I for many years had individual close my pool and we opened it ourselves, t they all retired and since we used caribbean for pool chemicals we automatically chose them to.close our pool. 2 years ago they told us we needed a pillow, so we bought one. last season we had service to assist In opening, they came and charged us saying everything was fine. it wasn't! they ended up coming 3 times , then while I was away they said our filter was broken and we needed a new filter. $$$$$. they were very rude When I challenged why was this not noticed on the 1st appointment. I was at their mercy and told them to install the new filter. then came time to close the pool, they sent a couple of guys who literally knew little about pools, they didn't use the pillow that we were sold said we didn't need it. we opened our pool this week , green. I am thinking they didn't even use closing chemicals, I am praying that the center drain line was properly blown out. if they were apologetic or polite one thing the woman is down right nasty. she doesn't take complaints well, so convenience is no substitute for professionalism. I had deal with the guys that worked there and i was satisfied..but this chick need some more training in costomer service and how to run businessif so! she is very ignorant and rude...I called about a bill she keep running her mouth not letting me speak. Although the front office experience was uneven, the two guys who closed our pool were knowledgeable, competent, and friendly. I'm new to this organization and hope to work with them again in the future. Pricing was a bit higher than expected. read more

Was told by the girl on the phone they would be able to open, explained to her that we didn't have a pump. She said everything would be fine. Guys get here and tells me we need to pump off the water and they couldn't do it but just give them a call back and they would come ASAP. Ok fine. We buy the pump, pump the water, and call them back. Girl tells me they're booked 3 weeks out and that I should use Youtube... Apparently this business is family owned so complaints to a manager would go unheard or followed thru. Caribbean installed our 14 X 28 in ground pool over about 4 weeks in August. They did a great job. Showed up when they said they would and completed everything as promised. They communicated with us e Rey step of the way. This was a complex installation because due to a narrow yard and a driveway with limited access. Major electrical work had to be done in order to meet code. Their electrician is the best you could ask for. Working to pull permits in our City isn't simple either but it all worked out and we were in our new pool before Labor Day. If there were any negatives, it was the extra costs for stone, concrete, etc. Even though we were informed up front, we just kept writing checks. Also, the concrete company cleaned the truck's chute out after each pour. This left large chunks of concrete all over the yard. Usually the contractor is responsible for the subcontractors work but apparently not in this case. It was a very labor intensive cleanup from that alone. If you're thinking about a pool I highly recommend Caribbean. read more

I spoke with Dean for a few years about installing an in ground pool. He came to my property in 2019 to look at the project site. Gave me a quote. Finally in Jan 2021 i contacted Dean to move forward with pool he updated the prices we signed a contract and I asked him to come back to look at project area. We wanted him to give us some advise on where to install a retaining wall by where the pool was going in and I wanted to make sure he'd have enough room to install the pool. He let me know he was unable to come he had knee surgery and he remembered my property and it would be fine. He told me they would be there 9/13/21 to install pool. Dean and I went back and forth through text I had a lot of questions he was great about getting right back to me. I was very pleased and never seen coming what happened. I was called on 9/12 to let me know Dean would be at my house 7-7:30. His guys started showing up about 7:45 really nice guys they were confused they said my pool was 16'X34' and it was 16'X38' so we waited for Dean. I'm getting annoyed he shows up an hour late. He walks in with a problem lets me know I'm wrong pools 16x34 I had the text to prove him wrong Pool is 16x38 then before any work began he starts up charging me for the larger size which he already gave me the price in the text. I showed him the text he said "well too bad that's not in our contract" then he lets me know he's losing 7-8k dollars on this job. Hes upset due to where the retaining wall was located and refused to do the job! I waited 9 months for him to come install my in ground pool and instead of figuring out a solution he had a temper tantrum and left. He did give me back my $1000 deposit on site but I wanted my pool put in.. beware of this guy sheep in wolves clothing. read more

They're a piece of shit excuse for a professional pool company; they give you the run around, lie to you about their capabilities in seeing a project through, destroy your property and only after doing so tell you they can't install a new pool, leaving you with no resolution, a gaping hole on your property, an empty wallet and your heart ripped out of your chest. Be Aware: Everything was friendly when we bought the above-ground pool. All staff and some ownership staff were not friendly and very unprofessional when we called them on an install error. It took multiple unreturned calls to staff and ownership to get the install error fixed. An ownership staff person was rude and extremely unprofessional multiple times on the phone and in person. An install staff person finally came over, lied to us over the phone and did not fix the error. A different ownership staff person did not return multiple calls, did not look at the problem and finally told us per email that there was no error. We called him out on this and had to resort to telling him we would take Caribbean to small claims court if they did not correct the error. That ownership staff person finally came over and fixed the install error. It seems like all they care about is their next sale. Their professionalism, friendliness, follow-up and service was horrendous once they had their money. The install error was fixed but it took many, many calls, visits and emails before they would fix their own error. When buying the pool an ownership staff person also told us the pool would be installed by ownership family. Our pool was not installed by the people she named. The price was the same as other area pool companies but everything else was horrendous. We would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I purchased a complete Salt conversion and new liner for my inground pool. During the estimate and installation, the owner and his son were extremely courteous and attentive to our needs. After installation, the flow indicator was on upside down and when I questioned that, I was told by the son, that was the way the water flowed and not to concern myself about it. Well, if I stood on my head that would be fine, but I don't. After several arguments, I decided to let it go. Also, they never once discussed that an electrician would have to be called in at my expense. That is a very important thing to discuss, don't you think???? Lastly, they placed the old flow jets on the new liner. Really??? For what I overpaid for the liner, you think they could throw in three little flow jets? Nope!!!!! Good Luck with this one! My wife and I are completely satisfied with our new in ground pool and concrete patio thanks to Caribbean Pools and its owner Dean. When we initially called to inquire about their pools and service the young man working there was very informative and courteous. He advised us that the owner Dean would contact us personally to set up an appt. Dean was able to come to our home the very next day for a consolation. He was very professional and explained all of our options and sat with us for two hours and together we designed our dream backyard. Not only were they able to start our job within a reasonable amount of time but his staff would even take care of getting our pool permit! Dean also informed us that he would be on the job from start to finish. Dean informed us that the pool itself came with a lifetime warranty and most of the liners had extended warranties also. They recommended an electrician and fence company as well which was very helpful! The entire crew was professional and clean and courteous. I didn't realize Caribbean pools has been a family owned business for over 24 years, that's important to us. We feel that a local business with strong ties to the community is worth our business! I would highly recommend Caribbean Pools to anyone interested in a pool and or concrete work. read more
