauce. The sauce barely had flavor. The rice is just ok and the cabbage eh.

Came here because I was looking for some roti... the food was hot and delicious and plentiful. They give you so much food which is a plus. Also got coco bread and a chicken patty. The coco bread was okay as far as the chicken patty I had better. The people are nice and courteous. The restaurant is also nice and clean.

BBQ jerk wings and shrimp roti The shrimp literally falls apart. I am so disappointed. No flavor.

Shrimp roti and bbq jerk wings. Shrimp literally falls apart and has no flavor at all. Extremely disappointed.

So this place is in District Heights. It's ran with a crew of two. I love some Jamaican food so I stopped in. The lady was super nice and sweet. The Jamaican ma cooking was also nice. The only down fall was it was dirty in the eating area. My food had lint in it so I just threw it away. We ordered a Jerk Chicken Sandwich, wings, coco bread, and a vegetable stir fry. I want to give them a better review but the lint did it for me. The bread is freshly cooked there so it was soggy immediately after ordering. There was just too much ranch. Probably wouldn't come back unless someone I knew was in a dire craving for this.

Ordered vegetable roti & got dry bland cabbage in half cooked roti... was told I should've asked what was in it beforehand, but who only expects cabbage in VEGETABLE roti? Went here to cheer me up from a rough day & this just made it worse... never again.

Okay, I can be very hard to please when it comes to Jamaican food. The food looked good and the wait time wasn't long. The price was fair ($10 for small jerk wing meal) However the taste was bony that authentic taste of great Jamaican food. For example the rice and peas was very bland, and the bbq jerk wings just tasted like spicy bbq baked chicken.... Will I visit again? Maybe. I just wish the flavor would stand out.

This was my first time here at this restaurant. I ordered takeout thru the Yelp app and my food was ready by the time that was estimated. I ordered the curry goat and oxtail combination platter with a beef patty as an appetizer. First, my oxtail and curry goat was so flavorful, the rice was perfect and the cabbage nice and crunchy the way I like it. Everything flowed together nicely and was seasoned perfectly. Next, the beef patty. Whew. I was not expecting how spicy it was but it was soooo good. I wish I had gotten 2 or 3 for later. It was crispy and hot. A nice size also. Overall, I would definitely come here again.

Service was excellent five stars. Catfish was cooked well but a little salty wish they cut down on seasoning felt my pressure going up eating it LOL. I remember this place used to be to be a hibachi carry out of some sort not too long ago. However I've been seeing their fried rice online and it grabbed my attention because of the veggies and the dark color it had. It reminded me of how the fried rice from the Chinese carry out used to be in the 90's early 2000's. For some reason nowadays when you order fried rice , there tends to be nothing inside of it besides onions and bean sprouts. What happened to the peas and carrots!!!!! I entered the store on a Friday night--which had only 1 customer who was waiting on her order. I walked to the register and was greeted with a smile from a polite young lady. I ordered the fried shrimp with shrimp fried rice, which is actually one of their combos. I believe it was $11.99/$12.99 something like that, but you get 6 shrimp or you can get 12. They have a nice amount of t of seating available if you want to dine in, I believe they have a restroom for customers available as well. The store appeared clean as well as the parking lot. The food came out quickly, cashier showed it to me before bagging ,it which was cool. Everything looked great. The shrimp were jumbo, I highly doubt you need 12 pieces unless you have a large appetite. The shrimp were lightly coated, not panko breaded. Cooked to perfection and perfectly golden brown. The rice was tasty-I did add one packet of soy sauce and that was all I needed. The food stayed hot for a very long time, and my shrimp didn't get soggy before I arrived at my destination. I will return and try something different the next time. Give this spot a try, I think they need a little bit of Yelp help....

Great suburban meet up and hang out spot!…read more I was surprised to stumble on this place and meet up with some friends for a happy hour. I came here to meet up with some friends for a quick happy hour and a few appetizers. The drinks were strong, and the food was really fresh, good! I tried the crab balls and the blackened scallops. I was quite impressed on how fresh everything was and how the food was prepared, including the presentation. The food was on point, great, and the drinks are top-notch..... a winner! Well seasoned seafood eats, and the like...like chicken tenders and main big dishes....like grilled salmon plates, broiled fished and salads. I tried the crab balls and blackened scallops. Both dishes were super fresh and really good...most of all seasoned. The crab balls alone was loaded with lump crab meat. I only wish that they included 3 crab balls instead of two considering the price. Other than this, I highly recommend a stop or visit here. Looking forward to trying more dishes and a return visit.

This restaurant is not good…read more Out of stock food. We were the first people there on a Saturday at 11:00 on the dot. They did not have any croissants and they did not have any cocktail sauce (for the fried shrimp that they put on the seafood trip salad). Service was uneven. When we sat down, we asked for water and a carafe of mimosa. The mimosa came within four minutes. It took us another 15 minutes to get water at our table. The servers were very nice and friendly and professional. But maybe just new because they didn't seem to know to refill water glasses. I got their famous seafood dip as a starter. The chips were great. The sauce was not. As the cheese dip cooled, it developed a weird consistency. The flavor was off as well. Maybe it needed some seasoning salt and some pepper. The cheese flavor was odd and there was not enough spinach in it. The chicken wings were good. Good flavor (not spicy at all!!). Average sauce. Good dipping sauce on the side. The utensils were weird. It is strange to wrap actual silver utensils in a paper napkin instead of a cloth napkin. I did not like that. I also did not like that the side condiments came in plastic containers as opposed to small dishes, either porcelain or metal. The seafood trio salad was not good. The salmon and the crabcake tasted horrible. The shrimp was fried and I t needed more seasoning on the shrimp. The salmon had a mealy consistency to it and the flavor was bad as well. The crabcake was not good. Whatever was binding it together was also not good. The salad dressing was OK. There are figs or dates or some kind of dried fruit in the salad that I was not expecting because it was not on the menu. So be aware of that. This was a disappointing experience.
