Love this spot. The people are nice and authentic. They have tofu dishes for us vegetarians and Irish moss. I haven't had homemade Irish moss since NY so I was so happy to see it. Curry tofu is hearty, filling and delicious! My picky 2 year old loves it. I think she'd eat an adult size if I let her. And they're so cool for their kids eat free. That says a lot about an establishment. Oh and the sweet potato cake is icing on the cake. So good! First off please do note that Yelp has this same location listed as a Tropicana Eatery for this same address, but it is not. Anyway I would rate this place a 4.5 overall....gotta have some room for improvement! I go here all the time but never for the buffet that they have, I normally just get pick up. I always call ahead and order and its always ready when I get there. The area in which they cook and prep food is all in the open so you see everything being done which i like really. I prefer seeing what people do to be honest. It lets you get an overall picture of the cleanliness of the place. In any event I always get the Jerk Chicken when I go there. And let me say my family is Black, Pakistani, Jamaican and Filipino to name a few things. Hence we know spicy food, Curries, and Jerks. The Jerk chicken here is ULTRA hot and I love hot food!!!! My wife normally has to get places to make her food and even that is spicy to her. She tasted the food here the first time and was yelling. I tasted to see what her problem was and thinking it would be nothing, but I even choked a little because I was not expecting it to be hot. So if you love spicy food this is the place to come!!!!! I ordered some jerk wings and it came covered in this red sauce that was kinda sweet and tasted weird. They were also old and dry. My beans and rice I could tell was kinda of old too and so was my cabbage. I wouldn't recommend the wings that's for sure. read more

I called my order (combination curry goat & chicken) in & the woman on the phone took it efficiently & told me it'd be ready in 5 minutes. I got there to pick it up & the place was so nice & cute. The cashier was fast & when I got my food it was nice & hot. The taste was great; the goat & chicken were both tender & delicious with little to no fat. I have been here quite a few times. Although I have never eaten any of the meat choices they have, I do enjoy the rice & pees! The cabbage is wonderful and the Rum Cake...MmmmMmmm. I liked the saltfish and ackee with boiled dumplings. I also ordered the escoveitch red snapper fish. The fish in both dishes was a bit dried. The rice and beans as well as the cabbage was not seasoned as well to me. I thought maybe because it was put in a separate container from the snapper. There was a bit of a wait for my food to be prepared but that didn't bother me much. The service was friendly enough for a Jamaican spot if u know what I mean :-). I had not been here in quite some time and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! We were looking for a quick spot with fresh food that wasn't fast food and this hit the spot. We ordered the jerk chicken and shrimp combo platter and the escovich/red snapper fish. Customer service was great and they even gave us two small curry chicken dishes for our kids since the jerk as too spicy. Initially, I was satisfied with the food I ordered from Caribbean Grill. I recently used Uber Eats to have the Curried Tofu delivered to me. I called before placing my order via Uber Eats, to confirm whether or not the food contained dairy, as I am vegan. The person I spoke with told me the food did NOT contain dairy. I decided to place an order yesterday for the same thing, the Curried Tofu. Something told me to call, again, just to confirm whether or not the food contained dairy, and this time, the person I spoke with says YES, the food contains dairy and that they use margarine. I immediately try to cancel my Uber Eats order. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to and had to call Customer Service. They were reluctant to reimburse me any money. After having to talk to a manager, they finally decided to only charge me for the price of the meal, and they covered the delivery fee. Never again will I order from Caribbean Grill. Clearly, the workers are not knowledgeable as to what is used in their food. One person tells you one thing, another person tells you something completely different. How can I receive clarity if I have questions, when the employees themselves all have different information. Never, never again will I spend my money there. read more
